William T. MacLaren Sr.
Funeral services for William Thomas MacLaren Sr., 68, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McCune Garden Chapel.
Chaplain Keith Knauf will preside. Burial will follow at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Mr. MacLaren died Jan. 3, 1999, in Sacramento after a sudden illness.
Born July 16, 1930, in Philadelphia, he lived in Vacaville for the past 24 years. After serving in the United States Air Force, he entered the civil service in 1955 until his retirement in 1986. He joined the Air Force Reserves in 1955 and retired from the reserves in 1988. He was the engine shop foreman when he was with the civil service. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Vallejo, Sergeants Association. He enjoyed fishing and watching football.
Mr. MacLaren is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy of Vacaville; son, William T. Jr. of Vacaville; grandsons, William A. of Vacaville and Michael of Hemet; great-grandson, Corey of Vacaville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Stork MacLaren; father, Thomas; sister, Margaret Marine, and brother, David, all of Philadelphia.
Memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
John Wesner
Memorial services for John Wesner, 68, of Fairfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Chaplain Jessie France of NorthBay Hospice and Bereavement Services will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Wesner died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at his home in Fairfield.
Born on May 17, 1930, in Bakersfield, he moved to Fairfield 57 years ago. He served in the United States Navy from 1948-50 and was the owner and operator of a local service station for 10 years. He later owned and ran Wesner Automotive Services for 31 years, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Wesner enjoyed collecting and repairing clocks and watches. He was also an accomplished fisherman.
Mr. Wesner is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine of Fairfield; daughter, Penny of Fairfield; son, Ed of Suisun City; sisters, Shirley Temming of Alameda, Judy Hicks and Joyce Wollam, both of Arkansas; brothers, Bingo of Lovelock, Nev., Frank of Sacramento and Henry of Suisun City; grandchildren, Patty and Paige, both of Fairfield.

Sherman Lee Carriker
Memorial services for Sherman Lee Carriker, 67, of Vacaville will be noon on Friday at 100 Buck Ave., Vacaville.
Families members request those who knew Mr. Carriker to share stories during the memorial, which is planned as a celebration of his life.
Phillip Carriker will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Carriker died Jan. 5, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a heart attack.
Born Oct. 15, 1931, in Sayre, Okla., he lived in Vacaville for 23 years. He worked for Basco Painting & Taping as a house painter for 40 years. He was a member of the Painters Union Local No. 560. He was always the life of the party.
Mr. Carriker is survived by his wife, Jo Ellyn of Vacaville; daughters and son-in-laws, LuAnn and Mark Chambers and Dana Lee and Tom Aiken, all of Vacaville; brothers, M.J. of Sacramento, Dennis of Florida and John of Oregon; grandchildren, Daniel and Ryan Chambers and Aaron Lee Aiken, all of Vacaville.
Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.
Letha E. Dyer
Funeral services for Letha E. Dyer, 91, of Vallejo were held Wednesday at Castlewood Baptist Church in Vallejo.
Pastor Frank Ward officiated.
Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery
in Eldon, Mo.
Mrs. Dyer died on Jan. 4, 1999, in her daughter's home in Vallejo after a short illness.
While living in Missouri, she worked as a seamstress for Glaser Brothers Pants Factory in Eldon for more than 30 years. She was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Eldon.
Mrs. Dyer is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Malcolm Maher of Vallejo and Donna and Jerry Neth of Vacaville; sister, Mae Horton of Eldon; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Vicki Neth, two great-granddaughters and her brothers, Garland and Irvin Brouse.
Visitation was held Wednesday at Twin Chapels Mortuary in Vallejo.
Ernest E. Jones Jr.
Funeral services for Ernest E. Jones Jr. of Fairfield will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home, 180 E. Monte Vista Ave. in Vacaville.
Interment will be private at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
Mr. Jones died Jan. 5, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield following a short illness. He was 79.
Born Feb. 21, 1919, in Wellington, Kan., he had lived in Fairfield for the past 45 years.
Mr. Jones had been a shop supervisor/foreman for 32 years at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Shop 31. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Korea, having served aboard the destroyers USS Hornet and the USS Mustin. He was involved in the reunion committee and celebrations for the survivors of the USS Mustin.
Mr. Jones is survived by sons, James E. and David L., both of Fairfield and Ronald L. of Sonoma; daughters, Donna L. Jones of Bakersfield and Christine R. Jones of Fairfield; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Nellie Jones of Salyer; uncle and aunt, Elbert and Martha Rowe of Missouri; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty M. Jones, in 1995.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Alishea Lynn Karlesky
Memorial services for Alishea Lynn Karlesky, 25, of Vacaville will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Young of Bethel Church will officiate. Disposition will be in Modesto.
Born April 1, 1973, in Fremont, Mrs. Karlesky died Jan. 5, 1999, in Sacramento.
She worked in Sacramento for the state Department of Conservation in human resources, and was also known as the mascot, "Recycle Rex." She grew up in Woodland and graduated from Woodland High School in 1990. She lived in Vacaville for six months after moving from Sacramento.
Mrs. Karlesky is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" of Vacaville; daughters, Elexas Sevilla of Sacramento and Courtlynn of Vacaville; mother and stepfather, Karyn and Cliff White of Modesto; father, Joseph Cannon of Milpitas; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Charlene Karlesky of Inverness, Fla.; grandparents, Carl and Joan Reposar of Modesto; sister, Kimberly Ruiz of Stockton; brother, Brian Cannon of Modesto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria Isaza
Funeral services for Maria Isaza, 77, of Vacaville will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Born June 25, 1921, in Honda, Colombia, Mrs. Isaza died Jan. 4, 1999, in Vacaville.
A Vacaville resident since 1982, she was a homemaker all her life and was very active in volunteer and charity work. She was an active member of the Legion of Mary at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Isaza is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gabriel and Janet of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Carlos Latorre of Newark; daughter, Sylvia Hudak of Tulsa, Okla.; brothers, Alfonso Restrepo of Oregon and Eduardo Restrepo of Colombia; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel.

Theodore P. Weimar Jr.
A private funeral service will be held for Mr. Theodore P. Weimar Jr., 67, of Vacaville.
Born June 28, 1931, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mr. Weimar died Jan. 1, 1999, at VacaValley Hospital.
He worked as a bellman at various hotels. He loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta of Vacaville; son, William of Hayward; daughter, Patricia Anderson of Fairfield, and three grandchildren, Serena, Sage and Joey.
Mary DiGruccio

Mrs. DiGruccio died Jan. 6, 1999, at Sierra Solano Care Center in Fairfield after a long illness.
Born Aug. 11, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Fairfield for 28 years. She was a homemaker for the past 53 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Fairfield.
Mrs. DiGruccio is survived by her daughters, Dolores Dietrich of New York City and Lorraine Sawyer of Fairfield.
Eva Lou Gregory

Mrs. Gregory is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Jane Nichols of Fair Oaks; sisters, Zelma Willis of Fairfield and Gladys McBrien of Orangevale; grandson, Charles W. Nichols Jr. of Fair Oaks; and granddaughter, LeAnn Porter of Sacramento.

John Douglas Anderson
Graveside services for John Douglas Anderson, 83, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Monday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Born April 15, 1915, in Sonoma, Mr. Anderson died Jan. 1, 1999, in Fairfield.
A resident of Solano County and Vacaville for 25 years, Mr. Anderson served in the Air Force as an electrical engineer and retired as a lieutenant colonel. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and enjoyed fishing and photography.
He is survived by his sister, Jessie La Grange of Del Mar, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan E. Cadenasso
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan E. Cadenasso, 72, of Suisun Valley will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Born Oct. 1, 1926, in Torrance, she resided in Suisun Valley for 55 years. She worked as a registered nurse in Fairfield for 10 years, until 1956.
She and her husband owned and operated Cadenasso Winery for 42 years. She was a member of Young Ladies Institute of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Sons of Italy, Vallejo. She also was a member of California Registered Nurses Association, Suisun Valley Farm Bureau, Suisun Valley Farm Center, California Wine Institute, and Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Cadenasso is survived by her daughters, Andrea M. of Suisun Valley, Jean C. Gordon of Honolulu, Gloria Cadenasso-Rice and husband, Mike of Suisun Valley; son and daughter-in-law, John and Sandy of Suisun Valley; sisters, Clarice Anderson of Sacramento, and Jean Phillips and Joyce Johnson, both of San Diego; granddaughters, Jennifer Simmons, Shannon and Jessica, all of Suisun Valley; grandsons, Flash Gordon of Spokane, Wash., and Adam and Phillip Cunningham and Frank, all of Suisun Valley; and a great-granddaughter, Haylie Simmons of Suisun Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. in 1987.

George Edwin Leighs Jr.
Services for George Edwin Leighs Jr., 75, of Vacaville will be private.
Born July 13, 1923, in Long Beach, Mr. Leighs died Jan. 7, 1999, at David Grant Medical Center.
Mr. Leighs served 21 years in the Air Force as a crew chief and retired in 1965 as a technical sergeant. He moved to Vacaville in 1989 from Long Beach. He loved sports cards - football and baseball cards especially - and he loved airplanes.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of Vacaville, whom he married on Feb. 2, 1978; stepsons, Paul Moore of Norwalk and Jack Moore of Long Beach; two grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.

Mary V. Panizza
Graveside services for Mary V. Panizza, 90, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Silveyville Cemetery.
Father Maurice O'Brien of St. Peter's Church will preside.
Ms. Panizza died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, after a brief illness.
Born March 17, 1908, in St. Helena, she was a resident of Dixon. She moved to Dixon from Napa in 1918 with her parents, who started a dairy herd of Brown Swiss cattle. She worked as a partner with her family until 1973, when the dairy was sold.
She continued to maintain a strong interest in the Brown Swiss breed and in farming. She was a member of The California Brown Swiss Cattle Association and the American Brown Swiss Cattle Association of Beloit, Wis. She attended Grant Elementary School, Dixon High School, Class of 1927 and Thompson Business School at Napa.
Ms. Panizza is survived by her sisters, Catherine Panizza and Theresa Bradanini, both of Dixon; brother, Achilles of Dixon; nieces, Shirley Firpo of Vacaville, Rosanna Tierney of Davis; nephew, Kelly of Dixon; and grandnieces and nephews, Tim Firpo, Kelly Panizza II, Morgan Panizza, Patrick and Kylie Tierney.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday with rosary at 7 p.m. at Carpenter Funeral Home.
