INWOOD, W.Va. - Hattie Virginia Thompson Murphy, 87, of Inwood, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown.
She was the daughter of the late Alex and Jennie Schell Myers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lester Thompson; and her second husband, Harry J. Murphy.
She was a former employee of Interwoven Hosiery Mill in Martinsburg, W.Va.
She was a member of Inwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Placanica and Barbara Watson, both of Martinsburg; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul A. Thompson; a sister; and four brothers.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The Rev. Hennis Fox will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are by Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Martinsburg.
Eleanor L. Bradley
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eleanor Louise Bradley, 55, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at her home.
Born April 17, 1943, in Charles Town, W.Va., she was the daughter of Kathleen White Bradley of Ranson, W.Va., and the late Forrest Heiston Bradley.
She was a 1961 graduate of Charles Town High School.
She retired after 30 years with Giant Food Store, Leesburg, Va.
She was of the Brethren faith.
She is survived by a close friend, Jo Ann Jones; four sisters, Nancy Bradley and Sylvia B. Small, both of Charles Town, Anna Beard of Fairfax, Va., and Pam Davis of Ranson; and three brothers, Forrest H. Bradley Jr. of Charles Town, Tommy Bradley of Laurel, Md., and Jesse D. Bradley of Ranson.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Lay Ministers Mark Whitacre and Amos Nicholson will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 9 a.m.

Louise Harder
HALLTOWN, W.Va. - Louise Harder, 74, of Halltown, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.
Born May 1, 1924, in Silver Grove, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Agnes Piper Longerbeam.
She retired from Ranson Post Office as a custodian.
She was a member of Bolivar International Pentecostal Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Harder Sr.; one daughter, Elizabeth Carter of Charles Town, W.Va.; five sons, Eddie Wines of Ranson, Gene Wines of Bolivar, W.Va., Kenneth Harder Jr. of Kearneysville, W.Va., David Harder and Donald Harder, both of Halltown; one sister, Marie Ford of Ranson; three brothers, Leon Longerbeam of Ranson, James Longerbeam of Jacksonville, Fla., and Millard Longerbeam of Charles Town; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and one step-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Scott Harder.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bolivar International Pentecostal Church of Christ, Bolivar. The Rev. B. G. Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Lutheran cemetery, Bolivar.
The family will receive friends today and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, 970 Washington St., Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
Edward W. Beasley Jr.
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Edward Woodrow Beasley Jr., 55, of 144 Broadview Court, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 3, 1943, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Edward Woodrow Beasley, Sr.
He was a graduate of Williamsport High School.
He was employed by Jamison Cold Storage Door Company for over 33 years.
He was a member of Chestnut Grove Bible Church.
He was a member of Lodge 120 Loyal Order of Moose, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Conococheague Tribe 84 IORM; National Bowling Association, and Jamison Golf League.
He is survived by two daughters, Denise R. Johnson of Hagerstown and Deborah K. Nelson of Martinsburg; one son, Edward W. Beasley II of Gerrardstown, W.Va; his fiance, Carol J. Dyer of Hagerstown; and two grandchildren.
He also is survived by his mother and one sister.
He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Ban Beasley; and one brother, Vannie Beasley.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Albert L. Leaf Memorial Chapel of Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Bruce Gephart will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.

Ruth R. Pittsnogle Clark
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Ruth Rosalie Pittsnogle Clark, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999 at City Hospital.
Born March 23, 1933, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Perry H. and Bertha B. Jones Pittsnogle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Clark.
She was employed with Interwoven Mills Royce Hosiery.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She was a member of the Women of Moose, Chapter 738 and V.F.W. Auxiliary Unit 896.
She is survived by one sister, Grace Keller of Martinsburg; one brother, James L. Pittsnogle of Martinsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Hensell, Doris Crouse, and Dorothy Pittsnogle; and four brothers, Paul Pittsnogle, Alston Pittsnogle, Lester Pittsnogle and Carroll Pittsnogle.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale cemetery. The Rev. Raymond E. Jones will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
