Robert Otto
Robert G. “Bob” Otto Sr., 70, of Casa, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent’s Doctor’s Hospital in Little Rock.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday at the Shinn Chapel with visitation 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, by Shinn Funeral Service.

James Holman
James Michael Holman, 44, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 4, 1961 at Clarksville. He was a 1979 graduate of Clarksville High School and a graduate of the University of Arkansas and U of A Law School. He was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, and had been a practicing attorney in Clarksville since 1987. He was preceded in death by his father, J. Marvin Holman.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Barnes Holman of Clarksville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Andrea and Bill Pearson and Kim and Dennis Stumbaugh, all of Clarksville; newphews, Wesley, David and Mark Pearson, and Hunter Stumbaugh, all of Clarksville; nieces, Summer Stumbaugh and Aimee Pearson, both of Clarksville.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.

Eva Jo Biggs
Eva Jo Lenna Biggs, 72, of Plainview died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005.
She was born in Bondurant, Iowa on Aug. 27, 1933 to the late Raymond and Cora Catron Peercy. She retired from Wayne Poultry and was preceded in death by husband, James Donald Biggs.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Janie Phaup of Danville, Steve and Anna Phaup of Ola, Donald and Carla Biggs of Moreland, Thomas Biggs of Plainview, David Biggs and Peggy Robinson of Plainview; sisters, Lucille Jones of Kilduff, Iowa and Mary Higedon of St. Louis, Mo.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Church in Dardanelle with Rev. David Jay and Rev. W.A. Gorman officiating. Burial will be at Casa cemetery under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
Pallbearers will be Terry Benefield, J.R. Haney, Lloyd Bowman, Raymond Phaup, James Phaup and Gary Carter.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Verna Dunnaway
Verna L. Dunnaway, 73, of Ellinwood, Kan., formerly of Russellville, died Friday, Aug. 26, at Wichita, Kan.
She was born Oct. 25, 1931, at Jay, Okla., to Riley and Lucy Speers Wiggs. She was preceded in death by a husband, Richard “Bill” Ogden; brothers Riley and Charlie; and sisters, Flora, Dorothy and Charlene.
Survivors include husband, Eugene Dunnaway; sons, Lonnie Ogden of Springfield, Mo., Rick Ogden of Gt. Bend, Kan., and Richard Ogden of Ellinwood; daughter, LaDonna Kim Vu of Galveston, Texas; step-sons, Joe Dunnaway of Gt. Bend, Kan., and Charles Dunnaway of Ellinwood; step-daughters, Brenda Hayes and Christi Lynn White of Ellinwood; brother, J.D. Wiggs of Ottawa, Ill.; sisters, Margaret Harrell of Long View, Texas and Angie Drew of Blackwell, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Monday at Kimple Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lance Ogden officiating. Burial was at Lakin-Comanche District cemetery in Ellinwood under the direction of Kimple Funeral Home of Ellinwood, Kan.

Opal Rachel
Opal Rachel, 92, of Russellville, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at Fort Smith.
She was born March 27, 1913, in Van Buren County, to John Robert and Ella Jane Bruce Skidmore. She loved her family, quilting, gardening, and walking, having walked 500 miles a year for 20 years. She was a member of the Fifth and Greenwich Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester Rachel; and a son, Jerry Rachel.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Louise Rachel of Sebring, Fla., formerly of Atkins; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita Rachel Brown and Dale Brown of Fort Smith; 10 grandchildren, Walter Rachel, Jennifer Mathews, Debbie Roche, Becky Godfrey, John Rachel, Edward Rachel, Shena Oates, Derek Rachel, Tami Myers and Marshall Brown; 18 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Bobbie Moore and Marlene Thomas both of Russellville; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fifth and Greenwich Church of Christ officiated by Dale Brown. Burial will be in the Ball Hill cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Edward Rachel, Derek Rachel, John David Oates, Marshall Brown, Anthony Myers, and Keith Mathews.
Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Kenneth Stewart
Kenneth D. Stewart, 74, of Clarksville died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005 at Countryside Manor in Lamar.
He was a supervisor with Metropolitan Transit in Houston, Texas for 33 years, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey H. and Myrtle Phillips Stewart,
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Ballard Stewart; son, Michael D. Stewart of Kingwood, Texas; sister, Katala “Kay” McGuire of Hensley; grandsons, Michael D. Stewart, Jr., of Houston, Texas and Chase Foster Stewart of Kingwood, Texas; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Cox Chapel in Clarksville. Burial will be at West Mt. Zion cemetery in Hartman with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be Frank Brown, Frances “Rube” Conley, Dean Edwards, Fayne Mooney, Paul Jenkins and Jack Phillips.

Othella Biffle
Othella “Cutter” Willidean Biffle, 77, of Hector, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Russellville.
The daughter of Claude T. and Hazel Churchill Marable, she was born Oct. 18, 1927 in Hector. She was a 1945 graduate of Hector High School and she married Jack Biffle on Sept. 20, 1948, at Russellville. She and her husband worked in poultry and cattle farming for many years and she worked as an election official for the Pope County Elections. Cutter was a member of the Hector Free Will Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxilliary and taught Sunday School for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Jacqueline Dean, a brother, Ronald Gene Marable and three infant siblings, Clelan, Jeral, and Claudia.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kathy Biffle of Russellville; her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Nicky Schembra of Hector; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick Wayne and Sue Ellen Marable, Keller, Texas, Larry Claude and Beth Marable, Bartlesville, Okla.; 5 grandchildren, Christina Webster of Little Rock, Brian Bond and fiancee Susan Turner of Conway, Jeffrey Biffle of Russellville, Shane Schembra of Hector, Nicholas Schembra of Hector; 2 great-grandchildren, Kristopher Schembra of Hector and Shelby Michael Biffle of Jonesboro.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Hector Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Arthur E. “Bo” Coffman and Rev. Gary Newport will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove cemetery at Hector by Humphrey Funeral Service.

Leoma Atkins
Leoma J. Atkins, 87, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was born July 25, 1918, at Clarksville, daughter of the late William Perry and Nancy Self Houston. She was a graduate of Clarksville High School and attended the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, George and Floyd Houston; five sisters, Estelle Stutts, Rela Bean, Beulah Hardgrave, Edith Williams and Eula Houston.
Survivors include son, Keith Atkins of Clarksville; two sisters, Pauline Goble of Chula Vista, Calif., and Mae Storts of San Antonia, Texas; grandson and spouse, Bryan and Jeanette Atkins of Pueblo West, Colo.; and two great-grandchildren, Shanya and Jessica Atkins of Pueblo West, Colo.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. today at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Mr. John Ballard officiating. Burial will be at West Mount Zion cemetery at Hartman under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
Pallbearers are Brent Carter, Dutch Houston, Bryan Atkins, Del Holland, Billy Williams and Jerry England.

Buford Williams
CLARKSVILLE — Buford Wayne Williams, 73, of Yale died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at his home.
Born July 4, 1932, at Davidson, Okla., he was the son of the late E.C. and Jennie O. McPike Williams, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Mulberry Masonic Lodge 272 at Oark and a Baptist. He was retired from the Johnson County Road Department and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife of 51½ years, Betty Williams; two sons, Dale Williams and wife, Karma “Missy” and Kenneth Williams and wife, Elizabeth, of Oark; two brothers, Don Williams and wife, Mary, of Cleburne, Texas, and Burl Williams of Mansfield, Texas; a sister, Mary Schrontz and husband, Les, of Southern Pines, N.C.; mother-in-law, Eunice Smith of Canton, Texas; brothers-in-law, John Smith and wife, Lana, of Canton, Texas and Pat Smith and wife, Linda of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Dana Eubanks of Fort Smith, Jaime Eubanks of Springfield, Mo., Lindsey Williams of Oark, Skye Peters and husband, Jeremy, and Brandi Williams of Siloam Springs, and Whitney Williams of Oark; and great-grandchildren, Zach Young of Fort Smith, and Danae and Arabeth Peters, both of Siloam Springs.
Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. today at Oark Baptist Church with the Rev. George Farquhar officiating. Burial will be in Yale cemetery by Hardwicke Funeral Service.
Pallbearers include David Graves, Wendell Lee, Don Dougan, Jim Jennings, Ron Patterson and Bennie Warren.

Dale Prince
DARDANELLE — Dale Prince, 78, of Plainview died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006.
He was born Nov. 17, 1927, at Casa to Riley and Allie Vaughn Prince. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as a machinist, having worked for Jimmy Lile Machine Shop. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris Robinson Prince; and a brother, Haynes Prince.
Survivors include his wife, Ilee Prince; a son and daughter-in-law, Riley and Kathy Prince of Bigelow; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Dale Ivey of Centerville; a brother, Boyd Prince of Plainview; four grandchildren, Angela Griffin, Tiffany Evans, Shawn Prince and Nikkie Olson; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Plainview Jesus Name Pentecostal Church with Stacey Lisenbey officiating. Burial will be in Needmore cemetery in Casa. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers:
Active — Shawn Prince, Adam Dold, Rob Griffin, Larry Robinson, Bobby Robinson and Roger Taylor.
Honorary — Randy Robinson and Johnny Evans.
Visitation will be 7-8 tonight.

Calvin Finchum
Calvin Finchum, 69, of Cabot, formerly of Russellville, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at his home after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
A son of the late Charles Calvin Finchum, he was born Feb. 11, 1936, in Russellville. He was a Baptist, and worked as a construction foreman for City Corporation. After retirement, he spent time gardening and repairing small engines for his family, friends and neighbors. As much as he enjoyed helping others, he loved spending time with and taking care of his family the most.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Finchum.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jimmie Finchum; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Paul Conway of Cabot, and Deanna and Garland Brown of London; his mother, Julia Evelyn Finchum of Dardanelle; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Catherine Havron of Muskogee, Okla.; Marjorie Moore of Fort Smith, Helen Rudder of Wynne, and Christine and John Nye of Brandon, Miss.; and three grandchildren and a grandson-in-law, Kerri and Robert Seigrist, Beth Conway and Christopher Brown, all of Cabot.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Shinn Funeral Service. Pastor Hank Weaver will conclude the visitation with a time of remembrance and prayer.
Memorials may be made to the local chapters of the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association of Arkansas or the American Cancer Society, c/o Judy Murphy, Pope County Memorial Chairman, 126 Lakeview Circle, Russellville, Ark. 72802.
