Chester Young

WYNNE — Chester Young, 65, of Wynne died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital at Jonesboro.

He was born Feb. 27, 1943, the son of Virgil and Leota Sue Benegar Young.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Homer, Oran, Ray and Ivory Young.

Survivors include his brothers, Vernon Young of Arlington, Texas, and Jerry Young of Maumelle; sisters, Elgie Busby, Helen Hess and Linda Young, all of Wynne; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday morning at 10 in Cogbill Cemetery at Wynne.

Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 in Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home, (870) 238-9400.

Joe A. Anderson

WYNNE — Joe A. Anderson, 81, died Friday, Sept. 5, at Wynne.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Anderson; two sons; one stepson; three daughters; two stepdaughters; one sister; nine grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 15 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be held in Fitzgerald Baptist Church at 2 p.m. today. Burial will follow in McElroy Cemetery.

Jeneice Dulaney

JONESBORO — Jeneice Dulaney, 62, of Jonesboro died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro and was a charter member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, where she was the piano player, choir director and member of the Women’s Auxiliary. She also worked as a legal secretary for 30 years, most of which was with Blackman Law Firm.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Croom.

Jeneice is survived by her husband of 40 years, Larry Dulaney of the home; one son, Chad Dulaney and wife Lori of Jonesboro; mother, Mabel Linebaugh of Jonesboro; sister, Ina Gibson of Jonesboro; and grandchild, Colin Dulaney of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ken Winningham officiating and burial following in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home handling the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Winred Saffell, Reg Saffell, Orn Latting, Greg Latting, Corey Seats and Keith Blackman.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5-7 tonight in Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Raymond Humphreys

ASH FLAT — Raymond Humphreys, 67, of Ash Flat died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in Baxter Regional Medical Center at Mountain Home.

Mr. Humphreys was born May 31, 1914, in Houston, Texas, the son of Raymond Lee Humphreys and Marion Eva Ritter Humphreys. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He moved to Arkansas in 1968 from California. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Nora of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Julie Humphreys of Hardy; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Mark Cochran of Waynesboro, Miss.; two brothers and their wives, Earl and Phyllis Humphreys of Georgia, and Steve and Maria Humphreys of California; one sister and her husband, Phyllis and Steven Dunlap of California; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Larry Humphreys.

A visitation will be held today from 2-4 p.m. in Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland.

Theresa M. Kosik

HARDY — Theresa M. Kosik, 42, of Hardy died Aug. 29, 2008, at her residence.

Theresa was born Feb. 28, 1966, at Evreaux, France, the daughter of Robert Kosik and Dora Iascone Kosik. She moved to Arkansas 17 years ago from Miami. She was of the Catholic faith. Theresa enjoyed living and loved life.

She is survived by her father, Robert Kosik of Cherokee Village; brother, Pietro Esposito of California; sisters, Anna Schipioni of Yonkers, N.Y., Dolores Kaup of Stuart, Fla., Rosaria Wood of New Jersey and Joyce Collins of Miami.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Kosik.

There are no services planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.

Raymond Lamp

PIGGOTT — Raymond Lamp, 95, of Piggott passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008.

He was the son of the late Samuel and Lena Myers Lamp.

He was a member of South Thornton Church of Christ in Piggott and veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Alice Lamp of Piggott; and niece, Judy Lamp of Jonesboro.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Michael Cox officiating. Burial will be in Piggott Cemetery under the direction of Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.

Marcelyn Mann

HOPE — Mrs. Marcelyn “Susie” Tounzen Mann, 81, of Hope, formerly of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Hope.

She leaves two sons, Thomas E. Mann Jr. and wife Loretta of Hope, and Phillip Mann and wife Linda of Danville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Thomas Mann III, Deanne Wylie, Laura Mann and John Phillip Mann Jr.; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be today at 3 p.m. in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett, Mo., with Billy Holifield officiating. Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.

John Henry Moore

WYNNE — John Henry Moore, 67, of Wynne died Aug. 29 at his residence.

He was of Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Wynne.

Survivors include his sons, John Micheal Moore and Maurice Moore, both of Wynne; daughters, Gloria Walker, Patricia Willims and Samathia Moore of Wynne, and Cathy Williams of Jonesboro; sister, Willie Mae Brown of Lancaster, Calif.; brother, Henderson Moore of Wynne; and eight grandchildren.

Services are at noon today in St. James Missionary Baptist Church at Wynne with the Rev. Carter Stegall officiating. Woodard Funeral Service of Wynne is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 11 a.m.-noon today in the church.

Herman L. O’Brien

TRUMANN — Herman L. O’Brien, 56, of Trumann died Friday at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Teddy Wayne Pylant

JONESBORO — Lt. Col. Teddy Wayne Pylant (Ret.), 67, of Jonesboro died Friday at his home of natural causes.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Pylant of the home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Idavonne Rosa

MELBOURNE — Idavonne Rosa, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 4, in the White River Medical Center.

Born Aug. 10, 1921, at Fort Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of Dr. W.O. and Minnie Belle White Taylor.

Survivors include her children, Walter Rose of Fayetteville, N.C., and Qudseya Niam of Huntington, N.Y.; four grandsons; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ira Taylor of California and Jack Taylor of Arizona; and sisters, Billy Jo Tatum of Melbourne and Sammy Taylor Denhoff of San Diego.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today in Lone Star Cemetery between Melbourne and Sylamore. Arrangements are by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home.

Dortha Russell

BLYTHEVILLE — Mrs. Dortha June Robeson Russell, 80, of Blytheville died Thursday, Sept. 4, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

She leaves two sons, Lloyd G. Russell Jr. and David Wayne Russell, both of Blytheville; daughters, Sandra Cash of Blytheville and Donna Kaye Heritage of Madison, Miss.; sister, Mary Ann Coleman of Germantown, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville with the Rev. Warren Wilkewitz officiating. Entombment will follow in the Dogwood Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
