He was the husband of Elinor Barbaro Altieri.Father of Angela (Charles)Harvey (Pereira) of West Haven, Marguerite (Rita) Vitale of West Haven, Eleanor (John) McMahon of Stratford and Tina (Jeff) Lewis of Milford. Brother of Rosemarie Bayer of New Haven, John Altieri of East Haven, Joseph Altieri of New Haven and the late Anthony and Louis Altieri Sr. Grandfather of Lisa Pereira Simeone, Louis Pereira Jr., Albert Vitale, Dannielle Lewis, Elizabeth McMahon, Melissa Vitale, Pamela McMahon, Jeff Lewis Jr., Frank Vitale, James and John McMahon. He was predeceased by a nephew Anthony Altieri. Mr. Altieri was born in New Haven October 29, 1928 a son of the late John and Margaret Campano Altieri and was a World War II Army Veteran. He worked at Wyatt Fuel for 36 years and was a retired supervisor. He was a member of the Umberto Club and the American Legion Post 196 in Milford.
Funeral from the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place Tuesday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burail in St. Mary's Church in Milford. Burial in St. Lawrence Mausoleum. Frederick H. Forslund of 8 Forest Hills Road in West Haven died February 14 in the West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was the husband of Mary DiCrosta Forslund. Brother of William (Marie) Forslund of New Haven and Russell (Dolores) Forslund of Green Cove Springs, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Forslund was born in New Haven May 9, 1920 a son of the late Fritz and Pauline Kahlenberg. He was a 1951 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.Mr. Forslund served in World War II with the 3rd Army Corps of Engineers in Europe under General Patton recieving the Bronze Star Medal and several service awards. He was employed by Pratt Whitney as an industrial engineer for 33 years. Mr Forslund was a life member of the Westbrook Elks Lodge 2224, a member of the former Edgewood Club and a parishoner of Holy Infant Church.

She was born in New Haven August 7, 1941, daughter of the late Marshall Q. and Estelle Sisler Adams. She was a retired billing supervisor for Diagnostic Medical Lab. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church and a former member of the Women's Club of St. Elizabeth.
Friends are invited to a graveside service Thursday June 1, at 11:00 AM in All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum, North Haven, and may call Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford.

Mother of Judy Lesko and Victor DeNigris. Sister of Louise Busca and the late Pasqualina pastore, Rosemarie Barbuto, Vivian Gilbert, Frank and Benedict Seneco. Grandmother of Frank Konners, Brian and Anthony Lesko. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. DeNigris was born in New Haven April 1, 1918 a daughter of the late Vincent and Antoinette Migliore Seneco and worked at the New Haven Clock Shop and A.C. Gilbert.

Sister Mary Carol Gentile, Apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, died October 1, 2004 in Connecticut Hospice. She was 58 years old and the daughter of Philomena Carpentino Gentile and the late Francis Gentile Sr. Born in New Haven January 1, 1946 Sr. Mary Carol entered the Congregation of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Hamden in 1963, professed her First Vows in 1966 and her Perpetual Vows in 1971. She taught at Sacred Heart Academy from 1986 to 1990 and in 1990 became principal of St. Rocco School in Johnston, Rhode Island where she served until 2003. During her administration, St. Rocco's was awarded the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award for excellence in education. She then accepted the position of administrator at St. Luke School in Barrington, Rhode Island which she held until the time of her death. Sister Mary Carol also served in schools in New York, Missouri, Illinois and Pennsylvania. She recieved the 1996 New England Region Distinguished Principal Award from the National Catholic Education Association and has been the New England Representative to the Department of Elementary Schools of the NCEA. In 2000 Sister published "The Catholic School in the Civic Community" in Today's Catholic Teacher. Sr. Mary Carol is the sister of Louise Fodero, Francis Jr., Frederick, Robert, Joseph and the late Anthony Gentile and is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mount Sacred Heart, 265 Benham Street, Hamden and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 2 p.m. in Mount Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapel Renovation Fund, Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 265 Benham Street, Hamden, CT 06514. She was a seamstress with several area dress companies and was a member of the ILGWU. She is the mother of Gerald E. (Elizabeth) Golia and Robert H. (Maureen) Golia both of Hamden. Sister of Ida DeFilippo of Hamden, Mariano Mastrocingo of Milford and John Mastrocingo of Derby. Grandmother of Robert H., Eric J., Thomas J., Scot M., David M. and Daniel G. Golia and great grandmother of Becki, Meghan and Lindsay Golia.

He was employed by the U.S Postal Service for 33 years prior to retiring as Director of Finance. Mr. Fracasso is the father of Michael (Anne) Fracasso, R. Paul (Beth) Fracasso and Anthony Fracasso and brother of the late Elizabeth Iovanne, Reverend Anthony M. Fracasso and Eugene Fracasso. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lauren, Mark, Eric, Dana and Christine Fracasso.
His funeral will leave the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place Thursday morning at 8:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joan of Arc Church at 9. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Hamden.
