MALLOW, Duane C., 77, of Brandon, Florida, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, September 30, 2002. A native of Battle Creek, Mich., he resided in Hillsborough County, Fla. for 53 years. Duane was a US Navy World War II veteran, a manager with TECO for 37 plus years, and a crossing guard with the school system at Kingswood Elementary School for seven years. He served as a ruling elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years. His love for serving kept him busy with Meals on Wheels and as a reader with the children at Kingswood Elementary. He was predeceased by his daughter, Duann Daphne Mallow. He is survived by his wife, Janet Mallow; his sons, D. Douglas and wife, Margie of Lawrenceville, Ga., Timothy J. and wife, Beth of Cocoa, Fla. and Thomas S. and wife, Cheryl Mallow of Crawfordville, Fla.; as well as his daughter, Kathryn J. Schultz and husband Thom of Brandon, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Jason, Stefanie, Stephen, Joshua, Amanda and Sarah Mallow, Thomas, Benjamin and Shawnessey Schultz; also Joyce Salzmann and Linda Millard, his nieces besides many other nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 402 E. Lumsden Rd., Brando n, Fla. on Friday, October 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. with a short graveside service to follow, as well as, a reception at Westminster Presbyterian church after all is said and done. The family will receive family and friends at 10:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to LifePath Hospice at 3010 W. OSCHMANN, Pieter, 68, of Oldsmar, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002. Born in The Hague, Holland, he moved to Rochester, N.Y. in 1956, and came to Tampa in 1971 to work for Mass Brothers. He was president and owner of Pieter Oschmann Associates, Inc., of Tampa (store planner and designer). Mr. Oschmann was a graduate of Royal Academy of Art of The Hague in Holland. He was a member of George Young Memorial United Methodist Church, Palm Harbor, Fla., and a very avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Henny; one son, Daniel and wife, Tally of Calabash, N.C.; one daughter, Monique Hook of Minneapolis, Minn.; his mother, Petronella Oschmann of Rochester, N.Y.; three brothers; Wim, Bram and Koos `Jim`; two sisters, Nelly Uppenkamp and Corrie Oschmann; and three grandchildren, Ben, Pieter and Kaley. Memorial Services will be Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, 1750 Curlew Hills Rd., Palm Harbor

PALSIS, Peter P., age 64, of Plant City, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2002. Mr. Palsis was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. He was an interior designer, Vice President for Mass Brothers/ Federated and an active member/facilitator of Retrouvaille in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife, Carol Palsis of Plant City; three sons, Cary Palsis and his wife, Kristine of Melbourne, Glenn Palsis and his wife, Kim of Valrico and Dane Palsis and his wife, Leslie of Valrico; one daughter, Laura Stolarcek and her husband, Cary of Colorado Springs; brother, Dr. Gary Palsis and his wife, Jan of Melbourne; sister, Marianne Vesprani and her husband, George of Cincinnati; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel. A mass will be held on Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, with Father Tom Morgan officiating. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Lung Association.

He owned and operated Richens & Son Auto Repair, Inc. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Northside Baptist Church, a US Navy veteran of World War II, a member of V.F.W. and an honorary member of Florida Sheriff's Assn. Youth Ranch. He was preceded in death by a son, William P. Richens. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 59 years, Mabel C. Richens; a son, Randy R. Richens of Riverview; two daughters, Diane Richens Fox of McDonough, Ga. and Sharon Lee Richens of Ruskin; two sisters, Mildred Drumm of Dallas, Ga. and Adele Warfle of Vestal, N.Y.; grandchildren, Patricia Fox Dorka and Andy, Wendy Fox Jacobson and Joel, Jim R. Fox, Jennifer L. Richens and Jonathon P. Richens; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Joshua Dorka, Jeremy, Jared and Justin Jacobson. RODRIGUEZ, Salvador `Sam` M., age 82, a native of Tampa, entered into peace Saturday, September 28, 2002. He was preceded in death by his son, Salvador S. Rodriguez. Sam will be deeply missed by his wife, Delfina (Ramos) Rodriguez of Tampa; daughter and husband, Nancy and Marco Stanley of Granville, Tenn.; grandson and wife, Sam and Julie Rodriguez of Tampa; granddaughter and husband, Kim and Bob Roth of Glendale, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Chloe and Alexa Rodriguez of Tampa; sister, Josephine Puerta of Tampa; brother-in-law and wife, George and Daisy Ramos of Tampa; and close family friends, Jane and George Miranda and Sylvia Castillo. Sam was a baseball player and avid golfer and will be deeply missed by his golfing partners, Case Castillo, Sonny Rodrigu ez, Frank Sabella, Bob Babis and Arkie Hernandez. He retired from both Robbins and Lindsley Lumber Company where he held a position in contractor sales. Sam was a decorated United States Army Air Corps Veteran and saw action in Normandy, France. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home with Inurnment on Monday, October 7, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, Fla. STALLINGS, Charles Bayard, 73, passed away on September 27, 2002 in Houston, Texas where he had resided since 1968. He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth Sparkman Stallings and Otto Mitchell Stallings; and by his brother, Otto Mitchell Stallings, Jr. He is survived by daughter, Sarah Stallings; son, Cary J. Stallings; son, Tomas R. Stallings and wife, Kathy, all of the Houston Area; son, Jay Stallings and his wife, Michael of Valencia, California; his former wife, Mary Gadway Yenik of Opelousas, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; his sister, Mary Stallings Singleton and her husband, Paul; his brother, Richard N. Stallings and his wife, Lou; and by his sister-in-law, Linnore O. Stallings. Charles was born in Tampa on December 24, 1928. He served in the US Army in Japan and graduated from the University of Florida where he became a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He was a chess enthusiast and was the Florida Chess Experts' champion in 1963. He was very active in the Houston Community as an instructor in the Houston Chess Club and in many local schools. Charles was known for his generosity and encyclopedic knowledge of the Bible, chess, history, and geography. Funeral services w ill he held in Houston at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church on Thursday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m. To honor Charles, the Stallings family requests that contributions be made to the California Youth Chess League, a non-profit organization directed by Charles' son, Jay, or to a youth chess organization of your choice. ELDER, Doris M., 75, of Dade City, passed suddenly, September 25, 2002 of natural causes. She was Branch Manager at Addressograph Multigraph Corporation in Tampa when she retired in 1973 and moved to Dade City. Survivors include her daughter, Linda and Hanai family, Brownie, Jack, and Janet. Mother we miss you dearly! And thank you for all the years of your sweet love! JOHNSON, Ormond B., 86, of Port Richey, Fla., passed away on September 30, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in New Port Richey. Born in Asbury Park, N.J., he moved to Florida 20 years ago from Elizabeth, N.J. He was a retired supervisor for the Singer Sewing Machine Company; a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; and an avid golfer and fisherman. He is survived by his nephew, Larry Johnson of Ft. KELSEY, James Lee Roy, 75, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at North Bay Medical Center, New Port Richey. He was born in West Bank, New Jersey and moved to New Port Richey from Lubbock, Texas in 1981. He was an over-the-road truck driver; a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II; a member and Elder of the Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs, New Port Richey; and a volunteer fireman for the Verga Fire Co., Thorofare, N.J. Survivors include wife of 28 years, Anna Kelsey; son, William Hill of Houston, Texas ; five brothers, Rev. Dr. George Kelsey of Whiting, N.J., Carl Kelsey of Williamstown, N.J., Rod Kelsey of New Stanton, Pa., Richard Kelsey of Goddard, Kan. and Allen Kelsey of Orange City, Fla.; two sisters, Idalie Bradeen of Vernon, Vt. and Dorothy Blood of W. Swanzey, N.H.; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at 12:00 noon at the Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs.

She was born in Homer City, Pennsylvania and moved to Holiday from New York City, N.Y. in 1972. She was a crown maker for a watch manufacturer and of the Catholic faith. Survivors include her son, Paul Giacometti of Holiday; two grandchildren, Peter Giacometti and Paula Giacometti; and six great-grandchildren. VANDENBERGHE, George G., 84, passed away in Tampa on Wednesday, October 2, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth; four children: daughter, Joanne M. NeSmith of Mango; son, Dr. James G. Vandenberghe of Odessa; son, Edward L. Vandenberghe of Tampa; and son, G. Martin Vandenberghe of New Port Richey; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Julian J. Vandenberghe of Tampa. Born in Kansas City, Mo. to immigrant parents from Belgium, he and his family moved to the Tampa area in 1928. He was the owner of George Vandenberg Construction. He founded Vandenberg Airport which opened in 1954. He was a long time member of the First Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Tampa. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2002, 2:00 p.m., at the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, with interment to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

WAVREK, Frederick, 97, formerly of New Port Richey, born January 14, 1905 and passed away September 28, 2002 at his home in Kathleen, Ga. He was born in Allentown, Pa. and moved to New Port Richey in 1973 where he lived until moving to Georgia in 2001. He was a master cabinet maker and a retired school teacher. He was a member of Community Congregational Church in New Port Richey, the American Red Cross, Coin Club of Pasco, Holiday-New Port Richey Hi 12 Club #418, Pearl of West F&AM Lodge #146 of New Port Richey, and the New Port Richey Stamp Club. He was a volunteer at Community Hospital of New Port Richey for 23 years and a volunteer for over a year in Warner Robin, Ga. He was the first person to receive the Humanitarian/ Volunteer award given by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Gruber of Kathleen, Ga.; and a sister, Irene Morrow of Coral Gabels, Fla. There is one grandchild. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 4 from 12-2:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

WINGET, Eugene `Gene` W. 71, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, Florida. He was born in Hartford City, Indiana and moved to Spring Hill from Orange Springs, Fla. seven months ago. He retired as a laboratory technician from General Electric Neutron Plant, for the US Department of Energy in Clearwater after 20 plus years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict; of the Christian faith; a former member and marksman of the G.E. Rifle Club of Clearwater; and an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Linda Batsel Winget of Orange Springs, Fla.; son, Steven E. Winget of Oldsmar; daughter, Gaynelle M. Abtey of Spring Hill; sister, Lorraine Ortega of California; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, Hudson Avenue Chapel, Hudson.

She was the Keystone of the `Clarkards` Family. She is also survived by brothers, Rev. and Mrs. Ben L. Earnest of Riverview, Fla., Miles Earnest of Tampa, Fla., Chris Earnest of New Port Richey, Fla., and Wayne Earnest of Ft. Ogden, Fla.; sister, Tisha Hudson of Riverview, Fla.; five grandchildren; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Clark, Sr.; and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Glen Mumbauer. She was a former employee of the Humane Society and was an avid animal lover. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel from 1-3 p.m.
