PAXTON - Esther D. Heft, 89, of Paxton died at 1:53 a.m. Monday (Oct. 15, 2001) at the Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. The Rev. Mark Haller will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery, Buckley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley.

Ruth Herbst

WESTVILLE - Ruth Poling Miller Herbst, 82, of Westville died Sunday (Oct. 14, 2001) at Sunbridge Care and Reh-abilitation Center, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Bob Cornell will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Walter Huck

URBANA - Walter J. Huck, 78, of Temple, Texas, formerly of Urbana and Austin, Texas, died Saturday (Oct. 13, 2001) at Camlu Care Center, Temple.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery, San Antonio.

Herman Huffman

MAROA - Funeral services for Herman Huffman, 66, of Maroa will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert Fun-eral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton. The Rev. Bru-ce Jacobs will officiate.

Burial will be in McClimans cemetery, Hallsville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Huffman died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 13, 2001) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

Vernon Lemon

DANVILLE - Vernon A. “Tony” Lemon, 82, of Danville died at 6:38 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 14, 2001) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Spring Hill Mausoleum, Danville. the Rev. David Garver will officiate.

Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Chapel, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.

Michele Liggett

OAKWOOD - Michele Lee Liggett, 32, of Oakwood died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 14, 2001) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Chapel, 3550 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, Danville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Elmer Meeker

MASON CITY - Elmer Lincoln Meeker, 95, of Mason City died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 14, 2001) at home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mason City United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bruce Bolin Ghitalla will officiate.

Burial will be in Green Valley cemetery, Green Vall-ey.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut, Mason City.

Robert Potter

DANVILLE - Robert E. Potter, 78, of Danville died at 9:31 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 14, 2001) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Danville. The Rev. Doug Hennessy will officiate.

Entombment with military rites by American Legion Post 210 will be in Resurrection cemetery, Danville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, - with the rosary at 7 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville.

Letha Sandiford

CHARLESTON - Letha E. Sandiford, 88, of Charleston died at 7 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 14, 2001) at the Hilltop Nursing Home, Charleston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harper-Swickard Funeral Home, Charleston. The Rev. Jess Adams will officiate.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sherley Watts

MANSFIELD - Sherley “Red” Watts, 72, of Mansfield died at 3:05 p.m. Monday (Oct. 15, 2001) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Calvert-Belan-gee-Bruce Funeral Home, Mansfield.

Jeffrey Badger Jr.

CHAMPAIGN - Jeffrey Badger Jr., 22, of Champaign died at 9:30 a.m. Monday (Oct. 29, 2001) as a result of an automobile accident in Hurley, N.Y.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Owens Funeral Home, Champaign.

David Boyle

SAYBROOK - David L. Boyle, 59, of Saybrook died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 30, 2001) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Graveside services with military rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Riverside cemetery, Saybrook. The Rev. Peggy Richards will officiate.

There will be no visitation. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Saybrook, is in charge of arrangements.

Lester Buchanan

BEMENT - Lester Buchanan, 90, of Bement, formerly of Decatur, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 30, 2001) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Goldie Clifton

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Goldie G. Clifton, 90, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Urbana, died Monday afternoon (Oct. 29, 2001) at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, U. The Rev. Chris VonHolten will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn cemetery, Urbana.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Roy Hampel

CHAMPAIGN - Graveside services for Roy Newton Hampel, 89, of Champaign will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. The Rev. Michael Mack will officiate. Masonic services will be by Western Star Lodge No. 240.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy.

Mr. Hampel died at 4:45 a.m. Monday (Oct. 29, 2001) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
