Emily Doris Rice Wright, 88, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 17, 2003) at the Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester.

Calling is 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the Peabody Chapel, North Manchester, with services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Rev. H. Jordan Truman will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Servia.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Church of Christ, Bippus.

Clellah I. Beck

Clellah Irene Beck, 96, a resident of the Timbercrest Retirement Community, North Manchester, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 16, 2003) at the Timbercrest Health Care Center.

Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel, 1401 Ind.-114W, North Manchester; and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Timbercrest Chapel in North Manchester. Services will be held at the Timbercrest Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday, with Chaplain David Doudt officiating. Burial will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Timbercrest Retirement Community, P.O. Box 501, North Manchester IN 46962.

Ann H. Cano

Ann H. Cano, 79, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 16, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren. She had been a resident there since 1995.

Calling will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. Burial will be at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Warren.

Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Association, 227 E. Washington Blvd., Suite 301, Fort Wayne, IN 46897.

The Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, is in charge of arrangements.

John H. Winkelman

Services for John H. Winkelman were held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 12, at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Kent City, Mich. Rev. Leonard Dahlgren officiated.

John Henry Winkelman, 69, Kent City, Mich., died Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2003) at his home.

Memorials may be made to Mamrelund Food Pantry or Adopt-A-Family, in care of Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home, 88 E. Division St., Sparta, MI 49345.

Doris A. Knuckles

Doris A. Knuckles, 76, Liberty Center, died at 3:54 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 16, 2003) at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Dan Sommer will officiate.

Burial will be at the Thompson Cemetery, Warren.

Ruth R. Rose

Ruth R. Rose, 83, 741 Frederick St., died at 9:03 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 15, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, Markle. Pastor Conrad Reichert will officiate. Burial will be at the North Shore Memory Gardens, St. Joseph, Mich.

Clara M. Chamberlain

Clara M. Chamberlain, 95, formerly of Battle Creek, Mich., died at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 10, 2003) at the Heritage of Huntington, where she was a resident.

Family services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Fieder presiding.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek.

Preferred memorials are to the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, or the St. Phillip Catholic Church, Battle Creek, Mich.

Rev. John E. DeCamp

Rev. John E. DeCamp, 85, Spencerville, Ohio, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday (Dec. 12, 2003) at the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.

Calling was from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, 728 E. Fourth St., Spencerville, Ohio. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastors Tom Shobe and John Dodds officiating. Graveside military rites were conducted at Spencer Cemetery, Spencerville.

Alfred E. Grogg

Alfred E. Grogg, 87, a former resident of rural Bryant, died early Monday morning (Dec. 15, 2003) at Swiss Village in Berne.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, 221 N. Meridian St., Portland.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior to services, at the Bryant Wesleyan Church. Pastor Steve Boardman, Pastor Anita Redinger and Pastor Paul VanCise will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant.

Preferred memorials can be made to Gideons or Swiss Village, in care of Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, 221 N. Meridian St., Portland, IN 47371.

Donna D. Hofmann

Donna Kay Hofmann, 61, formerly of Huntington and Old Town, Fla., and now of Tempe, Ariz., died at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 10, 2003) at Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, Tempe.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, were funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews

Wesley “Dale” Weller, 81, Peru, died at 1:19 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 13, 2003) at Dukes Continuing Care in Peru.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., Peru, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor John Rhodes will officiate.

Burial will be at the Plainview Cemetery, Macy.

Ronald Eugene Elliott, 59, Hartford City, died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 10, 2003) in Bunker Hill.

Calling is 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Lynn Mefford officiating.

Burial will be at the Asbury Cemetery in Wells County.

Francis I. Williamson

Francis I. “Butch” Williamson, 60, Marion, died at 5:33 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 10, 2003) at the Marion General Hospital.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Keen officiating.

Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

Wilda Shiner

Wilda Hughes Price Shiner, 88, formerly of Montpelier, died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren, where she was a resident.

Calling is from 2-7 p.m. Saturday at the Glancy Funeral Homes-Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Rob Baszner officiating.

Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Montpelier.

Preferred memorials are to the First United Methodist Church, 215 Green St., Montpelier, IN 47359.
