Shirley Abendroth

Funeral service for Shirley Joan Abendroth, 73, North Branch, took place Sept. 2 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home. Rev. James Martin officiated.

Abendroth died Aug. 30, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born Feb. 6, 1931 in Maynard to Elmer Peterson and Vivian E. Agusta.

She is survived by her former husband, Paul Abendroth; sons, Dana, Derren, Derrek, Drake and Devin; daughter, Penny; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard D. Peterson and Dr. Lee Peterson; and daughter, Paula J.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

James Bostwick

Funeral service for James Marcus Bostwick, 55, Dayton, will take place today (Friday, Sept. 10) at 1 p.m. at Thurston Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Liane S. Rock will officiate.

Bostwick died Sept. 3, 2004 at his home. He was born Jan. 1, 1949 in Highland Park, Mich., to James Marcus and Elizabeth (Jones) Bostwick. He was a computer systems analyst at Cargill for 26 years and a founding member and first president of the Tri-County Threshers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughter, Samantha; son, Jeffrey; mother, Elizabeth; and sisters, Peg Bostwick (Joseph Bohr) and Anne (Mark) Dillaman.

He was preceded in death by his father, James.

Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Cecil Brown Jr.

Funeral service for Cecil Martin Brown Jr., 83, Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 7 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Jose Puthenparambil officiated.

Brown died Aug. 30, 2004 at Unity Hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1921 in Baltimore, Md., to Cecil Martin and Viola (Ely) Brown. He was a retired Greyhound bus driver.

He is survived by his sons; Perry and Mark; and sister, Betty Chatwood.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Ada Carlson

Funeral service for Ada Carlson, 96, Ham Lake, took place Sept. 2 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Ham Lake.

Carlson died Aug. 30, 2004.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Rasmusson, Marcia (Phil) Landborg, Linda (Tom) Miller; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and three brothers.

Interment was at Our Saviour's Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Mattson Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Katherine Doolittle

Memorial service for Katherine 'Kitty' M. (Hanson) Doolittle, 85, Brainerd, took place Sept. 6 at the Crosslake Presbyterian Church.

Doolittle died Aug. 31, 2004 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Village, Pine River.

She is survived by her husband, George 'Bill;' sons, Robert Caziarc of Phoenix, Ariz., Rodger (Jean) Doolittle of Ham Lake, Raymond (Cindy) Doolittle of Mounds View; daughter, DeDe (Steve Roberts) Doolittle of Pequot Lakes; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Minnesota.

Lulu McLean

Funeral service for Lulu C. McLean, 85, Coon Rapids, formerly of Duluth, took place Sept. 3 at Church of St. Stephen, Anoka. Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.

McLean died Aug. 31, 2004 at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1918 in Dayton.

She is survived by her husband, Mac; sons, Ed (Patty), Bill (Vickie); daughters, Sue (Jerry) Brletich, Judy (Terry) Larkin; grandchildren, Kelly (Nancy), Wendy, Karen (Ryan) Tengwall, Marty, Cindy, Sandy, Tami, Shawn (Jean), Shelley (Brent); great-grandchildren, Payton, Patrick, Allie Marie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter; brothers, Bob and Phil; and sister, Odelle.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Lenore Sivigny

Funeral service for Lenora 'Lenny' Sivigny, 72, Oak Grove, took place Sept. 4 at St. Patrick's of Cedar Creek Catholic Church. Rev. Rick Banker officiated.

Sivigny died Sept. 2, 2004 in Anoka. She was born April 19, 1932 in Grand Forks, N.D., to Bert and Bessie Steffington. She was employed in management.

She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Gail Doerr and husband Willie, Katie Horner and husband Chris of Anoka; six grandsons; one granddaughter; and six great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

Charles Abraham

Funeral service for Charles Frederick Abraham, 68, Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 14 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. Ray Fritz officiated.

Abraham died Sept. 10, 2004 at Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Paul. He was born Dec. 31, 1935 in St. Cloud to Leo and Jannie Abraham. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea and was a truck driver.

He is survived by his sons, Michael, Brian (Kye Sun), Scott, Todd (Lisa) and Wayne; daughter, Michele (Brian) Benjaminson; grandchildren, Christopher, Amber, Tyler, Ashlyn, Luke, Eric and Kristen; special friend, Betty Iliff; and brothers and sisters.

He was preceded by his wife, Drenda.

Pallbearers were Arne and Scott Iliff, Dan Howe and Tony Welsh.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

Mae Brown

Funeral service for Mae DeMars Brown, 81, Cedar, took place Sept. 14 at the Brown residence.

Brown died Sept. 11, 2004 at her home. She was born Aug. 14, 1913 in Kewanee, Ill., to John William and Elizabeth Arthula (Lee) Brown.

She is survived by her children, David (Vickie) Brown, Denise (Terry) Tovsen and Donna Bazoff; stepson, Clyde Brown; grandchildren, Lisa Maas, Sara Tovsen, Jim, Jennifer and Johnny Bazoff, Jessica, Jacob and Ron Brown; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gage and Veda Maas, Andrew Brown, Riain Donnelly and Alexander Bazoff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; sister, Evelyn Allison and Mildred Schuller; and brothers, John, Archie and Orvie Allison.

Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Brian Fuller

Funeral service for Brian S. Fuller, 41, Anoka, took place Sept. 13 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids, Rev. William Kirmsse officiated.

Fuller died Sept. 8, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1962 in Minneapolis. He worked for 17 years at Hoffman Enclosures in Anoka.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Dehen); sons, Pvt. Ryan of Fort Lee, Va., and Jacob of Princeton; parents, Paige and Carol; siblings, Bruce (Peg) of Sartell, Brenda (Kevin) Pethtel of Irvine, Calif., and Paige of South Bend, Ind.; niece, Emily; and nephew, Clayton.

Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Grey Eagle. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

LeRoy Hovde

Funeral service for LeRoy Marvin 'Lee' Hovde, 74, St. Francis, took place Sept. 10 at St. Francis United Methodist Church. Rev. Rhodel Jacobson officiated.

Hovde died Sept. 6, 2004 at his home. He was born Sept. 12, 1929 in Bagley to Edward Bernard and Hattie Charlotte (Sands) Hovde. He was a supervisor at the former Cornelius Manufacturing in Anoka.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Julie (Jerry) Casper, Mark (Lisa); stepchildren, Kevin (Crysti) Schieber, Kelli (Jim) Rogers, Kenny (Desi) Schieber; 10 grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, LeRoy Jr. and Marvin; and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Joel, Josh and Jerry Casper, Kevin and Kenny Schieber and Jim Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Casper, Cody, Ryan, Colton and Mason Schieber, Mitchell and Alexis Rogers and Cameron Musselman.

Interment was at West Oak Grove Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Leona Krenn

Funeral service for Leona Delphine Krenn, 86, Anoka, took place Sept. 11 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. David Blume officiated.

Krenn died Sept. 7, 2004 in Anoka. She was born Sept. 3, 1918 in Albertville to Louis Beaudry and Laura Martin.

She is survived by sons, Michael (Agnes), Thomas (Michele), Patrick (Julie) and John (Barbara); daughters, Suzanne (Robert) Blewett and Diane (Daniel) Rogers; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Charlotte) Beaudry; sisters, Ora Wolff, Ellen Bouley and Sr. Laurice Beaudry; and sisters-in-law, Martina, Dorothy and Evelyn Beaudry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, David; brothers, Lester, Elmer and Wilfred Beaudry; and sister, Marian Fehn.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
