Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Dean Bailey Jenkins, 60, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Galilee Baptist Church with the Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kennon's Mortuary, Inc.
Visitation will be held today, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jenkins, a native of Heflin, Passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, in Minden. She was born July 11, 1942, to Marshall Bailey and Roberta Coleman Bailey.
She is survived by her husband, Elwin Jenkins of Dubberly; mother, Roberta Bailey Mims of Dubberly; two sons, Vondrick Jenkins of Los Angeles, Calif, and Elviun Jenkins of Dubberly; one daughter, Veronica Jenkins of Minden; godson, Dock Odom of Los Angeles; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pauline Stanley
Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline M. Stanley will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. today, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by her mother, Minnie Markray; mother-in-law, Evelyn Stanley; five children, Doris Benton and husband the Rev. Wayne Benton of Dallas, Texas , Maruin Stanley; D'Angelia Hay and husband the Rev. Foster Hay, Roger Stanley, Shenetha Reed and husband the Rev. Robert Reed, all of Minden; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; three sisters; and one brother-in-law.

Viola Charping
Graveside services for Mrs. Viola "Peewee" O'Donnell Charping, 76, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at Pine Grove Cemetery with Anthony Charping officiating. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held at 5 p.m., today, Jan. 7, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Charping, a native of Alexandria and a resident of Sibley, Passed away Monday, Jan. 6, in Shreveport. She was retired from Moore's Firestone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack G. Charping.
She is survived by her son, Mack Lee Charping Sr. of Sibley; daughters, Catherine Hunt and husband Brent of Minden, Helen Gibson and husband William of Shreveport; sisters, JoAnn French of Beeville, Texas , Betty Cowart of Converse, Texas ; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Chatelain, Keith Chatelain, Fred Sanders Sr., Jay Fred Sanders Jr., Troy Alexander, and Robert James. Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Fred Sanders.

Ethel Foster
Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel M. Foster, 82, were to be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 6, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Father Phillip Pazhayakari officiating. Burial was to follow at New Ramah Cemetery.
Mrs. Foster, a native of West Wood, N.J., and a resident of Haynesville, Passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, in Haynesville. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Dean and husband John of Shreveport, Janet Sudarto and husband Harry of Ottsville, N.Y.; brother, Jack Haws of Norwood, N.J.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles Jimmerson
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Jimmerson, 31, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Burkhalter Chapel with the Rev. Andy Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Quitman under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Jan. 6, at the funeral home.
Mr. Jimmerson, a resident of Ruston, Passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, in Ruston. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Jesse and Katie Jimmerson of Ruston; brothers, Jerry Jimmerson and wife Theresa of Minden, William "Billy" Jimmerson of Ruston; sisters, Cathy Castilaw and friend Ernie Young of Ruston, Susan Shaw and husband Dale of Dubberly; nieces and nephews, Waylon and Emily Jimmerson, Chelsea and Haley Shaw, and Celeste Jimmerson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Robert Durham, Billy McConnell, Johnny Dunn, Jimmy Dunn, Dale Shaw, and Ernie Young.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston.

Zelma Kilroy
Funeral services for Mrs. Zelma Roberts Brunson Kilroy, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 6, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating and the Rev. Terrell Lowe assisting. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Dixie Inn.
Mrs. Kilroy, a native of Gloster, Miss., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, at I.H.S. of Minden. She was the owner/operator of Brunson Grocery Store and a member of First United Methodist Church of Minden.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wray Allen Brunson and her second husband, Walter Kilroy.
She is survived by her son, James Allen Brunson and wife Jan of Shreveport; daughter, Helen Brunson Gann and husband Rod of Minden; one step-daughter, Diane Westmoreland and husband Tommy of Zachary; two sisters, Hazel Boyd of Bossier City, Jackie Law of Conroe, Texas ; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Angie Sneed
Funeral services for Mrs. Angie Sneed, 102, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Springfield Baptist Church in Mt. Lebanon with the Rev. Lawrence Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Kennon's Mortuary in Minden.
Visitation will be held today, Jan. 3, with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sneed, a native of Heflin, Passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, in Shreveport. She was born Jan. 12, 1900.
She is survived by her four sons, Cleveland Moore of Houston, Texas , Clinton Moore of Houston, Douglas Moore of Victorville, Calif., and Robert Moore of Houston; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lillie Mae Dorch
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae "Honey" Shyne Dorch will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden. Burial will follow at Shephard Street Cemetery in Minden.
Mrs. Dorch Passed away Saturday, Dec. 28. She was born April 26, 1915, in Claiborne Parish to the late Ophelia Terrell Shyne and Jim Shyne.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church and after moving to Minden, joined St. Rest Baptist Church. She later joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Minden, where she remained faithful until she became unable to attend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elie Dorch; her parents; and her niece, Mary A. Hill Washington , who she raised as her child.
She is survived by one sister, Viola Shyne Hill; three nieces, Arlillian Penton of Minden, Linda Shyne and Jewellyne Shyne of Houston, Texas ; one nephew, Leroy Hill and wife Mary of Minden; and a hot of great-great-great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel M. Foster, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Father Karl Daigle officiating. Burial will follow at New Ramah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Foster, a native of West Wood, N.J., and a resident of Haynesville, Passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, in Haynesville. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Dean and husband John of Shreveport, Janet Sudarto and husband Harry of Ottsville, N.Y.; brother, Jack Haws of Norwood, N.J.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lonzo McAlister
Funeral services for Mr. Lonzo "Butch" McAlister, 50, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 2, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Burial will follow at Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville.
Mr. McAlister, a native of Haynesville and a lifelong resident of Homer, Passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, after an accident in Homer. He was a toolpusher for Nabors Drilling Co. for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Kathleen McAlister; and his sister, Vicky Camp.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Miles McAlister of Homer; sister, Cloteal Thomas and husband George of New Braunfels, Texas ; brother-in-law, Harry Camp of Haughton; nieces, Becky Schuldt and Georgena Thomas; and nephews, Ernie Camp and Lonnie Allen Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Bill Williams, Zane Camp, Tom Futch, Ralph Wayne Walters, Scooter Corbit, and Mike Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Miles, Clay Gamble and Don Krouse.

John Dixon
Memorial services for Mr. John T. Dixon will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at First United Methodist Church in Minden. The Rev. J. Roddy Taylor will officiate.

James Flournoy
Funeral services for Mr. James Kenneth Flournoy will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Minden under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home.

Amy Frost
Funeral services for Mrs. Amy S. Frost, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Mike Crump officiating and the Rev. Frank DeLoach assisting. Burial will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. today, April 10, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Frost, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas , and a resident of Scottsdale, Ariz., Passed away Sunday, April 6, in Scottsdale. She was a secretary for Fellowship Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was also a member of WMU and a member of the VFW, where she was the recipient of the Citizenship Award for 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny E. Frost; parents, Thomas and Amy Sumner; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by six sons, Thomas E. Frost of Dubberly, Johnny L. Frost and wife Cindy of Parker, Texas , Charles Howard Frost of Fredericksburg, Texas , Danny Frost and wife Kathy of Oklahoma City, Okla., James “Buddy” Frost and wife Nicole of Tarzana, Calif., and Robert “Hookie” Frost of Dubberly; two daughters, Rosemary Anderson and husband Curtis of Scottsdale, and Amy “Nettie” Ray and husband Jerry of Dubberly; sister, Hannah McKissack and husband Donald of Minden; sisters-in-law, Toni Sumner of Blevins, Ark., and Betty Sumner of Carrolton, Texas , and Ora Manning of Corbin, Ky.; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Johnnie W. Frost, Zachary Frost, Jason Anderson, T.C. Anderson IV, Joseph Frost and Bryan Hunt. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Anderson, Thomas Dale Frost, Daniel P. Frost, Brent Hunt, Dean Jamison, Jim Milligan, and Mikey Milligan.

John Thomason
Graveside services for Mr. John Houston Thomason, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at Aldridge Cemetery in Hot Springs, Ark. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. today, April 10, at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomason, a native of Hot Springs and a resident of Cotton Valley, Passed away Tuesday, April 8, in Minden. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thomason of Cotton Valley; daughters, Evalou Sandlin and Walt Sakowsky of Sibley, Vicki Kay Reynolds and husband Dale of Sulpher Springs, Texas ; grandsons, Brian Keith Sandlin, Joshua Sandlin, Timmy Reynolds, and Micah Reynolds; and six great-grandchildren.

Allen Loud
Funeral services for Mr. Allen Loud will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Valley Springs Baptist Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Valley Springs Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Justin Morris
Funeral services for Justin Allen Morris, 21, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Wayne DuBose officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, April 9, at the funeral home and Thursday prior to services, also at the funeral home.
Morris, a resident of Minden, Passed away Sunday, April 6, in Memphis, Tenn. He was born in Minden Oct. 2, 1981. He Passed away at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
Morris graduated from Glenbrook School in May 2000, where his senior year, he was named first team All-District, both offense and defense, for the Glenbrook Apache varsity football team. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Minden. Prior to his illness Justin had been a junior pre-med major at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, where he worked in the La. Tech Bookstore and was a member of Baptist Collegiate Ministry and Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-medical honors society.
Even though he will not be able to fulfill his dreams of being a medical doctor, Morris had already touched the lives of many people and that influence will continue through memories of him.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, W.H. "Bill" Bullock and E.C. "Pop" and Ruth Morris.
He is survived by his parents, Frank C. and Jan Bullock Morris of Minden; three siblings, Matt, Brad and Kelsey Morris; grandparents, Louella "Dinah" Bullock of Monroe; step-grandparents, Wilma and Turner Sanders of Jena; aunts and uncles, Sandra Bullock, Karen Black and husband, Dr. Charles Black, of Shreveport, Bobbye and Junior Miller of Ormond Beach, Fla., Gwen Smith, Nell and Buddy Sanders, all of Jena; and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his adoring sweetheart Alisia Formby of Ruston and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Craig Walker, Dr. Michael Chanler, Dr. Stanley Chaleff, Matt Bankston, and Chase Black. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Louisiana Tech University Bookstore.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorials Dept, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
