Shirley Ann Duncan

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Duncan, 58, will be 11 a.m. Monday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Suisun City.

The Rev. Clayton Lee will preside. Burial will be private.

Born Aug. 15, 1939, in Opelous, La., Mrs. Duncan died April 28, 1998, in NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker. She also had been employed by the Teche Federal Nursing Home in  Louisiana for several years.

She was a member of the Word of Faith Church in New Iberia, La.

From 1990 to 1994, she lived in New Iberia. For 35 years before, she lived in Yakima, Wash.

Mrs. Duncan is survived by her daughters, Barbara of Suisun City, Shirley Nelson of Memphis, Tenn., and Deborah Moore of New Iberia, La.; son, Anthony Nelson of San Francisco; brothers, Samuel Rosette of Venton, La., and Russell Rosette of New Iberia, La.; and sister, Sirrella Rosette of Venton, La.

Arrangements are by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Addie 'June' Elkins

Memorial services for Addie "June" Elkins, 63, of Winlock, Wash., will be 1 p.m. Friday at the New Life Church Ministry Center in Fairfield.

The Rev. John Harris will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Elkins lived in Fairfield for 28 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Nora Earls of Winlock, Wash., and Linda Messenger of Fairfield; sons, Steve of Vacaville and Sam of Springfield, Ore.; mother, Mary Ethel Fleming of Gridley; sister, Edith Wheeler of Stoneyford; and brothers, Blake, Buford, Bruce and Hubert Fleming of Live Oak and Brad Fleming of Orville.

E. Glen Gayler

A memorial service for E. Glen Gayler, 67, of Vacaville will be 4 p.m. Friday at the Valley Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Chris Alderton will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born Nov. 15, 1930, in Winslow, Ark., Mr. Gayler died April 27, 1998, in VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness. He lived in Vacaville for the past 19 years.

He worked as an electrician for 40 years. He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 180, in Vallejo. He received a 40-year pin from this union on April 25, 1998, two days before his death.

He also was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He loved camping and fishing with family and friends. His hobbies included remodeling homes for those he loved. He touched many lives with his humor and love of life.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Vacaville; son, Michael of Vacaville; daughter, Glenda of Vacaville; brothers, Granville of Hayward and Aaron of Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Irene Miali of Southern California, Betty Sue Elliott of Douglas City, Mary Ellen Richardson of Fairfield and Wilma Dean Ude of Vacaville; a granddaughter; a grandson; many special nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Margaret A. McCoy-Parks

Memorial services for Margaret "Monnie" A. McCoy-Parks, 77, of Fairfield will be 3 p.m. Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Vic Matson will preside. Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Born Jan. 3, 1921, in Harned, Ky., Mrs. McCoy-Parks died April 27, 1998, at her Fairfield home after a long illness. She was a homemaker for 56 years.

Mrs. McCoy-Parks was a past volunteer for the American Heart Association and was a member of the Community United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, travel and crossword puzzles.

Mrs. McCoy-Parks is survived by her husband, Homer Parks of Fairfield; daughters, Jane Reed of Westminster,  Colo. and Pamela Kilgore of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Margaret L. Wippert

Graveside services for Margaret L. Wippert, 87, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Friday at San Fernando Mission Hills Cemetery in Mission Hills.

Born July 31, 1910, in Denver,  Colo., Mrs. Wippert died April 28, 1998, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a long illness.

She was a homemaker for 70 years, and had moved to the area 20 years ago.

Mrs. Wippert is survived by her sons, Michael of Vacaville, Bruce of Portland, Ore., Denny of San Jose, and David of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Sandra of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Ernest Dwane Bryan

A memorial service for Ernest Dwane Bryan, 48, of Suisun will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Gretchen Shiltz will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Born Feb. 5, 1950, in San Mateo, Mr. Bryan died April 26, 1998, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness. He lived in Suisun for 11 years.

Mr. Bryan was a dispatcher for a San Francisco Newspaper Agency for 21 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 921. He liked to fish and restore his classic cars.

Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife, Janice of Suisun; sons, Michael of Fairfield and Robert of Suisun; daughter, Jennifer of Suisun; sisters, Bobbie O'Keefe of San Mateo, Priscilla Busse of Calistoga, Jeannie Rivera of Springfield, Ore., and Linda Turner of Puyallup, Wash.; grandson, Casey of Fairfield.

Kathryn Gates Emmington

Memorial services for Kathryn Gates Emmington, 89, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Monday at Vacaville Masonic Temple. A member of the Eastern Star will preside. Burial will be private in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born May 5, 1908, in Vacaville, Mrs. Emmington died April 25, 1998, at Windsor House Convalescent Hospital after a long illness.

She was a homemaker for more than 70 years, and was a lifelong resident of Vacaville. She was a life member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Ben Ali Shrine in Sacramento, and NARFE, Chapter No. 1529.

Mrs. Emmington is survived by her daughter, Claire Jacobi of Vacaville; son, William of Citrus Heights; sisters, Glyde Penaluna, and Georgia Bell Werner, both of Vacaville; grandchildren, David of Folsom, Patricia Brookshire of Citrus Heights, Susan of Herald, and Dana Jacobi of Sacramento.

Contributions may be made to the NorthBay Hospice Program, or the Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Fructoso E. Eulalio

A Catholic Prayer Service for Fructoso E. Eulalio, 86, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield will preside. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Aug. 9, 1911, in Capiz, Philippines, Mr. Eulalio died April 30, 1998, at his home after a long illness. He lived in Fairfield for 18 years, and in Vallejo from 1975 to 1980.

Mr. Eulalio worked as a mechanic for the Capiz City Motor Pool in Capiz, Philippines for more than 30 years. He loved fishing and taking care of small animals.

He is survived by his daughters, Remedios Cordova of Fairfield, Araceli Tabhan of the Philippines, Marie Jung of Clearwater, Fla., and Maria Jasmine, Lorna Sinibalo, and Ann Torre, all of Los Angeles; sister, Euluisa of the Philippines; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, with a vigil at 7 p.m.

Rudolpho 'Sandy' Sisneros

A memorial service for Rudolpho "Sandy" Sisneros, 54, will be 3:30 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

A native of Bernaillo, N.M., Mr. Sisneros died in Palo Alto on April 29, 1998. He was a self-employed contractor.

Mr. Sisneros is survived by his children, Brian and Daniel, both of Vacaville, and Francisco of Colorado; siblings, Ronnie, Raymond, Justin, and Inez Diaz, all of New Mexico; and four grandchildren.

Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 401 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60611.

Arrangements are by Mountain View Chapel of Spangler Mortuaries, 799 Castro Street in Mountain View.

Hugh Coleman Brown

Funeral services for Hugh Coleman Brown, 81, of Valley Springs will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel, with a private inurnment following.

Mr. Brown died May 1, 1998, at his home in Valley Springs.

Born March 28, 1917, in Hastings, Okla., he resided in Valley Springs for the last 22 years.

He worked as a mechanic for the U.S. Air Force and he served in the U.S. 7th Cavalry in World War II in England. Mr. Brown also had two tours of duty in Vietnam.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, for which he served as post commander from 1947 to 1948 and 1950 to 1951 in Lyons, Nev. He was also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and Holy Cross Catholic Church in Linden.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Helen; sons and daughters-in law, Robert and Judy of Kentucky, Michael and Sandy of Vacaville, Charles and Kim of Michigan and Bob Morris of Hawaii; daughters and sons-in law, Mary Osorno of Rancho Cordova and Patricia and Steve of Woodland; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Bernard Anselmo

Catholic Prayer Services for Bernard Anselmo, 91, of Vacaville will be today at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mr. Anselmo died April 30, 1998, after a long illness.

Born Sept. 15, 1906, in San Francisco, he moved to Vacaville 46 years ago. He was the founder and owner of Vacaville Sanitary Service. He worked with Sunset Scavengers in the 1920s and was president of Richmond Sanitation Service for 10 years.

Mr. Anselmo was a 35-year member of the Royal Order of Can Carriers (ROCC) and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Anselmo is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Larner of Dixon; son, Jim of Vacaville; sister, Pietta Menosse of El Cerrito; brother, Ben of San Frncisco; grandsons, Ray Larner of Camp Meekler and Jeff Anselmo of Vacaville; three great-grandchildren, Justin, Nicholas and Emily Anselmo, all of Vacaville.

A rosary was said Monday.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis 95617.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.

Andrew  Jackson Grubaugh

There will be no services for Andrew  Jackson Grubaugh, 77, of Vacaville.

Mr. Grubaugh died May 3, 1998, after a sudden illness.

Born June 6, 1920, in Indiana, he retired after 20 years as an Air Force Pilot.

Mr. Grubaugh is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Vacaville; sons, Steve Grubaugh of Las Vegas and Joseph Grubaugh of Petaluma; sister, Ruth Helvie of Illinois; four grandchildren and five neices and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.

Gertie Hicks

Funeral services for Gertie Hicks, 76, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the McCune Garden Chapel. The Rev. Leo Nelson will officiate.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McCune Garden Chapel. Interment will be in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks died May 2, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born Jan. 17, 1922, in Alicia, Ark., she lived in Vacaville for more than 50 years.

She worked for 28 years for Basic Vegetable. She loved fishing and being a grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, James and Lion of Vacaville, and Gene of Judsonia, Ark.; brothers, Cecil McPike of Anderson and Elmer McPike of Vacaville; sisters, Mary Carson of Vacaville and Ella Mae McCoy of Anderson; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hanna Boys Center, P.O. Box 100, Sonoma 95476-9989.

Tom Suber

Funeral services for Tom Suber, 83, of Fairfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield.

Pastor Jonathan Wilson of Shiloh Baptist Church in Vacaville will officiate. Burial will be at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, 4100 Hilltop Drive, in Richmond.

Mr. Suber died May 1, 1998, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Sept. 12, 1914, in Arkansas, he moved to Fairfield five years ago. He worked for Best Foods, Inc. for 30 years. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church, Inc. in Oakland.

Mr. Suber is survived by his son, David Lee of Vacaville; brother, Robert Suber of St. Louis; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
