Lloyd Hinkle
Lloyd Edward Hinkle, 75, of rural Wayland, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at New London Nursing and Rehab Center.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mr. Hinkle will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trenton Missionary Church. Burial will be in Green Mound Cemetery , west of Trenton.
Memorials have been established for Trenton Missionary Church and Timber Lakes Camp in Ottawa, Kan.
Rose Mendenhall
Rose Mendenhall of Fort Madison died Thursday morning, Dec. 9, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Arrangements are pending at King–Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison.
Mary Kisling
Mary M. Kisling, 74, of Keosauqua, died at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
Born June 15, 1929, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Fay and Eulalia Carlow Champ. On June 20, 1954, she married Robert J. Kisling in Fairfield.
Mrs. Kisling worked at O'Grady's Cleaners, Woolworth's and the telephone office in Fairfield and for 18 years in the dietary department at Van Buren County Hospital.
She was a graduate of Fairfield High School. She was a member of Fairfield Free Methodist Church, Beer–Barker Unit No. 494 American Legion Auxiliary and the Cut–up Quilt Club in Keosauqua.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gerald Kisling of Birmingham and Fred Kisling of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren; three great–grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathryn and Charlotte Champ, both at Park View Care Center in Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two in infancy, and one sister.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Kisling will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. James McGaffey officiating. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery , northeast of Keosauqua.
Memorials have been established for Van Buren County Public Health Nursing Service and the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Services for Mary Katherine Sirtak, 66, of LaHarpe, Illinois who died on Monday, December 13, 2004 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb, Illinois will be held in Prugh's Chapel on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Dr. Forrest Krummel will officiate. Private family interment will be held at a later date.

Robert Grant
Robert Ulysses Grant, 84, of Burlington, died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born June 2, 1920, in Burlington, he was the son of Frederick Jessie and Daisey Ann Doty Grant. On Nov. 5, 1939, he married Marie Elizabeth Eberle in Burlington.
Mr. Grant worked for Archer Daniels Midland Elevator for 32 years, Midwest Biscuit for five years and was a farmer.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Eagles and was the youngest officer of the Moose to be elected at the age of 20. He loved gardening, especially roses, and raised many varieties of roses. He loved birds, bowling and was a die hard Cubs fan. In his younger years he played guitar.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Jo Ann Markey of Burlington; five grandchildren; four great–grandchildren; and four sisters, Mildred Foster and Virginia Gugeler, both of Burlington, Norma Mordhurst of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Patricia Roberts of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one daughter.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mr. Grant will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Tyrone Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for First Baptist Church.
