Sunna Mensah Davis "Shawn"
Our son, our brother, our father, of Smyrna, DE, age 30, died suddenly on Monday, August 28, 2006.
He was born in Wilmington, DE on June 30, 1976, the son of Sorden M. Davis, Sr. and Cozalene J. Davis. Mr. Davis enjoyed life and loved the Lord he made the most of every moment. He was a graduate of the Christina School District and attended Delaware Technical & Community College. He was an outstanding football player with a state championship award. He was employed by Wal-Mart Corporation Distribution Center in Smyrna for several years. Mr. Davis continued to show growth in his popularity as a avid bodybuilder and was always willing to learn something new. He loved spending time outdoors and working in his parents garden and lawn. He enjoyed teaching his nieces, nephews and his own children family values. He loved listening to music and going to gospel plays. He is already being sorely missed by us all.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Shiva M. Davis, Sr. He is survived by his 2 children, whom the Lord blessed him with, his son, Shawn Foreman and his daughter, Brianna Davis; his fiancée, Salina Woods; 1 brother and 2 sisters, Sorden M. Davis, Jr., Evangelist Sharon M. Davis, and Suzette M. Davis; a brother-in-law, Wayne Alderman; 2 special aunts, Doris Moore and Helen Price; 3 special cousins, Londell Hackett, Wyatt Whittle and Ed (Styles) Moore; he supported 4 nephews and 2 nieces greatly, Sorden M. Davis, III of Atlanta, GA, James T. Davis of Baltimore, MD, Eric Davis and Shiva Davis, III, both of Wilmington, DE, Shr'i M. Davis of Atlanta, GA and Lola R.S. Davis of Wilmington, DE; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006, at 11 am at The House of Wright Mortuary, 208 E. 35th Street, Wilmington, DE. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.

Glenda G. Knotts
Age 75 of Bethel Township, PA, died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, where she was educated and graduated from P.S. Dupont High School in 1949. She moved from Wilmington to Bethel Township and lived there for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Siloam United Methodist Church, where she was an active member for 63 years, participating on the church administrative board, the United Methodist Women, past custodian, and also played piano in Sunday School. She was known for her tireless work at the annual church bazaars with her many handmade items and canned goods. She was also a previous member of Booths Corner Troop #191 Scout Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Sadie Russell Green; and 2 sisters, Vietta Carter and Hazel Davis. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert F. Knotts; 2 sons, David R. (Sandy) Knotts of Allentown, PA and Wayne (MaryJane) Knotts of Concord Twp., PA; 2 daughters, Susan (Karl) King of Bethel Twp., PA and Terry (David) Douthett of Cherry Hill, NJ; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 7, at the PAGANO FUNERAL HOME, 3711 Foulk Rd., Bethel Twp., PA, where her viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 6, from 7-9 pm and also Thursday from 10-11 am. Interment in Siloam Church cemetery, Bethel Twp., PA.

Charles R. Kowalski
Died Aug. 15, 2006, born Sept. 4, 1938 in Wilmington.
Proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and 26 years in law enforcement.
Survived by loving wife Linda; 2 children, Cynthia & Robert; sisters, Theresa & Patricia; & nieces & nephews.
Private service held in NH.
Lottie Mae Tyndall
Of Milton, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home, she was 93.
Mrs. Tyndall was born in Milton, the daughter of the late Willard Henry and Mary (Marvel) Donovan. She was a steam presser for years at a shirt factory. Mrs. Tyndall was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church. She helped with the family owned and operated Tyndall's Flying A Gas Station in Milton, and was a caregiver for the late Julia Pettyjohn, a member of the Midland Grange #27, and was a basketball player for Milton High. Mrs. Tyndall loved cooking family dinners, doing needle work and crafts, and had a special love for her grandchildren.
Mrs. Tyndall was predeceased by both parents; her husband, Lloyd Marsh Tyndall; 2 sons, Lloyd and Willard Tyndall; and a brother, David Donovan. She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Ruth Tyndall of Millsboro and Jeannie Brittingham of Milford; grandchildren, Lloyd "Sonny" Tyndall, III and his wife, Joan, of Georgetown, Gregg A. Tyndall and his wife, Susan, of Milton, Tracy E. Tyndall and his fiancée, Kelly Conaway, of Milton and William "Bill" L. Tyndall and his fiancée, Susan Davis of Milton; and great grandchildren, Shaun Tyndall, Julia Tyndall, Dalton Tyndall, Bethany Rose Tyndall, Taylor Morgan Tyndall, Sommer Paige Tyndall, William Hunter Tyndall and Kristine Davis.
A service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006, at 2 pm at the Chapel of SHORT FUNERAL SERVICES, 416 Federal Street, Milton, where friends may call after 12 noon. The Rev .Larry Pritchett will be officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Georgetown.
Charles J. Slezak
Mr. Charles J. Slezak, age 53, of Wilmington, DE, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2006, of a sudden heart attack.
A lifelong radio and electronics enthusiast, Charlie was the station engineer at Delmarva Broadcasting for 25 years, as well as the president of both the Chesapeake Bay Radio Association and the Delaware Repeater Association. Charlie was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Emily Cech and the late Charles Slezak, and grew up in Oxford, PA. From an early age, he was fascinated by anything mechanical or technical, working at Barr & Smith Motors as a teen. After graduating from West Nottingham Academy in MD, he went to Tennessee Tech, where he began to pursue a career in radio broadcasting. His first professional job was as a radio announcer at WPTN in Cookeville, TN. He also worked at WNRK in Newark, DE, before ending up at WDEL and WSTW in Wilmington, DE, where he DJ-ed under the name Chris Stevens. As N3OUT, Charlie was active on the CB and ham radio airwaves and in area amateur radio associations.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Black; son, Charles; daughter, Anna; mother, Emily Slezak; sister, Eva Slezak; stepson, Jeff Scherer; stepdaughter, Carrie Tucker; and her husband, Adam; stepdaughter, Meghan Quinlan; and stepgrandchildren, Jacob and Lucas Tucker.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at the SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 W. Park Place, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oxford (PA) cemetery.

Doris E. Billings
Of Newark, DE, age 76, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006, at Christiana Hospital.
Mrs. Billings was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. In her leisure time, Doris enjoyed attending to her flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arbra B. Billings, Sr., who passed away in 2002; sons, Arbra B. Billings, Jr. and Richard Wayne Billings; and daughter, Berniece C. Billings. Survivors include her daughters. Nancy L. McMillan of Elkton, MD and Doris Lynne Klein of Abingdon, MD; son, Roger D. Billings of Newark, DE; brother, Raymond Webb; sisters, Edna Blevins and Betty Mae Webb; and many grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 9, 2006, in the Chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North Dupont Pkwy., New Castle, DE, where friends may visit with the family from l-2 pm. Burial will be in the adjoining memorial park.

Mary Marie Blood
Of Greenville, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the home of her granddaughter.
Mrs. Blood judged Miss Delaware contests in the 1950's, and taught modeling at Goldey-Beacom, Friends Schools, and other schools in the Delaware area. She was a professional model, and modeled in Philadelphia and New York. She also spoke at many organizations including the USO.
She is survived be her daughter Phyllis B. Walther; her son, Robert E. Brynes III; her 6 grandchildren, Susan Tjaden, Debbie Mayhart, David Walther, Bobby Brynes, Steven Brynes and Mark Brynes; her 5 great-grandchildren, Teresa Tjaden-Smith, Christopher Tjaden, Jennifer Mayhart, Stephanie Mayhart and Victoria Walther; and her 3 great-great-grandchildren Kaelyn, Geovanna and Colin. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Earl Blood; and her 12 brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, November 7, at Christ Church, Christiana Hundred, 501 E. Buck Rd., Greenville, DE. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE. Friends may call at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, on Tuesday morning from 9-10 am.
