Dorothy M. Staral of Round Lake Beach
Mass of the Resurrection for Dorothy M. Staral (nee Ducat), 74, will be celebrated at 1 p. m. Monday, at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, Grayslake. Interment will follow in AscensionCemetery, Libertyville.
Born March 26, 1924, in Two Rivers, Wis., she passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Winchester House in Libertyville.
Ms. Staral had made her home in Round Lake Beach since 1957. She was an avid bingo player.
She leaves her sons, Raymond (Mary) of Iola, Wis., Dennis (Diana) of Lake Villa and David (Saleeta) Staral of Ingleside; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Wilma (Wesley) Stigen of Galloway, Wis. and brother, Nelson (Viola) Ducak of Iola, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers.
Friends of the family may visit from 10 a. m. until 12:30 p. m., Monday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Memorials may be given to Winchester House in Libertyville in her memory.

Doris C. Staveley of Palatine
Private funeral services will be held for Doris C. Staveley (nee Whaley), 93, formerly of Hollis, N. H., and Littleton, Mass.
Born May 22, 1905, in Richford, Vt., she died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services, Rolling Meadows. Interment of cremains will be in Edson Cemetery, Lowell, Mass., in June.
Mrs. Staveley was a life member of Ida McKinley Chapter 86 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ayer, Mass., and deputy grand officer of the Massachusetts Order of the Eastern Star in Littleton. She was also president of the Ayer Community Hospital Women's Auxiliary, a deaconess of the Congregational churches in Littleton and Hollis, a member of the Kings Daughters in Littleton, and president of the Women's Club of Hollis. She was also a staunch worker for the Republican Party of Massachusetts.
Survivors include her daughters, Gwendolyn S. (Robert) Hamlen of Palatine and Marcille (David) MacLauchlan of Baton Rouge, La.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Whaley of Dracut, Mass.; son, Roy Staveley Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; and husband, Roy Staveley Sr. of Hollis, the former operator of Ayer Plumbing and Heating Supply.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ida McKinley Chapter 86 of the OES, or your favorite charity.
Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, Palatine.

Trygve H. Utne of Hoffman Estates
Services for Trygve H. Utne, 87, formerly of Chicago and Oslo, Norway, will be held at 3 p. m. Sunday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Born July 9, 1911, in Fredrikstad, Norway, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
He was the husband of the late Astrid; father of Fred (Dianne) Utne; and grandfather of Eric, Jeffrey and Kyle.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Robert S. Altom of Hoffman Estates
Prayer services for Robert S. Altom, 62, will be held at 8 p. m. today, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Born June 15, 1936, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999. Private interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
He was a retired electrical inspector for the Chicago Park District.
He was the husband of Mary Lou (nee Giles); father of Todd and Kelley Altom; grandfather of Ali; son-in-law of Lucille and the late Raymond Giles; and brother-in-law of Donna (Michael) Bochenek.
Visitation will be from 5 p. m. until the time of services today, at the funeral home.

Josephine Baratta of Bloomingdale
Funeral services for Josephine Baratta (nee Garofalo) will begin at9 a. m. Monday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, and continue to Villa Scalabrini at 10 a. m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Sr.; devoted mother of Philip (Joan) Jr. and James (Mickey) Baratta; dear sister of Mary (the late Harry) Stoyas, Catherine (the late Philip) Affronti and the late Sam and Angeline; fond grandmother of Joseph Anthony, Christy (Robert) Guarenti, Steven (Cathy), Michael (Elizabeth), James (Sara) and Anthony (Peggy) Baratta; dear great-grandmother of Lauren Baratta and Gianna Guarenti; and dear aunt of James Garofalo and Danny Affronti.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Harold W. Brady of Cary
Services for Harold W. Brady, 85, a 40-year resident of Cary, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, at Windridge Funeral Home, Ltd., 104 High Rd., Cary.
Speaker Ronald Emburg of American Missionary Fellowship will officiate.
Born Dec. 19, 1913, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Good Shepherd Hospital. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
A retired insurance manager for Victor Comptometer Corp. in Chicago, he was a charter member of Cary-Grove Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include his son-in-law, Gerald Parkhurst of Lansing, Mich.; granddaughters, Sheri (Daniel) Kirkwood of Winter Park, Fla., Christine (Robert) Anderson of Albion, Mich., Bethany Jean Parkhurst and Emily Elizabeth Parkhurst of Lansing, Mich.; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel (nee Meissner); son, Richard Brady; and daughter, Ruth Joyce Brady Parkhurst.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Dr. Constance Ann Bryniczka of Park Ridge
A memorial Mass for Dr. Constance Ann Bryniczka, 47, will be held at noon Saturday, at St. Paul of the Cross Church, Park Ridge.
Dr. Bryniczka passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at the University of Illinois Hospital after a long struggle with cancer.
A graduate of Illinois School of Optometry in 1981, she was the daughter of Beatrice and the late William Bryniczka; sister of Dr. Gregory (Sherry), Andrew (Carol) and Daniel (Lori); and aunt of Adam, Nina, Vincent, Trisha, Julie, Amy, Kevin, Nicole and Natalie.
Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until the time of Mass Saturday, at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge.

Richard Burke of Elgin
Funeral services for Richard Burke, 72, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin.
Born June 27, 1926, in Elgin, the son of Steve and Lydia Strauss Berke, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Patricia Frazier of Elgin, Richard (Jan) Burke II of Carpentersville, and Lydia (Jerry) Pennington of Elgin; grandchildren, Jackelyn Frazier, Myria Garrison and Chaney Garrison, all of Elgin; sisters, Dorothy Bonin of Texas and Joy Cleveland of South Elgin; and brother, Steve Berke.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mildred.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Joseph F. Caputo Jr. of Round Lake Beach
Services for Joseph F. Caputo Jr., 55, will be held at 10:30a. m. Monday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Caputo passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A resident of Round Lake Beach for 25 years, he was an employee of Rouquette Corp. for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Caputo; son, Joseph F. Caputo III; daughter, Mandy (Paul) Schneider; grandchildren, Cody and Austin; and many loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.
Friends and family may visit from 4 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Jack R. Carr of North Aurora
Funeral services for Jack R. Carr, 54, will be held at 11:30 a. m. Monday, at The Daleiden Mortuary, Ltd., 220 N. Lake St., Aurora. Fr. Jerome L. Leake will officiate.
Born Oct. 9, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Provena Mercy Center Hospital. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park.
A Marine Corp veteran of Vietnam, he is survived by his wife, Margarita Carr of North Aurora; daughters, Rita (Tim) Padilla of Stewart, Ill. and Lianna Rosa and Belinda Rosa both of Aurora; grandsons, Tim Padilla Jr. and Michael Rosa; mother, Doris M. (nee Enzman) Carr of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; sister, Carol (John) Lynch of Manhattan Beach; and four cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Carr; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p. m. today, at the mortuary.
