Armand B. Ferrara of Arlington Heights
Memorial services for Armand B. Ferrara, 80, will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, at First United Methodist Church, 1903 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.
Born July 22, 1918, in Chicago, Mr. Ferrara died Friday, Frb. 5, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare.
Retired after many years as a writer/ editor with Chicago Bridge and Iron Company, Mr. Ferrara was also a wellliked school teacher, teaching for 35 years at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights.
He was the husband of 56 years of the late Frances A. (nee Cartwright); father of David (Kitty) Ferrara of Wisconsin, Diane (Lee) Stanley of Rolling Meadows and Donna (Thomas) Hoppe of Iowa; brother of Eugene Ferrara, Vincent Ferrara and Adele Carlberg; grandfather of Gina, Christi, Lynda, Nancy, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jason, Joseph, Jeremy, Jessica, Nathan, Lucas, Jacob and Kate; and great-grandfather of Brett, Garrett and Lauren.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.

Joseph Fuqua of Elgin
Funeral services for Joseph Fuqua, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Libertyville.
Born May 15, 1921, in Chicago, the son of John and Marie Skala Fuqua, he died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Sherman West Court, Elgin. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mille; brother, John Fuqua of North Carolina; and sister, Irene Fuqua of France.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin.

Michael Garrity
Family and friends of Michael Garrity are asked to meet at St. Zachary Church, 567W. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, for a 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass.
Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
He was the dear father of Sean and Erin; son of Mary (nee O'Donnell) and the late John P.; fond brother of John P. `Jack' and Mary Ann Garrity; former husband of Cathie Garrity (nee Mezzano); and uncle of Patrick M. and Kevin J. Garrity.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Cooney Funeral Home, 3552 Southport Ave., Chicago.

Viola A. Gran of Hawthorne Woods
Funeral services for Viola A. Gran, 94, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter United Church of Christ, 5450 W. Diversey, Chicago, IL 60639, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Born April 13, 1904, she died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Governors Park in Barrington. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Schiller Park.
She was the wife of the late Carter Gran; mother of Gordon (Jo Ann) Gran and Carol (the late Jean) Brett; grandmother of David and Richard Gran and Michael and Carter Brett; and great-grandmother of seven.
Memorials may be made to the church (see address listed above).
Arrangements were made by Nelson Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

Suzanne Greenen of Naperville for 39 years
Funeral services for Suzanne Greenen, 59, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Massof Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 26 N. Ellsworth, Naperville.
Born April 9, 1939, in Monroe, Wis., she died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
Suzanne had worked as chief x-ray technician at Edward Hospital from 1959 to 1970. Since 1982 until the present, she had been employed as a claims adjuster with the Hotel Employee and Restaurant Employee International Union in Aurora.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent Greenen of Naperville; sons, Jerry (Debbie) Greenen of Naperville, Michael (Gina) Greenen of Downers Grove and Joseph (Susan) Greenen of Woodridge; mother, Anne Bruss (nee Hoffman) of Glen Ellyn; brothers, Robert (Sue) Bruss of Glen Ellyn and William (Marianne) Bruss of Winfield; sisters, Marianne (Tom) Crane of Santa Paula, Calif. and Nancy Bruss of Glen Ellyn; grandchildren, Erika, Jessica and Nicholas Greenen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Bruss.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may bemade in Mrs. Greenen's name to Sts. Peter and Paul Church Building Fund, 26 N. Ellsworth, Naperville, IL 60540.

June A. Houk, 58, of Elgin, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999. Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.

Elise J. Johnson of Elgin
Elise J. Johnson passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, leaving behind many fond memories of a wonderful life that lasted 82 years.
Her life began in Narbeth, Pa., Jan. 26, 1917. The daughter of Andrew and Helen Greene, her youth was blessed with many summers playing at the New Jersey shoreline and in the Pocano Mountains at summer camp.
With the Depression came a move to Evanston during her high school years and later a job with the newly created A. C. Nielsen and Company. There she met a gentleman and started a relationship that would last 57 years. They married on Valentine's Day 1942. War came and went and afterwards her first home was found in a place she always remembered as `a great place to raise a family, ' Sunset Park. Three children were rearedthere. From Sunset Park Elise's last and final place was her modest dream home in Country Knolls.
From these places roots were planted and events happened that molded her into a strong woman with a strong sense of God, a love of country, and an appreciation of the values of marriage, family and friends.
From these ideals, she leaves behind aloving husband, Gale E. Johnson; daughter, Carolyn (Robert) Helper of Chino, Calif.; son, David (Terri Lynn) Johnson of Elgin; grandchildren, Kerry, David II, Jennifer, Shannon, Justin and Tricia; great-grandchildren, Geneva, William, Bailey and Madelyn; sister, Betty Heilemann of Elgin; and pets, Abby and Bear Pup.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth P. Johnson, in 1973; and brother, Carson Greene.
Private services will be held. Burial will be private in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church of Elgin.

Francis Morgan Jones of Elgin
Funeral services for Francis Morgan Jones, 91, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Michael Morrissey officiating.
Born Jan. 10, 1908, in Deer Lodge, Mont., the son of Morgan and Mary Ann (nee Watts) Jones, he passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Rosewood Care Center. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Francis was agraduate of Montana State University and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was employed in the civil engineering department of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad for 47 years before retiring in 1967. Francis had been a resident of Elgin and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1943.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (nee McCormick), whom he married July 17, 1937; daughters, Mary Alice (Millard) Dunton, Margaret (Gary) Eatinger and Catherine (Michael) Hopkins, all of Elgin; sons, William (Janet) Jones of Elgin and Thomas Morgan Jones of Monte Rio, Calif.; grandchildren, Kristen (Chris) Anderson, Karin (Gentry) Jones, Kathryn Jones, Kevin Jones, Michael (Teresa) Hopkins, Timothy (Kim) Hopkins, Sandra Hopkins and Sarah (Ryna) Fier, all of Elgin, Suzanne (Brian) Mogler of Glen Ellyn, Andrew (Jeanne) Dunton of Seminole, Fla., Elizabeth (Michael) Kallenbach of Crystal Lake, Deborah (William) Blair of Spring Grove, Christine, Eatinger of Florida and Pau. Eatinger of Columbus, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Dunton of Seminole, Fla., Joseph, Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Kallenbach of Crystal Lake, William, Daniel and Rebecca Blair of Spring Grove, and Jack Anderson of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman Jones; and sonin-law, Michael Hopkins.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home, with prayers for the Christian Wake being recited at 6 p.m.

Mae Kazda of Grayslake
A memorial service for Mae Kazda, 96, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Dec. 8, 1902, in Chicago, she passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Manor Care Nursing Facility in Libertyville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Kazda was a resident of Grayslake in the Saddlebrook Farms community.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley LaBarbera of Des Plaines and Lois Bonafede of Saddlebrook Farms; grandchildren, Bonnie LaBarbera, Linda (Kip) Krause, Carla LaBarbera, Dusty (Roberta) LaBarbera and Sandy Revis; and six great-grandchildren. Mae also leaves behind many loving and caring friends at Saddlebrook Farms.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Kazda.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mae Kazda memorial.

Carol S. Kohley of Wheaton for 37 years
Funeral services for Carol S. Kohley (nee Umbdenstock), 57, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Williams Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, and continue to St. Michael Church, Wheaton, for a 10 a.m. Mass.
Born Dec. 11, 1941, she died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at her home. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
Mrs. Kohley was raised on the family farm in Maple Park. She graduated in 1959 from Mount St. Mary's High School in St. Charles. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Michael Church in Wheaton.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Henry; three children, Jeff (Brenda) of Carol Stream, Jennifer (Rick) Dillon of Las Vegas, Nev. and Marianne (Keith) Kleinof Carol Stream; grandchildren, Jeremy, Annalyse and Zachary Kohley; sisters, Cheryl (John) Motavon, Mary Jane (Joe) Welter, Kathy (Dave) Belches, Nancy Welter, Josie (Phil) Sproviari, Rita (Dave) Campbell and Helen Umbdenstock; brothers, Anthony and Ralph Umbdenstock; and stepmother, Angie.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Olga Kuleff of Round Lake
Funeral services for Olga Kuleff, 91, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born March 20, 1907, in Newfolden, Minn., she passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at the Winchester House in Libertyville. Interment will follow the services in North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.
Mrs. Kuleff had lived in Chicago prior to moving to Round Lake in 1947. She was a past member of Waukegan Moose Lodge and past owner and operator of Steve's Men and Boys Wear in Round Lake.
She leaves her daughter, Darlene (Thomas) DeRyke of Silver Lake, Wis.; granddaughter, Anna-Lisa (David) Foster; and grandson, Stephen DeRyke, all of Chicago; sisters, Olive Pecci of Chicago and EvelynJoppru of Deep River Falls, Minn.; and sister-in-law, Thelma Dahl of Deep River Falls.
She was preceded in death byher husband, Steve, in 1966; and several brothers and sisters.
Friends of the family may visit at the funeral chapel on Friday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be given to the Winchester House, 1125 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, IL 60048, in her memory.
