Grace M. Postlewate
Grace Marie Postlewate, 88, of Hot Springs died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in a local nursing home.
Born Jan. 20, 1910, at Hawes, she was a registered nurse retired from U.S. Army and V.A. hospitals, member of New Salem United Methodist Church and Oaklawn United Methodist Church, active in Outreach Program and Pricilla Circle and charter member of Aldersgate Camp for Children, Potters Clay and Salvation Army Medical Fellowship. She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Postlewate; and her parents, James H. and Irene Curl Lynch.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hedrick of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W. Christopher Cper officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Oaklawn United Methodist Church or New Salem United Methodist Church.

Elvera L.S. Summerville
MOUNTAIN PINE - Elvera Lou Smith Summerville, 72, of Mountain Pine died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at home.
Born June 25, 1926, at Vaden, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and foster grandparent for Mountain Pine Head Start. She was predeceased by her parents, Will and Lou Carter Smith; two brothers, Efran Smith and Henry Smith; and a sister, Emma Smith Fites.

Survivors include her husband, William Summerville of Mountain Pine; three sons and a daughter-in-law, W.H. Allen and Alfred and Shirley Summerville, all of Hot Springs, and Travis Summerville of Mountain Pine; seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Judy Denton, Peggy and Jerry Poindexter, Zoreta and Leland Fitzpatrick, Janice and John Anderson and Jacqueline and Eric Roberson, all of Hot Springs, Charlotte and Ed Dorhan of Rowlett, Texas, and Annette Summerville of Mountain Pine; two brothers, Columbus Smith of Mountain Pine and Willis Smith of Sparkman; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Theodis Brown and Pastor D. Jones officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Poindexter, Charles Page, Joe Hill, Derek Allen, Al Summerville, Travis Summerville and Bill Allen.

Honorary pallbearers are George Browning, Anthony Smith, Eric Anderson and Ed Dorhan.

Burial will be in Piney Grove cemetery, Delark.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Arrangements are by Brandon's Mortuary, Hot Springs.

Carlton A. Weeks
PENCIL BLUFF - Carlton Allen Weeks, 74, of Pencil Bluff died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998.
Born Nov. 2, 1924, in Columbus, Ohio, to Arthur Blackeman Weeks and Prue Ann Potter, he was predeceased by two sons, Tommy Adams and Steven Weeks.

Survivors include his wife, Cretia Weeks; a daughter, Stacie Lea Weeks; and two sons, Bobby Weeks and Jed Weeks.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pencil Bluff Baptist Church with the Rev. David Birdsong officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Weeks, Jed Weeks, Dewayne Steers, Owen Alford, Bill McKimm and John Mitchell.

Burial will be in Macedonia cemetery with a military service.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Arrangements are by Thornton Funeral Home, Mount Ida.

Rosalind C. Welch
Rosalind Cloud Welch, 92, of Hot Springs died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at home.
Born Oct. 26, 1906, at Canton, Miss., she was an executive secretary retired from the American Red Cross, and member of First Baptist Church and Sunday Schl Teaching in Canton, 20th Century Club and Business and Professional Women's Club where she was elected Woman of the Year.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty and Bill Wallace of Hot Springs Village and Cody Rosamond of Houston; a brother, James Cloud of Laurel, Miss.; two sisters, Lee Mayo of Raymond, Miss., and Charlotte Mertz of Gautier, Miss.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Canton cemetery, Canton, with the Rev. Bill Hurt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Mary E. Ecklund
Mary Elizabeth Ecklund, 80, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, in a local hospital.
Born May 26, 1918, at East St. Louis, Ill., she was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Ecklund of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Gloria Ecklund of California; one daughter, Susan E. Bailey of Hot Springs; one brother, David Boulden; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Craver officiating.

Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Ray O. George of Hot Springs died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999.
Arrangements will be announced by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Huie L. Hasley
ARKADELPHIA - Huie Lee Hasley, 59, of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, in a Little Rock hospital.
Born Oct. 3, 1939, in Clark County to Dillard and Marydale Glover Hasley, he was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran, employee of Shepherd Auto and member of Third Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Stiles Hasley; one son, Mike Hasley of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Tammy Weems of Arkadelphia and Shelley Muse of Glenwd; his mother, Marydale Hasley of Arkadelphia; four brothers, William B. Hasley, Wayne Hasley, Eddie Hasley and Ricky Hasley, all of Arkadelphia; one sister, Diane Burson of Arkadelphia; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two stepchildren, Michael Morse of Hot Springs and Michelle Conroy of Magnolia.

Services will be 10 a.m Friday at Third Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating.

Burial will be in Richwds cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to Third Street Baptist Church.

Vivian P. Ingram
TEXARKANA, Ark. - Vivian P. Ingram, 95, of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at home.
Born Feb. 11, 1903, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, the Rev. Austin L. Ingram of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter, Mary Lou Limbaugh of Texarkana, Ark.; three grandchildren, Reeves Ingram, Melinda Ingram and Marla Gentry; and two great-grandsons.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens cemetery, Hot Springs, with the Revs. Austin L. Ingram, Lloyd W. Cloud and David Walker officiating.

Memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1425, Texarkana, AR 71854; Randy Sams Homeless Shelter, 402 Oak St., Texarkana, TX 75501; or Friendship Center, 620 West 4th St., Texarkana, TX 75501.

Bernice M. Lankey
Bernice Muncrief Lankey of Hot Springs died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1998, in a local hospital.
Born in Bear, she was a member of First Pentecostal Church and Prayer Partners Association and retired waitress. She was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Leona Fikes Muncrief; her husband, Alfred Lankey; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel with Brother B.F. Glidewell officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are R.J. Wallace, Gerald Glidewell, Fred Glidewell, Gerald Fairchild, St. Joseph's Regional Health Center 2 East nursing staff and Drs. Martin Koehn and B.V. Pai.

Burial will be in Lowe cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Jessie W. Lyons
AMITY - Jessie W. Lyons, 84, of Amity died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999.
Born May 1, 1914, at Amity to Luther and Rosetta Markham Lyons, he was a former employee of Bean Lumber Co. He was predeceased by his wife, Fairy Sullivan Lyons; one son, Jessie Milburn Lyons; and three brothers, Alicen Lyons, Truitt Lyons and Major Rudolph Lyons.

Survivors include two daughters, Cleda Franklin of Amity and Evelyn "Jo" McGinnis of Foresthill, Calif.; three sisters, Oma Sheets and Mattie Dorsey, both of Amity, and Clara Madden of Arkadelphia; five grandchildren, Verna Eden, Cynthia Dillivou, Royce Cantrell, Tony McGough and Shantell Henery; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Friendship Church, near Amity, with the Rev. John McAnnally officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lyons, Ronnie Lyons, Jimmy Lyons, David Lyons, Tony McGough and Royce Cantrell.

Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Caldwell, Brian Eden, Randall Caldwell, Hunter McGough, David Dillivou, Justin Cantrell and Taylor Shepard.

Burial will be in Friendship cemetery.
