Dorothy T. Wheat (O'Connor)
Age 83 of Wilmington, DE died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 after a short illness.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Stanley J. Wheat; her son, Ronald Wheat of Wilmington; her daughter, Kathy Marengo of West Palm Beach, FL; 3 granddaughters; and 4 great granddaughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew's Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington on Friday, June 6 at 11 am, where friends may call after 10 am. Burial will be in All Saints cemetery.

Edith Golt Butler
Age 91 of Summit, DE passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at her home.
Mrs. Butler was a graduate of Middletown High School and a 1930 graduate of Goldey College. She was a member of the Summit United Methodist Church, where she had served as a past treasurer, past president of United Methodist Women and as a Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. "Jack" Butler, who died in 2001; 5 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 niece. She is survived by 5 nephews; and 9 nieces.
The funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, June 8th at the Summit United Methodist church, 554 Old Summit Bridge Rd., Summit, where family and friends may call from 2-3 pm. Interment will be in Bethel cemetery near Chesapeake City, MD.

Assunta Rich
Age 89 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at her home.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Assunta's Life Celebration from 7-9 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2003 and from 9-10 am on Monday, June 9, 2003 at Beeson Memorial Services of North Wilmington, 412 Philadelphia Pike (764-2900). Marie J. Robinson
Mrs. Marie J. Robinson, age 78 of Newark, DE died on Monday, August 4, 2003, in Fairfax, VA.
Mrs. Robinson was born on July 6, 1925 in Newark, the daughter of the late Melvin J. and Lucy M. (Ferro) Reeside. A talented homemaker, she had also worked at the University of Delaware for the athletic department and for the School of Agriculture Home Extension Service.
She enjoyed gardening, dried flower arranging and birdwatching.
Mrs. Robinson's husband of 56 years, Linwood C. Robinson, died in December 2002.
She was also preceded in death by 2 children, John L.M. Robinson and Lynn M. Lake. She is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Bailey and her husband, William A., of Reston, VA; and a granddaughter, Megan T. Bailey of Arlington, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:45 am on Friday, August 8, 2003 in the chapel in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.

Charlotte V. Stidham
Age 70 of New Castle, DE passed away Monday, August 4, 2003 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Stidham was very family-oriented and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was renowned for crocheting, knitting and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Stidham, Sr., who died in 2000. Survivors include her sons, Robert L. Stidham, Jr. and his companion, Carmella, of Wilmington, Dennis W. Stidham of North East, MD and Jeffrey E. Stidham and his wife, Jeanine, of New Castle. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 8, 2003 at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., New Castle, DE. Visitation will be from 9-10 am on Friday morning. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery in Bear, DE.

Mary Tyler Mayo Turnbull
Age 82 of Cokesbury Village, Hockessin, DE died Sunday, August 3, 2003.
Mary Tyler was born in Bris, VA.
She attended the Blue Ridge School founded by her father, The Rev. George Pickett Mayo.
She later attended St. Margaret's School and Hollins College. In 1939, she married
Graeme Turnbull and moved to Wilmington.
She was a member of the Junior League of Wilmington, a past chairman of the Christmas Shop and loved her work with the altar guild and Greenshow at Christ Church.
Mary Tyler enjoyed her 32 years as an agent for Patterson-Schwartz Real Estate.
She was a pioneer as one of the first women to enter that profession.
Mary Tyler was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, S. Graeme Turnbull, Jr.; and daughter, Ty.
She is survived by her 3 children: daughter, Katherine T. Bainbridge and her husband, The Rt. Rev. Harry B. Bainbridge, of Boise, ID, daughter, Blake Turnbull of Wilmington; and son, John G. Turnbull of Virginia Beach, VA.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Harry Bainbridge and his wife, Tara, Elizabeth Bainbridge, Julia and Tyler O'Connell, and Doug, James and Patricia Turnbull.
She was also very proud of her great granddaughter, May Bainbridge.
A memorial service for Mary Tyler will be held Saturday, August 9 at 11 am at Christ Church Christiana Hundred in Greenville.
Interment will be private.
