Margaret M. Troske, 92, of Seaforth died Tuesday, August 17, 1999 at the Wabasso Healthcare Center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Seaforth with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 5 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by her brother Albert Trost and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Barbara Shemon, Theresa Shemon, Angeline Mashek and two brothers: George and Joseph Trost.
She was born Jan. 16, 1907 in Sheridan Twp, Redwood County to George and Theresa (Brey) Trost. She grew up near Seaforth and attended country school.
She married Joseph D. Troske on June 3, 1930. She lived in Seaforth her entire life until becoming a resident at the Wabasso Healthcare Center in 1994.

Harold B. Kiecker, 84, of Fairfax, died Monday, August 16, 1999 at the Fairfax Community Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township, Renville County with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-8:30 Friday at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; sisters Hatie, Elsie and Ester, and brothers John, Ernest and Kenneth.
He was born Aug. 18, 1914 in Wellington Township, Renville County, to Otto W. and Mary (Luedtke) Kiecker. He grew up in Wellington Township where he attended Emanuel Lutheran School. He resided in Wellington Township where he farmed all of his working life. After his retirement he continued living on his farm until 1996 when he moved into the Country View Estates in Fairfax. He was a lifetime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellinton Township.

Mary Josephine Grengs, 86, of Delano, died Tuesday, August 17 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Peter in Delano with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ralph Bohn of Medina; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jacky of England, Paul and Rose of Eagan, and Michael of Hanover; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Destner of Albert Lea; sisters Betty Tauer of Hutchinson, Martha Destner of St. Paul, Helen Tourville of St. Paul, and Zita Kestner of Seattle, Wash.
She was preceeded in death by her husband; brother Raymond Kestner and sister Veronica Prom.
She was born April 27, 1913 in Sleepy Eye to Joseph and Anna (Rothmeier) Kestner and was married to George J. Grengs.
She was an active member of the Delano Seniors and volunteered as a receptionist and with other activities at the Delano Senior Center. In addition she was a long time member of the Delano Senior Choir and for a time volunteered as a "pink lady" at the Delano Healthcare Center.

Inez J. Lee, 89, of Fairfax, died Thursday, August 19, 1999 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County with burial in Ft. Ridgely and Dale Cemetery in Camp Township.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday, and 7:30- 8 a.m. Monday at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax and will one hour prior to the service at the church.

Reinhard O. "Reiny" Heidemann, 87, formerly of Nicollet died Thursday, August 19, 1999 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Barb and Win Vatthauer of Belle Plaine, Rhonda Halvorson of Redwood Falls; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters and brother in law, Ruth and Glen Meyer of Mankato, Carol Heidemann of Calumet City, Ill.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Doris Heidemann of Estell Springs, Tenn., Donald "Bud" and Averill Heidemann of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Erna in 1991; step-mothers, Eleanora Stolt Heidemann and Nellie Nothwehr Heidemann.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1911 in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County to Henry and Viola (Freitag) Heidemann. He married Erna Bode July 30, 1939 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland Township, Nicollet County. After marriage they lived in Nicollet. He had been employed as a Automobile Mechanic at the Nicollet Garage, as a Custodian at the Nicollet Public School, and a Machinery Mechanic at Zins Implement in Nicollet. He had owned and operated the DX Gas Station in Nicollet and had been a Maintenance Man for the Martin Luther College in New Ulm until he retired in 1987. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet and had held various church offices. He had volunteered at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and had also volunteered at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.

William J. Puchner, 84 of Webster, Wis. and formerly of New Ulm, died August 16, 1999.
Services were held Aug. 19 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Bluette; sons, Billy of Webster, Wisc., Chris and wife Heidi of St. Louis Park, Andy and wife Beth of Minnetonka; sisters, Anna Marie Bock of Omaha, Neb., Mary Ellen Little of Minneapolis, Carol Rauch of Shakopee; nieces, nephews and friends.
He was CEP of Minnetonka Glass and Mirror of Deephaven; and Glass and Mirror Works of Webster, Wisc.

George Edward Dawes, 84, of Owatonna died Friday August 20, 1999 at Cedarview Nursing Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal in Owatonna. Burialo with military honors will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m.l Monday at the Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna.
He is survived by his wife Alvera; daughter and son-in-law Katherine and Scott Brittain, all of Owatonna; daughter and son-in-law Judith and Mike Martens of New Ulm; four grandchildren; sister Ilene Knitter of Rochester, N.Y.
He was born Oct. 29, 1914 in Ellendale, N.D. to Charles and Elizabeth (Townsend) Dawes. He was a 1938 graduate of the University of N.D., Grand Forks. He married Alvera R. Deal June 21, 1941 in Minneapolis. He was drafted into the U.S. Army as a Private in 1941, graduated from officers' training school, was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in 1942, and served in Iraq, Iran, the Persian Gulf, China, Burma, and India. He was decorated for service in each of those theaters of operation and was discharged in 1946 as a Captain, joining the Army Reserves. He was promoted to Major in 1953 and retired from the Reserves in 1974. Following active military service, he worked for Starline Barn Equipment of Howard, Ill. He purchased a hardware store in Owatonna in 1954, retiring from the business in 1977.He was president of the Owatonna Chamber of Commerce in 1961, served on the advisory committee of Owatonna High School, was a member of the Owatonna Development Corp., was a member of the Minnesota Hardware Association, and the Elks' Lodge. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Owatonna, serving on the Vestry and many other church committees. He was also a member of American Legion Post 77, VFW Post 3723, the Reserve Officers Association, China-Burma-India-Basha, and the Persian Gulf Command Club. He was an eleventh-generation, direct decendant of American Revolution figure William Dawes, -- the man who rode with Paul Revere in 1775 to warn of the coming of British forces in the hours before the Battles at Lexington and Concord, Mass. -- and organized "The Decendants of William Dawes Who Rode Association in 1976, and was President Emeritus of that organization.

Elvie Blackstad, 84. of Simi Valley, Calif., formerly of St. James, died Friday, August 13, 1999 at the Simi Valley Community Hospital.
Services were conducted Aug. 18 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Sheldon and wife Nancy of Conway S.C., Terrence and wife Christi of Placentia, Calif.; daughter Victryn and husband Edward Carey of Simi Valley, Calif.; sister Ima and husband Eadell Wing of Springfield; eight grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Ray in 1988, her parents, her sister Roselind, and son-in-law Phillip Mann.
She was born Feb. 27, 1915 in Adrian Twp, Watonwan County to Peter and Edity (Olson) Freeman. She attended the Sveadahl rural school and St. James High School, graduating in 1932. She married Ray Blackstad Feb. 27, 1934 in St. James. They lived in rural St. James and Buffalo Lake, moving to Los Angeles in 1950. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was active in the WELCA circle.

Inez Juliet (Rovainen) Lee, 89, of Fairfax, died Thursday, August 19, 1999 at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Central Lutheran Church, Camp Township, Renville County, with burial in Fort Ridgely and Dale Cemetery, Camp Township, Renville County.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8 a.m. Monday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by sons, Robert and wife Fayette of Franklin, Donald and wife Lucille of Fairfax and James and wife Gaynelle of Montevideo; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Selma Rosvold of Cottonwood, Mabelle Lerstad of Mesa, Ariz., Evelyn Lee of Franklin, Ella Wilson of Apache Junction, Ariz., Carl Lee of Franklin, Melvin Lee of Franklin, Gordon and Beverly Lee of Fairfax, Arthur Lee of Fairfax and Lud and Mildred Solem of Duluth; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by he husband Elmer; parents, Isaac and Emma Rovainen; brothers, Fred, Adolph and Carl Rovainen; and sisters, Verna Boyum, Esther Schell, Gladys Solem, Helen Johnson, Lila House, Mae Solem and Mildred Lee.
She was born Dec. 18, 1909 in Bandon Township, Renville County, to Isaac and Emma J. (Johnson) Rovainen. She attended School District #69 in Bandon Township, Renville County and Franklin Public School. Her father died in 1924. Her mother sold the farm and moved the family to Minneapolis when Inez was 14. She graduated from North High School in Minneapolis. She was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and the Forum Cafe in Minneapolis. She married Elmer Manford Lee on June 24, 1936 in Minneapolis. The farmed in Camp Township, Renville County. They retired in 1971 and continued living on their farm site until they moved into Fairfax in 1973. She was a long-time member of Central Lutheran Church, Camp Township, Renville County, where she served on the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School.

Albert Andrew Goerish, 85, of Sanborn, died Friday, August 20, 1999 at Springfield Medical Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Sanborn, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield, and will continue 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
He is survived by his wife Thelma; sons, Lewis of Sanborn, Gerald and wife Gloria of Clear Lake, Iowa, Edward and wife Leilani of Ashby, Charles and wife Sandra of Tracy, Roger and wife Bev of Kiester and Thomas of Clara City; daughters, Eleanor (Elly) and husband Frank Trebesch of Sanborn and Bev and husband Sal Winschitl of New Ulm; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister Gertrude Tibodeau of Sogge Care Center, Windom.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert; daughter Theresa; brother Leo; and sisters, Doraa, Tillie, Edith and Eleanore.
He was born April 20, 1914 in Bingham Lake, to August and Teresa (Schnobrich) Goerish. he married Thelma Fults on Nov. 6, 1933 in Lamberton. Following marriage, they farmed south of Sanborn and also owned land and farmed near Belgrade. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Sanborn, an honorary member of Knights of Columbus, a member of the Minnesota Corn Producers and the Farmers Union.

Loretta Meuleners, 81, of Arlington, died Friday, August 20, 1999 at Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Arlington, with burial in St. Brendan Catholic Cemetery, Cologne.
Visitation is 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Arlington.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Angie Bertrang of Maple Lake; sister Rita Tritz of Belle Plaine; brother-in-law Donald Timm of Arlington; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill, in 1978; sister Veronica Timm.
She was born in Green Isle Township, Sibley County, on Aug. 10, 1918 to Bernard and Mary (Meyers) Bertrang. She grew up in the Arlington area, graduating from Arlington High School in 1936. She worked at Noack's Produce as a telephone operator. She lived at home helping her parents. She married William Meuleners on June 27, 1964 in Arlington. After marriage, they resided in Colgna. She smoved to Gaylord after her husband's death. She becane a resident of Arlington Good Samaritan Center in the fall of 1985.
