MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Alice Virginia Lewis, 75, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 4, 1999, at her home.
Born May 14, 1924, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late William Dodge and Virginia Huff Dodge.
He retired from the former Martinsburg Paper Box Co.
She is survived by her husband, Scott H. Lewis; two sons, Melvin E. Martin of Inwood, W.Va., and Michael W. Harrell of Martinsburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth D. Robinson; two brothers, Ira Dodge and George Dodge; and one sister, Geneva Cline.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Garry Felton will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Frances P. Watson
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Frances P. Leake Watson, 61, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 4, 1999, in Charles Town.
Born July 1, 1937, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of Herman and Edith Butts McDaniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brinnis Franklin Leake, in 1974.
She retired from Corning Glass and had later worked as a private duty nurse's aide.
She attended New Hope Assembly of God, Shepherdstown, W.Va.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Leake Welsh of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Junior Franklin Leake of Inwood, W.Va.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Lee Leake, and her sister, Mary Robinson.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Martinsburg. The Rev. Phillip V. Bayliss will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. before the services at the funeral home.

GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. - Edna Charlotte Courtney, 86, of Great Cacapon, died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at Valley View Nursing Home.
Born June 7, 1912, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward Jacob and Annabelle Virginia Mercer Adams.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Allen Bohrer; and her second husband, Ernest Courtney.
She had been a homemaker most of her life.
She was a member of Chapel of Praise Church, Warfordsburg, Pa.
She is survived by five daughters, Anna Marie Duckwall of Great Cacapon, Mary Louise Parkinson of Martinsburg, W.Va., Rita Higgins of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Anna Mae Foote of North Carolina and Dora Wynn of New Carrolton, Ga.; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Edna Mae Bohrer, Edna Charlotte Bohrer and Carol Ann Bohrer; a sister, Nellie Waugh; four brothers, Earl Adams, Nelson Adams, Charles Adams and James Adams; and a grandson, Robert Allen Canby.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Jack Hiles Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the convenience of friends.
Neil H. Davis
BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - Neil Hamilton Davis, 74, of Route 1, died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at his home.
Born May 29, 1925, in Wheeling, W.Va., he was the son of the late Perrin Davis and Sallie Rachel Rice Davis Gerard.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Sheehy Davis.
He was retired. He was a truck driver with Rockwell International in California with 25 years service and was owner and operator leased to Lighting Transportation in Winchester, Va.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Geralene Brown Davis; three daughters, Deborah A. Cassity of Seattle, Wash., Lurlene Davis of Canoga Park, Calif., and Emiley Marquez of Palmdale, Calif.; one son, Bryant Davis of Bunker Hill; one stepson, Gary Cross of Bunker Hill; one sister, Jennie Lee White of Terra Alta, W.Va.; one brother, Howard Gerard of Cerllin, Md.; eight grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Welsh; and one granddaughter.
Services will be Sunday at 3:15 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va. The Rev. Louise Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by Newton D. Baker Post 896, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Berkeley Post 14, American Legion.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Elsie Ethel Moreland, 78, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at the home of her daughter in Martinsburg.
Born March 9, 1921, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William and Gertie Mae Swartz Shores.
She retired from Royce Hosiery Mills. Earlier, she worked for the former Interwoven Mills.
She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, and had been a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert W. Moreland; a daughter, Anna Mae Dodge of Martinsburg; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucy Fogle and Clare Shores; and three brothers, Howard Shores, Albert Shores and Marion Shores.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church. The Revs. Keith G. Edwards and Arnold Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Paul Franklin Kesecker, 96, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at his home.
Born Nov. 14, 1902, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Peter L. and Mary Elizabeth Eckerd Kesecker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Viola Kesecker, in 1996.
He attended Red Hill School and Mount Trimble School.
He retired in 1968 as a school bus driver for Morgan County Schools. He was an operator of Crossroads Cannery Co. until it closed in 1979. He delivered eggs in the Tri-County area.
He was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
He was a farmer and member of Morgan County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by two sons, Leo V. Kesecker and M. Dean Kesecker, both of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Mary Stock of Middleburg, Pa., and Evelyn Carney of Vero Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth and Dorothy; and eight brothers, John, George, Ira, Luke, Roy, Boyd, Lawrence and Earl.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Morgan County. The Revs. Henry L. Fisher and Wayne Frum will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery, Morgan County.
