Lowell H. Klinefelter, age 59, of Columbia City, IN died on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 12:55 p.m. at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Kosciuscko County, IN on July 9, 1944 to Jacob and Violet (Walters) Klinefelter. He has spent his lifetime in the Tippecanoe and Etna Green, IN areas until moving to Columbia City, IN 1988.

He graduated with the Class of 1962 from Tippecanoe High School. He received 2 associate degrees from ITT College and a Bachelor of Business degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and Germany from 1965-1967 and 1973-1976. He was employed by ITT of Fort Wayne, Adaptive Microware of Fort Wayne, and as a purchaser of electrical parts for sound equipment for Crown, Inc. in Elkhart, IN.

He married Karen I. English on June 25, 1988 in Etna Green UMC, Etna Green, IN. He was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church where he also served on the administrative board, as a Sunday School teacher, sound system technician, the United Methodist Men's group, and the staff parish committee, Warsaw Pistol & Rifle Club, and AARP.

In addition to his wife, Karen, survivors include 2 daughters, Michele A. and Emily Grace Klinefelter of Columbia City; a sister, Alice (Merlin) Wallace of Bremen, IN; a half-brother, Jack (Marilyn) Klinefelter of Warsaw, IN. His parents and 2 brothers, Bob and Rex Burnett, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, with Pastors Denise Davault and Bob Conelley officiating. Burial will be at St. Matthews (Hively) cemetery. Memorials may be given in Mr. Klinefelter's memory to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

George L. "Lee" Campbell, age 63, of Columbia City, died at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at his residence. He was born on February 15, 1940 to Oliver J. and Olive Muriel (McManus) Campbell in Wheeling, WV.

He attended Whitehall High School in Whitehall, OH. A US Army veteran from 1959-1964, he served in Europe for 2 years. He was married to Maureen K. Miller on May 15, 1965 at the Wallen United Methodist Church. Residing in Columbus, OH through his high school years, he spent most of his adult lifetime in Fort Wayne, IN and then he moved to Columbia City in 1998. He was employed by Custom Tube Company for 35 years as a plant superintendent in Waynedale, IN. He was an umpire for Little League Baseball for 10 years for Three River's Umpire Association and a loyal Homestead High School Pit Crew member for the band. He was an avid NASCAR and Notre Dame fan.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen K. of Columbia City; a daughter, Katherine R. (Jonathan) Parker, Columbia City, IN; a son, Neil C. (Mary Beth) Campbell of Fort Wayne, IN; a sister, Phyllis J. Parisot of Auburn, IN; 2 brothers, Dennis J. Campbell of Fort Wayne and Gregory R. Campbell of Albion, IN; and 4 grandchildren, Megan, Danielle, Klayton and Kamrin. His parents preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Clough, Associate Pastor of The Chapel, officiating. Brian T. "Wes" Wesson, age 62, of Kimmell, died at 5:21 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. He was born in Pittsfield, NH on February 25, 1941 to John Thomas and Violet Elizabeth (Tilton) Wesson.

Graduating from Pittsfield High School, Pittsfield, NH, he served in the US Marine Corps. He married Jacqueline Jean Dooley on December 30, 1968 in Rockton, IL. In 1996, he moved from Bear Lake to Kimmell. He was employed by General Motors, Janesville, WI and Fort Wayne, IN plants for 37 years. His memberships included Community Bible Church, Columbia City and UAW, Fort Wayne.

Survivors include 5 sons, Dave (Sue) Wesson and Shawn Wesson both of Janesville, WI, Thomas (Cathy) Wesson of Kimmell, Dennis (Amy) Wesson of Albion, and Weldon (Julie) Wesson of Corpus Christi, TX; 1 daughter, Linda (Dean) Gerber of Neillsville, WI; 3 brothers, Robert Wesson of Pittsfield, NH, Michael Wesson of Manchester, NH, and John Wesson of Foxford, MA; 1 sister, Claire (Arnold) Ries of Punta Gorda, FL; and 13 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his wife, Jacqueline who died on September 8, 2000 and a brother, Craig Wesson.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Betty Jean Hall, age 75, formerly of Columbia City, IN and most recently she has lived with her daughter at 1811 Woodhaven Drive, Fort Wayne, IN, died at 9:22 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 17, 1928 to Chester and Loretta (Algar) Myers.

She is a graduate of the former Albion High School, Albion, IN. Raised in Noble County, she moved to Fort Wayne in 1950. She married Charles "Charlie" R. Hall on October 24, 1970 in Fort Wayne, IN. She moved to Island Court, Tri-Lakes in 1976 and then to Columbia City in 1990. For 10 years, she was employed as a baker and supervisor for the Summers Bakery in Fort Wayne.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxillary Post #248, Fort Wayne, IN. She also was an avid bingo player and jigsaw puzzle enthusiast.

Survivors include her former husband, Tony Gordon of Fort Wayne, IN; 4 sons, Ted (Sherrell) Gordon of Tulsa, OK, Fred (Christina) Gordon of Roanoke, IN, Wayne Gordon of Whitewater, WI and Kenny (Sherry) Gordon of Fort Wayne; 2 daughters, Judy (Matthew) Barnes of Fort Wayne and Vickie (Don) Ashcraft of Celina, OH; 2 step-daughters, Grace (Mike) Kelly and Donna Diss both of Fort Wayne; a sister, Colleen Statler of Wolf Lake, IN; 4 brothers, Robert (Judy) Myers and Bill Myers both of Fort Wayne, Jim (Rose) Myers of Waco, TX, Don (Sandy) Myers of Avilla, IN. 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles "Charlie" R. Keith E. "Pickle" Schinbeckler, age 75, of Columbia City, IN, died at 9:25 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at his son's residence in Carmel, IN. He was born on August 22, 1927 in Columbia City, IN to Homer Albert and Vera Marie (Leonard) Schinbeckler.

A lifelong resident of Tri-Lakes, he was a WWII veteran as a Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force from 1944-1947. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1952, the Classes of 1956 and 1961with his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Indiana University.

He married his wife, JoAnne Witte at the Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN in June 1951.

A retired teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools at James H. Smart School, Weiser Park Middle School and Northrop High School, he was also a member of Peabody Public Library Board of Directors, Indiana State Teachers Association and Jaguar Owners Club of North America.

Survivors include 2 sons, H. David (Luanne) Schinbeckler of Mindemoya, Ontario, Canada and Thomas E. (Amy) Schinbeckler of Carmel, IN; a brother, Don (Marlowe) Schinbeckler of South Bend, IN; 2 sisters, Carole Schinbeckler of Columbia City, IN and Barbara (Herbert) Schnabel of Midlothian, VA; and 6 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, JoAnne and a sister, Maxine Schinbeckler.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. According to Mr. Schinbeckler's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Private burial will be on Monday, July 14, 2003 at Lindenwood cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be given in Mr. Schinbeckler's memory to the Peabody Public Library. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

VIRGINIA L. LUSK-BAUMGARTNER

Virginia L. Lusk-Baumgartner, age 95, formerly of Columbia City and currently of Fort Wayne, passed away at 7:47 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Covington Commons, Fort Wayne, IN. Born June 1, 1916 in Fort Wayne, IN she was the daughter of Sylvester and Elsie (Ferguson) Coleman.

She spent her childhood in Fort Wayne and graduated from Elmhurst High School with the Class of 1934. In 1947, she moved to Whitley County, moving to Tri-Lakes in 1965. In 2001, she moved to her present address at Covington Commons in Fort Wayne. In June, 1934, her first marriage was to Thurman T. Lusk. They were married for 47 years before he passed away in October, 1981. In May, 1985 her second marriage was to Dale Baumgartner and he passed away in March, 1999.

After 35 years of service, she retired in 1978 as a documentary secretary for the former Magnavox Company, Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #1906 since 1977; Woman of the Moose Post #1063 Auxiliary since 1970; and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #98 all of Columbia City. A life member of the Fort Wayne Musician's Union #58, as a Professional Organist, she also was a member of the Magnavox Quarter Century Club.

Survivors include her nieces, Kathy Klinger and Terri Hughes both of Fort Wayne; several other nieces and nephews; great-nephews and nieces and 1 brother in law, Jack Hughes, Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Thurman T. Lusk, second husband, Dale Baumgartner, sisters, Eloise Hughes and Faith Newburn, brothers, Laurence and James A. Coleman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 1-2 p.m. with funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Lusk-Baumgartner's memory to the Alzheimer's Association. HOWARD S. STRADER

Howard S. Strader, age 82, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 5:58 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born October 13, 1929 in Akron, OH, he was the son of William and Mildred (McPhillen) Strader.

He was a resident of Allen County until moving to Whitley County in 1951. He attended St. Joe Township Schools, Allen County. He served in the United States Air Force. On May 5, 1951, he married Carole R. Mansdorfer at Aboite Christian Church. For 28 years, he worked for American Hoist in Fort Wayne. He also worked for the Whitley County Sheriff's Department for 8 years retiring in 1994. He formerly attended Dunfee Missionary Church, Dunfee, and was a former member of the American Legion in Fort Wayne.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carole R. Strader of Fort Wayne; 3 daughters, Connie S. (Ernie) Coy of Leesburg, Rita M. (Rollie) Strahm, Angola and Joyce S. (Greg) Pierce of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stanley H. Strader; brothers, Dwight L., William D. and Edward L. Strader, his twin brother; infant sister and 1 granddaughter, Amanda Pierce.

Visitation is 2-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 and 10-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow with Military Graveside Honors at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. ISABEL I. KITSON-BISHOP

Isabel I. Kitson-Bishop, age 90, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 10:28 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at her home. Born October 7, 1921, in St. Joseph County, IN, she was the daughter of Marvin and Pearl (Enders) Odiorne.

She spent her childhood in St. Joseph County. On March 10, 1942 she married Monroe Kitson, in Goshen. She and her husband raised their family on a farm near Tri-Lakes where they resided for many years before moving to Columbia City. She and Monroe were married for 51 years before he passed away in November, 1993. She married J. Robert Bishop May 25, 1996 at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, Columbia City. She and Mr. Bishop lived at Stanton Lake, Leesburg, IN from 1996-2000 until he passed away. After the death of Mr. Bishop, she returned to Columbia City where she was the first resident of Deer Chase Addition. A homemaker, she also worked for Blue Bell and Roma's Smart Shop in Columbia City. Her memberships included St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer for many years, Whitley County Homemakers and Farm Bureau Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed oil painting and journaling.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny Kay Snyder of Columbia City; son, Ray (Michele) Kitson of Columbia City; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude (Donald) Schaal of Mishawaka; step-children and their families, Robert Bishop, Larry Bishop and Cindy Miller all of Leesburg and Judy McIntire of Mishawaka. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty J. Pontzius; granddaughters, Lori Ann Pontzius and Cary Rae Kitson; grandson, Jay Edward Pontzius; great-grandson, Luke Gabriel Pontzius; son-in-law, Duane Snyder; sister, JoAnn Walter; brothers, Ed, Eugene and Albert Odiorne.

Visitation is Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 3-7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service is Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Matthew's cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be given in memory of Isabel to the American Cancer Society.

DANIEL ROSAS TORRES

Daniel Rosas Torres, age 85, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 11:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born on March 20, 1926 in Hondo, TX, he was the son of Frutoso and Maria Rita (Rosas) Torres.

He was raised in Texas and in 1948 moved to Columbia City. His first marriage was to Celia "Sally" Martinez in 1948 in Eagle Pass, TX and his second marriage was to Anna Marie Karolina Pohl on June 7, 1984 in North Carolina.

He worked at JI Case Implements, Churubusco in the late 1950's and early 1960's and from 1962-1982 he worked at Weatherhead Company, Columbia City in production and machining. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Eagles Lodge #1906 and the UAW Local all of Columbia City.

Survivors include 1 son, Oscar R.(Bonnie) Torres of Columbia City; 3 daughters, Irene (Daniel) Strong, Urbana, OH, Gloria (Keith) Kesling and Elvia (Walt) Barnes both of Columbia City; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Samuel R. Torres of Columbia City; and sister, Nativedad Riojas of Yakama, WA. He is preceded in death by his parents, both wives and 6 brothers and sisters including, Jose, Jesusita, Frutoso, Candelario, Maria, and Baudelia Torres.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-7:30 p.m. with a Rosary Recitation following at 7:30 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Arcola with 1 hour of visitation prior to the mass with Father Alex Dodrai officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic cemetery, Columbia City. Memorial gifts may be given in memory of Mr. Torres to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

LOGAN E. TEMPLETON

Logan E. "Bubba" Templeton, age 21, of Columbia City, Ind., died on Saturday, November 27, 2010 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on June 23, 1989 to Carson E. and Tamera M. (Schinbeckler) Templeton.

A 2008 graduate of Churubusco High School, he was currently employed at C & A Tool as a machine mechanic since 2007. Logan was also enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College in the welding program. He was a lifetime resident of Whitley County and was active in FFA and 4H for nine years.

He is survived by his parents, Carson and Tamera Templeton of Columbia City, Ind.; brother, Riley C. Templeton of Columbia City; grandmother, Patricia Liggett and grandparents, Harold and Judy Schinbeckler all of Churubusco, Ind. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Everett Liggett, Sr. and Donald Templeton.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, Ind. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Sharon Brockhaus, GSP, CFC officiating. Memorials in memory of Logan can be made to Riley Children's Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

SUZANNE J. SHOCK

Suzanne Jeanne Shock, age 65, of North Webster, IN passed away at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Born on October 2, 1945 in Muncie, she was the daughter of Dallas Floyd and Marguerite J. "Peggy" (Sweeney) Buis.

She spent most of her lifetime in North Webster and graduated from North Webster High School with the Class of 1963. On June 3, 1963 she married Curtis E. Shock at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Pierceton. Her first job was manager of Palace of Sweets; then due to her love for books and reading she became librarian at North Webster Jr. High School; then she served as office manager of Blue Flame and lastly she was the owner and operator of the Book Fool Bookstore in North Webster. She was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's Rebekah Circle and was very instrutmental in establishing the North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Library where she served and volunteered on the Library Board of Directors for many years. She was an avid reader and loved to garden, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Curtis E. Shock of North Webster; son, Michael P. (Kelly) Shock of North Webster; 4 grandchildren, Adam (Christine) Shock, Danielle Walters, Alexander Shock and Anna Shock; sisters, Alice E. "Betsy" (Ralph) Luce and Jane A. (Dexter) Shepherd both of North Webster and D. Kimberly (Philip) Smith of Leesburg; 2 nieces, 5 nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kellyn "Kelly" Maureen Buis and one nephew, Patrick A. Wiseman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at North Webster United Methodist Church, 7722 E Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the church with Pastor Wes Brookshire officiating. Burial will follow at North Webster cemetery, SR 13 N, North Webster. Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Shock's memory to North Webster United Methodist Church's Matthew 25 Fund or Tippecanoe Township/North Webster EMS.
