Virginia E. Underwood
1910 - 2007
Virginia E. Underwood, 97, of Cheyenne, died May 1 in Cheyenne.
Mrs. Underwood was born Feb. 16, 1910, in Omaha, Neb., and had lived in the Cheyenne area all of her life.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Pioneer Club.
Mrs. Underwood is survived by a son and two daughters, Harry Underwood and Adelle Kowalski, both of Cheyenne, and Virginia "Loer" Heling of Riverside, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great - grandchildren and seven great - great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger on Nov. 20, 2005.
They were married March 4, 1933, in Kimball, Neb.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Elen Clark; three grandsons and one great - grandson.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 4 p.m. today at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be 3 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Thomas Cronkleton as the celebrant.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Underwood, Steve Underwood, Bruce Bristow, Dennis Bristow, Leonard Bristow, and Tim Snyder.
Friends may contribute to the American Heart Association, American Kidney Foundation, or the American Diabetes Association.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel.

Odin L. Holgerson
1910 - 2007
Odin L. Holgerson, 97, of Albin died Wednesday at his home.
He was born March 20, 1910, in Norman, Neb., and moved to Albin with his family in 1928.
Odin married Frances Smith on Nov. 18, 1936, in Scottsbluff, Neb., and was a farmer and rancher all of his life.
Mr. Holgerson was an active community member, serving on numerous boards throughout the county and state including the local school board, water board, weed and pest control board, and the Wyoming Crop Improvement Association.
Odin is survived by his wife Frances of Albin; four children, Lucille Scheel of Pine Bluffs, Bill Holgerson and Larry Holgerson, both of Albin, and Doug Holgerson of Greeley, Colo.; 13 grandchildren and 22 great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Sena Holgerson and two brothers, Richard Holgerson and Fred Holgerson.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs with the Rev. John Melmns officiating.
Interment of his urn will follow at the Albin Cemetery.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Donald M. Sorensen
1970 - 2007
Donald M. Sorensen, 37, of Cheyenne died April 29 in Cheyenne.
He was born Feb. 25, 1970, in San Gabriel, Calif.
Mr. Sorensen was employed by Sanford's and Red Lobster.
He grew up in Atwater, Calif., and moved to Cheyenne approximately 10 years ago.
Mr. Sorensen is survived by his mother, Carol Sorensen of Cheyenne; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Eileen Sorensen of San Jacinto, Calif.; maternal grandmother, Ruth Scheer of Atwater; a brother, Daniel Sorensen of Pittsburgh; and numerous aunts, cousins and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Sorensen; and maternal grandfather, Henry Scheer.
Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Schrader Chapel with Father Bill Hill officiating.
Cremation will be at Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory.
Arrangements by Schrader Funeral Home.

Mary M. Scott
1906 - 2007
Mary Margaret Scott, 101, of Wheat Ridge, Colo., died April 28 at Mountain Vista Nursing Home in Wheatridge.
She was born Jan. 21, 1906, in Mowrystown, Ohio.
Mrs. Scott worked for Telephone and Telegraph Company, was a postal clerk and owned her own grocery store with her husband.
She is survived by a son, Kelvin Scott of Las Vegas; a daughter, Kay Jost of Lakewood, Colo.; five grandchildren; and four great - grandchildren.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Merle (Tim) Scott on Nov. 17, 1979; her parents, James and Lucinda Brown; a step - daughter, Joy; four brothers, Ellis Brown, Lewis Brown, Ted Brown and Charles (Pete) Brown; and two sisters, Hattie and Elsie.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. today at the Rugged Cross Chapel in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Burton Kugler officiating.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Friends may contribute to the National Wildlife Federation.

Grace A. Morris
1910 - 2007
Grace A. "Gracie" Morris, 97, departed this life April 28 at Cheyenne Healthcare Center.
She was born March 21, 1910, in Altoona, Ala., the daughter of James F. Whisenant and Armie E. (Tidwell) Whisenant.
Gracie was a mortgage loan officer and retired as assistant vice president of the Utah Mortgage and Loan Company in Albuquerque, N.M., where she lived most of her life.
She moved to Cheyenne in 2001.
Gracie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 60 years.
She was a skilled seamstress. She loved her flower garden, especially her award - winning roses.
She was multi - talented.
She could build a fence and then cook a mouth - watering pork roast and gravy.
Gracie loved all animals and was a mother to everyone she met. Her love and sense of humor will be in our hearts forever.
Gracie is survived by her cat, Suki; her niece, Joyce Esch; her great - niece and nephew, Sheri and Randy Morris, all of Cheyenne; a daughter - in - law, Jan Richardson, of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter - of - heart, Lyn Nelson of Grand Junction, Colo.; generations of nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles M. Morris; her son, Lowell H. Lindle; two brothers; and four sisters.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church in Cheyenne with Pastor John Laughlin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Grace United Methodist Church building fund at 2950 Spruce Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82001.

Joseph D. Selby
1950 - 2007
Joseph D. Selby, 56, of Cheyenne died April 20 in Cheyenne following a long battle with cardiovascular disease.
He was born Aug. 9, 1950, in Monaca, Pa., and had lived here since 1975 with prior residence in Monaca.
Mr. Selby was an active member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Kiwanis.
He was a loving husband and father.
Mr. Selby earned his law degree from the University of Virginia and his masters in business administration from the University of Wyoming.
He was an attorney in private practice, a municipal judge from 1978 to 1982, and a state legislator for House District 41 in 1995 to 1996.
Mr. Selby is survived by his wife, Kathryn "Kate" Selby of Cheyenne; two sons and a daughter - in - law, Edward A. and Cali Selby of Tallahassee, Fla., and William M. Selby of Cheyenne; three daughters, Emily M. Selby, Leah K. Selby and Anna M. Selby, all of Cheyenne; two brothers, Thomas Selby of Wilmington, Del., and Daniel Selby of Irving, Texas; and three sisters, Geraldine Selby and Margaret Stuart, both of Monaca, and Marlene Stock of Stephenville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nellie Selby; and two brothers, Lawrence Selby and Charles Selby.
Mass will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Glen Szczechowski as Celebrant.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Friends may contribute to a charity of choice.
