THELMA I. LOYNACHAN

HAMPTON - Thelma I. Loynachan, 97, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at Sheffield Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, with the Rev. Gregory Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery with military services provided by Hampton Veterans Memorial Association.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.

ALICE IDA OLSON

NORTHWOOD - Alice Ida Olson, 85, died Friday (Sept. 3, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, 309 N. Ninth St., Northwood, with the Rev. Paul Holmer and the Rev. Allan Stoa officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery , Northwood.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 S., Northwood. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements - (515) 324-1121.

MARIA "SUSIE" L. MUNIZ

MASON CITY -Maria "Susie" L. Muniz, 82, of 407 First St. SW, died Friday (Sept. 3, 1999) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Carl Ries officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. SE, Mason City.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Hospice of North Iowa.

Maria was born Feb. 5, 1917, at Matehuala, San Luis Poutsi, Mexico, the daughter of Filomeno and Amada (Torres) Loera. She attended school at San Juan, Texas, and grew up on a ranch near there. After coming to the Clear Lake area for many years and working at the Kennedy vegetable farms, they settled in Clear Lake for a short time and then moved to Mason City in 1954.

She became a proud citizen of the United States in 1959. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Mexican Benefit Club. She loved dancing and music, visiting with her friends and family, often mixing her hobby of photography with family events. She also was excellent at sewing and cooking.

She was united in marriage to Alberto Muniz Sr. on April 23, 1935, at Edinburg, Texas, and to this union was born nine children.

Those thankful for sharing Maria's life include her six daughters and three sons, Aurora M. and her husband, Elias Lozano, Dionisia "Dee" Barragan, Mary Lopez and her special friend, Louie Infante, all of Mason City, Jane and her husband, Richard Duran, Chino, Calif., Virginia and her husband, Lyle Myers, Northfield, Minn., Amadita "Ann" Shaffer, Mason City, Alberto Muniz Jr. and his wife Rita, Mason City, Vincent and his wife, Dora Muniz Sr., Omaha, Neb., Rueben and his wife, Judy Muniz, Waterloo; 36 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; her parents; one half-sister, Francisca Martinez, and four brothers, Cipriano and Luis Martinez and Basilio and George Loera.

KENSETT - Ida Amanda Dilts, 96, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1999) at Manly Care Center.

MASON CITY - Frank Marino, 54, of rural Mason City, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Major Erickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City.

RAYMOND "PETE" HANSON

MASON CITY - Raymond "Pete" Hanson, 76, of rural Mason City, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manly, with the Rev. Thomas McAndrew officiating. Burial will be in Bohemian Cemetery , Plymouth.

Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St., Manly. A public scriptural/rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Raymond "Pete" Hanson was born on March 3, 1923, in Lime Creek Township, rural Mason City, the son of Hans and Barbara (Fitzl) Hanson. He received his education in the Lime Creek No. 6 school system, rural Mason City. After his schooling he helped his parents on the family farm.

In 1988 he became a resident of the Good Shepherd Health Care Center in Mason City, and he became a resident of the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood in 1992.

He enjoyed farming, John Deer tractors and equipment, music and flying.

Left to cherish his memory is a sister, Ethel Luckason of Northwood; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Louis, Ralph and Harry Hanson; and two sisters, Emma Hanson and Mary Bistline.

K. JANETTE EVERHART

CLEAR LAKE - K. Janette Everhart, 91, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1999) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Congregational Church in Clear Lake with the Rev. Thomas Healey officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

The family of K. Janette Everhart has requested that memorial contributions be made to Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City in her memory.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, is in charge of the arrangements.

K. Janette Everhart was born on July 28, 1908, in Alden, Iowa, the daughter of Anton Charles and Dakota (Williams) Jaeger. She attended the Independence, Iowa, school system to the third grade and then attended the Brandon school system, graduating from Brandon High School in 1925. She also attended and graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, which is now called the University of Northern Iowa, receiving her teacher's certificate in 1928.

After completing her education at Cedar Falls, she began teaching fifth and sixth grade music for one year in Gaza, Iowa. She then returned to Cedar Falls.

She was united in marriage to Frank McQueen Everhart on Aug. 29, 1929, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He preceded her in death in 1975.

After their marriage, she completed her education with a bachelor of arts degree in English and music, graduating in 1930. After completing her schooling, they moved to Fontanelle where her husband Frank taught school and Janette gave birth to Betty Jean, Ina Marie and Loraine. In 1938 they moved to Pleasantville where her husband taught school for two years. They moved to Tipton in 1940, where Robert Charles was born. In 1944 they moved to Eagle Grove where she was active in the Congregational Church, music club, and played the piano at the Rotary Club and nursing home. In 1968 they moved to Clear Lake where Janette was very active in the Congregational Church in Clear Lake, played the piano at Opportunity Village and the Oakwood Care Center where she lived out her last five years.

She enjoyed music, gardening, reading and loved the lake.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, Betty Jardin of Costa Mesa, Calif., Ina Johnson and her husband Lloyd of Williams, Iowa, Loraine Rieken and her husband Marvin of Manson, Wash., and Robert Charles Everhart of Livonia, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth L. Rubin of Bellevue, Wash.; and other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, Frank Everhart, who died in 1975, she was preceded in death by her parents.

BLANCHE WINIFRED DAVIS

CLEAR LAKE - Blanche Winifred Davis, 81, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Fred Lewis of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery , Faribault, Minn.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service time Wednesday at the chapel.

Blanche Winifred Davis was born on Nov. 20, 1917, in Rockford, the daughter of John and Mary (Pecht) Eichmeier. She received her education in the Rockford and Mason City school systems, graduating from Mason City High School in 1935.

She was united in marriage to Frank Hanna. He preceded her in death in World War II in 1945. During her life she was employed by Imperial Seed Company in Clear Lake, working for them for several years. She was united in marriage to Leonard Floyd Davis. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1978. After their marriage they lived in Owatonna, Minn., and together they managed the Towns Edge apartments in Faribault, Minn. In 1985 she moved to Las Vegas, Nev., and in 1988 moved back to Clear Lake.

She enjoyed shopping and having a booth at the Farmers market every year in Clear Lake.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Roger Hanna and his wife Julie of Sun Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Jean Lill and her husband, Doug, of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren, Suzan, Shirley, Sharon, Sandy, Cindy, Holli, Cathy, Cheryl, Corinne and Meghan; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, George Eichmeier and his wife Arlene of Mason City, and Robert Eichmeier of Las Vegas, Nev.; two nieces, Gloria Weiden of Las Vegas, Nev., and Donna Spilman of Iowa City; one nephew, Gary Eichmeier of Mason City; and other relatives and friends.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and four sisters, Helen Kalvig, Alice Spilman, Ida Mae Young and Virginia Eichmeier who died in infancy.

VIVIAN I. BRAMER

GREENE - Funeral services for Vivian I. Bramer, 81, of 108 N. High, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Greene, with Pastor Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene, where there will be a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Vivian Ilene Fisk was born July 4, 1918, in Ellston, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Rosalia Fisk, and died Friday (Sept. 3, 1999) at Liebe Care Center in Greene after a decade-long battle with cancer.

She graduated from the Aredale high School in 1935 as class president and valedictorian and taught at Bennezette No. 5 and other country schools in the Aredale and Dumont area.

On April 4, 1940, she was united in marriage to Elmer "Bud" Bramer at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene. They farmed and lived in the Aredale area for the next 43 years, later moving into Greene.

Vivian was confirmed a member of Peter Lutheran Church on Dec. 12, 1965, and was a member of Welca, Prayer Group, Order of the Eastern Star, Star Club, Ladies Embroidery Club and the Greene Historical Society.

Living family members include her loving husband of 59 years, Elmer "Bud" of Greene; two sons, Martin and his wife Juliene of Greene, Monte of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren, Michael of Philadelphia, Pa., Jeff of Cedar Rapids, Matthew of Dallas, Texas, and Gina Shupe of Indianapolis, Ind.; two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Kyle Bramer; and one brother Lowell of Osh Kosh, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy on Oct. 8, 1993; her parents; and a brother, Denzil Fisk.
