He was a member of DAV; American Legion; and Moose Lodge; all in Deltona.
He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Isabelle Dodson; three daughters, Beverly L. Brandes of Columbia, S.C., Barbara J. Horner of Ijamsville, Md., and Julia Cornwell of Deltona; one son, James L. Dodson Jr. of Kingsport, Tenn.; three sisters, Fannie P. Kauffman of Hagerstown, Eva M. Diehm of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Mary C. Markle of Crystal River, Fla.; four brothers, Mitchell H. Dodson of Greencastle, Pa., Elmer F. Dodson and Walter R. Dodson, both of Hagerstown and Jesse N. Dodson of Holly Hill, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley L. Beasley.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, Orange City, Fla.
The viewing will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Mary E. Coady, 88, of Shepherdstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown Nursing Home.
Born May 10, 1909, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Conley Coady.
She is survived by two nieces, Susan Coady Kemnitzer of Shepherdstown and Patricia Coady Lorne of Pacific Palisades, Calif.
A Memorial Mass will be said Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Shepherdstown. The Rev. Matthew Rowgh will be celebrant.
Private burial prayers will be said at Sleepy Hollow cemetery, Terrytown, N.Y.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - John Paul Emory Sr., 88, of Washington, D.C., and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at Sibley Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Born Sept. 16, 1909, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late John S. and Rosa McFillan Emory.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Virginia Oliver Emory, in 1988.
He was a self-employed plastering contractor.
He was a member of Metropolitan United Methodist Church, Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Federal Lodge 1, AF&AM of Washington, D.C.
He is survived by three sons, John Paul Emory Jr. of Surfside Beach, S.C., William Larry Emory of Fredericksburg, Va., and David Patrick Emory of Boston; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. G. Edward Grove will officiate. Burial will be in New Norborne cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Vivian Julia Yost, 73, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Boyd J. and Iva P. Fredman Yost.
She was previously employed by Alabaugh's Canning Factory. She retired in 1990 from Seely's Pine Furniture.
She is survived by one son, Rodney B. Yost of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Susan Young and Esta Lee Fox, both of Berkeley Springs; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Arletta Yost.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Alpine United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs. Steve Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Alpine United Methodist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Thomas F. Johnson, 84, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 30, 1913, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Norman and Anna Lee Peterson Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche M. Johnson.
He was formerly employed by Graham Orchard in Gerrardstown, W.Va.
He was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Gerrardstown.
He was a member of IBPOE Lodge 402 Pride of Berkeley.
He is survived by five daughters, Elsie Johnson, Geneva McDowell, Rebecca Johnson and Blanche Roper, all of Martinsburg, and Charlotte Ibarrondo of Camden, N.J.; four sons, Thomas F. Johnson Jr., Kenneth Johnson, Percy Johnson and Terry Johnson, all of Martinsburg; one sister, Elsie Dawson of Darkesville, W.Va.; two brothers, Albert Johnson of Darkesville and George Johnson of Virginia; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Florine Johnson and Violet Jackson; one son, Norman Johnson; two sisters, Margaret McGruder and Anna Dawson; and two brothers, Paul Johnson and Carl Johnson.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Alfred E. Statesman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Patricia Miriam Davies, 62, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Nov. 22, 1935, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Frances Elizabeth Johnson Ferris of Tamarac, Fla., and the late Francis Paul Ferris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Army Sgt. Thomas Edward Davies, in 1991.
She attended Roxborough High School, Philadelphia.
She worked as a cashier at Thompson's Grocery Store, Hanover, Md.; as a cook at Fairfax Restaurant, The Country Inn and Risinger-Stotler Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4019, all in Berkeley Springs; as a seamstress at Berkeley Springs Garment Factory and Vanguard Products, both in Berkeley Springs; and most recently she had been a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by three daughters, Miriam Davies of Brooklyn, Md., Elizabeth Shifflett of Baltimore and Ann Marie Michael of Berkeley Springs; two sons, Michael Joseph Ferris of Glen Burnie, Md., and Edward Thomas Davies of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Margaret Middleton of Norristown, Pa., Claire Ziejewski of Tamarac and Eileen Ciccarone of Jeffersonville, Pa.; two brothers, Francis Ferris of North Wales, Pa., and James Ferris of Bridgeport, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 116 S. Washington St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. John S. Ledford will officiate. Burial will be private.

PAW PAW, W.Va. - Agnes Rose Twigg Galliher, 88, of Paw Paw, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
Born Aug. 7, 1909, in Oldtown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Bruce W. and Martha Hite Twigg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pinkey Charles Galliher, in 1992.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God, Paw Paw.
She is survived by four daughters, Virginia Brown of Hagerstown, Millie Johnson, Helen Golden and Shirley Zeger, all of Clear Spring; two sons, Vernon Galliher of Oldtown and Wilbert Galliher of Paw Paw; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Arley Galliher, and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God. The Rev. Earl Travis Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Davis Memorial cemetery, Cumberland, Md.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the service.

RANSON, W.Va. - Mervin Hensel Jenkins, 66, of Ranson, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997, at his home.
Born March 5, 1931, in Millville, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clifton and Mary Jane Dillow Jenkins.
He was a retired self-employed painter in Jefferson County, W.Va.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 948, Charles Town, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Betty L. Walker Jenkins; one daughter, Diana L. Jenkins of Charles Town; one son, Tony L. Jenkins, at home; one sister, Vesta D'Angleo of Charles Town; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Jenkins.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. William Custer will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
