Nancy Lee Reynolds, 65
Milford - Nancy Lee Reynolds, of Miford, was called home to the Lord Thursday, November 18, 2010.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1944 in Dover, Delaware, the daughter of Raymond and Nancy Morris. nancy is preceded in death by her husband, James Reynolds, and her siblings, Peggy Morris Hobbs, Raymond Henry Morris, Anna Mae Morris Hodges, and Kay Morris Coleman. She is survived by her three children, Liscinda "Cindy" Bowlin Foresteri and her husband John, William Allen Bowlin, and Nancy "Missy" Michelle Jefferson and her husband William; as well as two surviving sisters Linda Morris Levan, and Joan Morris Borel. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erica Roberts, Frank Willey, C.J. Willey, Casey Heathman, Gordy Heathman, Kelsey Jefferson, and Alicia Strack; as well as three great-grandchildren, Oran and Aiden Crossan, and C.J. Wiilley, Jr. ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming on Tuesday Nov. 23, with a viewing from 4:00 to 5:00, and services following immediately thereafter.
Heffner, Jeanette Isabella
Jeanette Isabella Heffner, 80, of Smyrna passed away November 17, 2010 at the Delaware Home & Hospital for the Chronically Ill where she had been a resident since 1980.
She was born on December 31, 1929 in Pennsylvania.
Jeanette is the sister of siblings Mable, Grover, Margaret and Norma Jean all of Pennsylvania.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, November 29 in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.

Staley, Leon Frederick
Leon Frederick Staley of Dover passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 67.
He was born on June 4, 1943 in Brooklyn NY. Leon served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, where he retired as a Command Sergeant Major.
He worked as a superintendent of transit authority in New York City.
Leon loved playing Bid Whist with his buddies at the Modern Maturity Center, traveling, playing internet poker and crossword puzzles. He was a member of the NYC Retirees organization and a member of the Modern Maturity Center.
He is preceded in death by his father James O. Staley and a brother Ronald Staley.
Leon is survived by his wife of 46 years Lauren, two sons Leon F. Staley, Jr. of Dover and Noel L. Staley of Central Islip, NY, mother Miriam Staley of Brooklyn, NY, a brother James Staley and a sister Barbara Staley both of Brooklyn, NY, grandchildren Samatha Davis of Dover, Ian smith of Springfield, VA and Leon F. Staley III of Dover.
A memorial service will be 12 noon Saturday, November 20 at the Crossroad Christian Church, 4867 N. DuPont Hwy., Dover, where friends may gather one hour earlier.

Collier, Emerson W.
Emerson W. "Meany" Collier of Smyrna, formerly of Dover, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010.
He was born August 12, 1924 in Queen Anne's County MD son of the late Edith Jones Collier and Harmon Collier. He grew up on the Eastern shore of MD before serving in the South Pacific during WWII. married for 50 years to Marion, he is survived by a brother, Robert Collier of Queenstown, MD, three sons, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 5:00 pm today, Saturday, November 20 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier.
Zebley, Thomas E.
Thomas E. Zebley of Dover passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Pinnacle Nursing and Rehab, Smyrna. He was 88.
Thomas was born on March 13, 1922 in Wilmington, Delaware, son of the late James and Jessica (Cardenti) Zebley. He was in the Coast Guard during WWII.
He was Vice President of E.F. Higgins Electrical Contracting in Middletown.
Thomas was co-founder of I.B.E.W. Local 313 in New Castle. He was a star football player for Conrad High School during the 1930's, where he played both offense and defense.
He loved animals especially riding horses and enjoyed sailing and reading.
Thomas is preceded in death by a brother James Zebley and a sister Alice Handfield.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years June (Sullivan) Zebley, six children Fil Lewis, Bonnie Lewis, David Lewis, Beau Zebley, Kenny Zebley and Zack Zebley, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Services are private.

Welch, Norman Owen
Norman Owen Welch, 65, of Hartly, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010. He was born on June 19, 1945 in Chestertown, Maryland, the son of Norman and Emma Welch; who preceded him in death. Norman is survived by his three children, Terri Myers, Tammy Fogel, and Christopher Welch, his sisters, Phyllis Willard and Emily Shockley, Brother-in-law Larry Willard, and his beloved grandchildren Joshua Strock, Ashley Strock, Christopher Myers, Blake Cooper, Seth Cooper. He lovingly remembered Little Mary and Little Jimmy, as well. Norman was a carpenter who loved working with wood, but his passions included reading, traveling, and giving special attention to his grandchildren's activities

Reid, Elizabeth Ann
Elizabeth Ann Parker Reid passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 in her home with her family by her side. She was 64.
Born May 24, 1946, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Frances Hosch Grier and James Bruce Parker, and the granddaughter of the late L.C. and Mary P. Hosch.
She grew up in Shelby, North Carolina where she graduated from Cleveland High School. She attended Livingstone College, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in French and Secondary Education, and Delaware State University where she earned a Masters in Education. She began her teaching career in Davidson County, North Carolina. She later taught in Thomasville, North Carolina, in Charleston, South Carolina, at the DOD schools in Italy and England, and in Delaware where she retired after 20 years in the Lake Forest School District.
Elizabeth became a Christian at an early age. She was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Shelby, North Carolina where she enjoyed participating in youth activities. She was also an active member of Light Oak Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. After marrying her military husband, Robert S. Reid in 1968, she and her family attended the military chapel worship services wherever they were stationed. She and her family gained a great deal of satisfaction from being active members of the Christian communities wherever they lived. She was a current member of Dover Christian Church where she served as church clerk, editor of the church's newsletter, an usher, youth leader and teacher, and on the Spiritual Growth Committee. She especially enjoyed Tuesday night Bible study and the women's group (Women of Worth). She cherished her "church family" and would willingly serve in any capacity she was asked and able to serve.
She also loved her grandchildren. With a great deal of pride, she described them as the most beautiful, intelligent, and well-mannered children in the whole world. They strive to live up to those expectations. She tried to be the best Christian, teacher, friend, sister, daughter, and parent possible.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Rev. Howard Grier, her sister, Vera Parker, and her grandparents, L.C. and Mary Hosch, all of Shelby, NC.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Robert Reid; two sons, Roderick Scott Reid and his wife Michelle of Scott AFB, Illinois, and Stephen Brent Reid of Gastonia, NC; five grandchildren: Maleena Reid, Jacquelyn Reid, C.J. Reid, Alexis Reid and Gabriel Reid. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Parker Grier; one sister: Ossie Oates and her husband Max; two brothers and their wives: James and Annie Ruth Parker, Rufus and Ruth Jean Parker, all of Shelby, NC; her in-laws: Francis Reid and his wife Patricia, Hildagene Reid, Wesley Reid and his wife Laurie, all of Greensboro, NC; Denise Reid Griffin of Lexington, NC and Cynthia Reid Wynn and her husband James of Thomasville, NC, and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles, and extended family.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm Thursday, November 18 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming,
Service will be at 10 am Friday at Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Rd., Dover. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Ciliberti, James J.
James J. Ciliberti of Dover passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 88.
James was born on December 12, 1921 in Reading, PA, son of the late Anthony and Catherine Ciliberti.
He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force retiring with the rank of MSgt. James received a certificate of achievement for Airman of the World for flying more than one million miles He enjoyed attending reunions of the 5th Air Force 90th Bomber Group.
After his retirement from the Air Force, he was a successful building contractor and had owned Busy Bee Builders.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. James was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge, #203, Camden VFW and the NRA.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Marie King Ciliberti.
He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Urey Barlow and her husband John of Dover with whom he lived, son Paul Urey and his wife Margaret of CA,son Kenneth Newberg and his wife Linda of Smyrna, five grandchildren Tammy Kresge, Barbara, Stacey, Dorothy and Kasey, six great grandchildren Justin Reitzel, Joshua Kresge, Tabitha, Zachary, Makenzie and Brandon and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Service will be 1 pm Tuesday, November 16 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial with full military honors will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
