Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley, with Father Gary Schexnayder officiating, for Claby Joseph Seaux, 79, of Rayne, who died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005, in the Crowley Guest Home.
Burial was in the Hanks Cemetery in Morse.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel Thursday.
Visitation was observed Thursday from 6 to 10 a.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to time of services.
He is survived by his wife, Nola Seaux, Rayne; two sons, Joseph Roy Seaux, Rogers, Ohio, and Raymond James Seaux, Lafayette; three daughters, Mary Sherline Seaux and Sally Ancelet, both of Roberts Cove, and Jane Sarver, Crowley; two brothers, Leo Seaux and Gene Seaux, both of Crowley; one sister, Bertha Seaux, Crowley; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; one step-daughter, Melba Benoit, Lafayette, three step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Seaux was preceded in death by his first wife, Rena LaFousse; his parents, Henry and Louise Cormier; four brothers, Clopha, Abbey, Jenry and Limon Seaux; and three sisters, Evalla Cormier, Beulah Schexnayder and Ella Prejean.
Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Donat Sonnier
Funeral services were held Friday, May 27, 2005 ,at 9:00 a.m. in the Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Donat Sonnier, 70, who died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Sonnier of Rayne; two daughters, Janet Sonnier of Calif., and Donna Locke of Calif.; one son, Michael Sonnier of Calif.; four grandchildren, Skylar Sonnier, Brandon Castro, Robert Sonnier, and Arielle Locke, all of Calif.; one sister, Helen Alleman of Duson; and one brother ,Percy Sonnier of Crowley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Bertile Mire Sonnier.
Mr. Sonnier was retired from the U.S .Air Force after 20 years and Santa Fe Rail Road after 25 years.
Burial was in the Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary La. under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.

Deborah A. Boudreaux
Deborah A. Boudreaux, 53, died on May 29, 2005.
A native of Rayne, she is best remembered for her deep love of music, painting, poetry, and writing and as an ER and OB nursing assistant at the old Rayne-Branch Hospital.
Deborah is survived by one son, David Byron Boudreaux; her daughter, Brondwyn Sales, and three grandchildren, Byron Todd Boudreaux, Matthew Sales and Danielle Thibodeaux; one brother, Douglas Paul Boudreaux and many deeply loved and cherished family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hypolite (Papop) Fontenot, Clevenia (Granny) Benoit Fontenot, Sam P. Boudreaux and Eva U.B.Boudreaux; her parents, Wisner (T-Man) Boudreaux and Emella (Mella) Fontenot Boudreaux; two older brothers, Wisner (T-Boy) Boudreaux and Ted Boudreaux; two older sisters, Betty Lou Navarre and Dean Wilson, and her only godchild, Alicia (Lisa) Wilson.
Viewing began on May 20, 2005, from 5 p.m. until time of services.
A Divine Mercy chaplet was recited at 7 p.m. on May 29 in the funeral home chapel.
A Funeral Mass were held a 2 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2005, at St. Therea of the Child Jesus Church in Duson, with the Rev. Martin Leonards officiating.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2 in Rayne.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Ervin (Dick) Richard
RICHARD –– Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in St.Edwards Church with Father Dan Edwards officiating, for Ervin (Dick) Richard, 72, of Richard, who died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at 7:20 p.m. in the Oak Lane Nursing Home in Eunice.
Burial was in the St. Edwards Cemetery in Richard.
Visitation was observed Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
He is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Myrtis and David Darbonne, of Eunice, Francis and Linus Dies, Church Point; Margaret and Felton dies, Eunice; and Dianna and Ronald Cormier, of Richard; two sisters, Virgie LeJeune of Eunice, and Lillie Mae LeJeune of Welsh; one brother, Delton Richard of Church Point; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Dick, as everyone knew him, was a farmer in the Richard Community all of his life.
He was a well-known Cajun musician and played the fiddle. He built the infamous Pointe Noir Accordion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jermaine Jagneaux; his parents, Lucille Doucet and Angelas Richard; three brothers, Felix, Rodney and Rufus Richard; and one sister,Lillian Matt.

Dorothy L. Duhon
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2005, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Dorothy L. Duhon, 67, who died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Bryan Duhon of Duson, and David Duhon of Cankton; two daughters, Maxine Schexnider and Francine Clark both of Duson; four brothers, Martin, Alex, Leo, and Rufus LaCroix, all of Rayne; one sister, Rose Fontenot of Rayne; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxson Duhon: one daughter, Arlene Duhon; her parents, Alex and Claudia Cormier LaCroix; three sisters, Mary LaCroix, Claudette Richard and Irene LaCroix; and two brothers, Cleo and Frances LaCroix.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 1, 2005, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until services.
Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne will be in charge of arrangements.

Rita Guidry Gibson
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, with Father Richard Wagner, S.S.J., officiating, for Rita Guidry Gibson, 63, of Rayne, who died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Burial will follow in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery in Rayne.
Visitation will be observed from 8 until 10 a.m. Saturday.
She is survived by five sons, Kevin “Kel” Gibson, Atlanta, Ga., Wilfred Gibson, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Curtis Gibson, Rayne, Anthony Johnson , Carencro, and Randy Gibson, Norcross, Ga.; one daughter, Lucille Guidry, Rayne; one brother, Manuel Gibson, Rayne; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Gibson, Sr.; her parents, Lucille Davis and Rufus Guidry; one sister, Mary Jane Booze; and two brothers, Rufus Guidry, Jr., and Roy Joseph Guidry.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Christopher Dion Gabriel
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church for Christopher Dion Gabriel, 7, who Passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005, at American Legion Hospital.
Fr. Richard Wagner, S.S.J. will be the celebrant of the Mass with Rev. Mr. Nolton J. Senegal assisting.
interment will be in the church cemetery.
Christopher was a quiet and shy child who loved to play basketball, swim, ride his bike, and play with water ballons. He was a second grader at Martin Pettijean Elementary School. He was liked and loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Shellie Gabriel of Rayne; two sisters, Shatara Price and Chesalyn Portalis; one brother, Jaylon Locksey; grandmothers, Janet Gabriel of Rayne, and Carolyn Locksey of Killeen, Texas ; grandfathers, Harry Locksey, Sr. and Muhammad Nur, both of Crowley; aunts, Kristen Rivera, and Farrah Locksey; an uncle, Harry Locksey, Jr.; great-grandmothers, Rosa Julian and Rosa Smith, both of Rayne; great-grandfather, Sylvester Julian of Rayne; Godparents, Karen Yokum and Lawrence Andrews both of Rayne; great-aunts, Margaret G. Livings, Lois G. Yokum, Oliva G. Figaro, Janice R. Gabriel and Wennette Williams, all of Rayne; great-uncles, Benny Figaro, Lester Livings and Cyress Julian; special cousins, Shaniya Yokum, L’Drakis Livings, Kyeva Livings, Shaylin Livings, Christina Guidry, Jeremy Figaro, Quincy Yokum, and Ashly Yokum.
He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Dion Locksey; maternal grandfather, O’Neal Williams; maternal great-grandparents, Enola Logan and Wilson Gabriel; paternal great-grandparents, Joseph Locksey, Eva A. Johnson , and Leroy Johnson ; Uncle, Joseph "Tuttie" Gabriel.
Pallbearers will be Byron Babineaux, Carlie Davis, John Davis, Jr., Brando Figaro, Byron Sias, and Keefer Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bennete Figaro, Lester Livings, Frank "James" Yokum, Nathan Locksey, Harry Locksey, Sr., Harry Locksey, Jr., Quentin Julian, Timothy Locksey, Cheson Portalis, Rico Price, and Jeremy Figaro.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Syrie Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Joyce Guidry Meaux
Funeral services were held Friday, May 20, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Joyce Guidry Meaux, 66, who died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at 11:15 p.m. at Crowley Guest House.
Deacon Rodless Leleux officiated for the services.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to service time.
A rosary was recited Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Rogers of Maurice, and Lynn Meaux of Crowley; three brothers, Shirley Guidry of Lake Arthur, Harry Guidry of San Antonio and Gaston Guidry, Jr. of Fenton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Meaux was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Allen Meaux; son, Ryan Allen Meaux and her parents, Gaston and Eula Chaisson Guidry.
Arrangements were entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, 301 North Ave. F, Crowley.

Johnny Nation
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Johnny Nation, 43, who died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Burial was in Arceneaux Cemetery.
Visitation was held Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
He is survived by one son, Jonathan Nation, East Liverpool, Ohio; his mother, Jewel Mason, Studenville, Ohio; his father, John Nation, Jr., of Huntsville, Texas ; three sisters, Martha Wright, Florence, Ala., Denise McDole, East Liverpool, Ohio, and Virginia Dempsey, Devil Springs, Ala.; a half-brother, Leonard Kyes, Werton, W. Va., three step-brothers, Ronnie Kyes, Palmroy, Ohio, Bobby Kyes and Jeff Kyes, both of East LIverpool, Ohio; a step-sister, Vicki Menard, Lake Charles; his fiancee, Agnes Kibodeaux, Rayne; four stepchildren, Cody Kibodeaux, Dusty Kibodeaux, M isty Kibodeaux, and Paul Kibodeaux, all of Rayne; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Michael Kyes, a nephew, and a niece.
