DECATUR -- Charles W. Summers, 82, Decatur, died Thursday (March 29, 2001).

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Visitation was Sunday. Burial: Bement Cemetery.

Vaughan

DECATUR -- Dorothy A. Vaughan, 87, Decatur, died Sunday (April 1, 2001). Arrangements incomplete: Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes.

Vogt

DECATUR -- Shirley Eileen Vogt, 70, of Decatur died 10:13 a.m. Saturday (March 31, 2001) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery. J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley was born Oct. 13, 1930, in Decatur, the daughter of James Darrell and Geraldine Lucille Payne Willoughby. She was a graduate of Warrensburg-Latham High School. She had worked for Millikin National Bank, Leath Furniture Co., Public Finance, Milliki
n University and First National Bank of Mount Zion. She married Patrick William Vogt July 15, 1949, in Decatur.

Surviving are her husband; mother, Geraldine L. Geddes of Decatur; daughters, Patricia and husband Allen Parnell of Warrensburg; Amy and husband Mike Blandford of North Highlands, Calif.; grandchildren, Carrie and husband Ty Johnson of Lincoln; Matthew Parnell of Warrensburg; Megan and Jeremy Blandford, both of North Highlands; stepgrandson, Chris Blandford and wife Christy of North Highlands; stepsister, Linda Blickensderfer; great-stepgrandson, Kyle Blandford of North Highlands.

She was preceded in death by her father, infant sister, son, Anthony William Vogt, and stepfather, James Geddes.

Barrow

MATTOON -- Ilene M. Barrow, Mattoon, retired server/cook from Mattoon Community Unit School District, died Saturday (March 31, 2001). Member: First Christian Church, Mattoon. Survivors: sisters, Helen Hampton, Effingham. Preceded by: husband, Ralph G., one brother and two sisters.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Monday, Neoga Memorial Cemetery. No visitation. Arrangements by: Swengel-O Dell Funeral Home, Neoga. Memorials: First Christian Church.

Bingaman

NEOGA -- Winifred Bingaman, 100, Neoga, died Sunday (April 1, 2001). Arrangements incomplete: Swengel-O Dell Funeral Home, Neoga.

CLINTON -- Louise Fenton, 79, Clinton, died Saturday (March 31, 2001).

NEWTON -- Joseph C. Finn, 87, Newton, owner/trainer of race horses, died Friday (March 30, 2001).

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Crain Funeral Home, Newton. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial: Aten Cemetery, Hidalgo.

SHELBYVILLE -- Velma Mildred Hill, 98, Shelbyville, died Sunday (April 1, 2001). Arrangements incomplete: Lockart & Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville.

McCausland

CHARLESTON -- Marilyn J. McCausland, 67, Charleston, died Sunday (April 1, 2001). Arrangements incomplete: Adams Funeral Home, Charleston.

Newberry

CLINTON -- Regina Dorthy Newberry, 86, of Clinton died 12:45 a.m. Sunday (April 1, 2001) in DeWitt County Nursing Home, Clinton.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Ed Bacon officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton. Memorials: DeWitt County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Newberry was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Ironwood, Mich., the daughter of Kostec and Mary Mankowski Danowski. She married Willis Earl Sullivan. He passed away in August 1942. She married Dewey Newberry Feb. 16, 1946, in Clinton. He passed away in June 10,
1972.

Surviving are her children, Mary Sullivan (John) Stapleton of Clinton; Linda Newberry (Nelson) Thorp of Wapella; Bernard (Ella) Sullivan of Clinton; grandchildren; Lori (Jim) Roedl of Mansfield; Doug (Dana) Smith of Clinton; Mark Sullivan of New York; Mike (Debbie) Sullivan of Clinton; Derek (Debbie) Smith of Lincoln; Jennifer (Trent) Klomhaus of Hudson; Jered Thorp of Wapella; brothers, William Danowski of Milwaukee, Wis.; Joe Danowski of Ironwood; four stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, son, Jimmy, one brother and five sisters.

Rhoads

ALTAMONT -- Evelyn L. Rhoads, 77, West Warwick, R.I., formerly of Springfield, died Friday (March 30, 2001). Survivors: husband, Jerry M.; sister, Pauline Howe, Liberty, S.C. Preceded by: parents and one brother.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial: Mount Moriah Cemetery, St. Elmo. Memorials: Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Sarver

ST. ELMO -- Orvilla Fern Sarver, 82, St. Elmo, former employee of Richardson Brothers Greenhouses, died Saturday (March 31, 2001).

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Locust Grove United Methodist Church, Loudon Township. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May-Kessel Funeral Home, St. Elmo, and one hour before services in the church. Burial: Springhill Cemetery, Beecher City. Memorials: The Gideons.
