Helen Doering, 69, of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Winthrop Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, Winthrop, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop. This will be a double visitation and funeral with her sister Violet Hedine.

Claudine J. Spear, 80, of Sherburn died Nov. 3, 1999, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Sherburn with burial in the Sherburn Cemetery with full military honors by the Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post 356 and the Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8261.
Visitation is one hour prior to the services Sunday at the church. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Rademaker and her husband Joe of Mankato; son, Daryl Spear and his wife Pat of Winona; grandchildren, Kim Rademaker of Mankato, Joe Rademaker of Nicollet and Samantha Spear of Winona; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nola Amley and her husband Gene of New Richland; Fern Stump and Mervene Spear, both of Sherburn, Ellen Spear of Wadena; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Leo Butler and other relatives.
She was born July 10, 1919, to Marcus and Eula (Ponder) Butler in Waco, Texas. She received her education in Texas and graduated from nurses training at Providence Hospital in Waco. On June 15, 1943, she entered the United States Army serving in the Army Nurse Corps as a First Lieutenant. She married Donald D. Spear on July 10, 1945 in Paris, France. Upon her honorable discharge on Feb. 13, 1946, the couple returned to the Sherburn area. She was a nurse at the Fairmont and Trimont hospitals. She then was employed at the Trimont Nursing Home until her retirement. Her husband died Nov. 18, 1994. She was a member of United Methodist Church and Sherburn United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post 356 and the Sherburn VFW Post 8261.

Allegra A. (Ginkel) Reding, 79, of St. Paul, formerly of New Ulm and Courtland, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 674 Johnson Parkway in St. Paul, with burial in Union Cemetery in St. Paul.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the Wulff Family Services, Crestwood Park Mortuary in St. Paul, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by her husband Cyril; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Richard Tourville; son, Tony Reding; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Willard and Delores Ginkel, Wallace and Clarice Ginkel; other relatives and friends.

Lois M. Suderman, 69, of Delft, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in Windom.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Carson Mennonite Brethren Church in Delft, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today and one hour before the service Monday at the church. Bjerum Funeral Home in Mountain Lake is handling arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Jean; daughters, Elaine and husband Eric Goedde of Valley Center, Kansas, and LaVonne and husband Joe Blowers of Portland, Ore.; a son, Dwight and wife Danielle of Mound Ridge, Kansas; eight grandchildren; an uncle and aunt, Arnie and Margaret Friesen, and her step mother-in-law, Martha Suderman of Mountain Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, David; a brother, Elmer, a sister, Caroline; four uncles and two aunts.
She was born March 24, 1930, in Mountain Lake to Isaac and Nettie (Friesen) Weins. She attended grade school at 16 Central in Carlson Township and public school at Mountain Lake. She attended college at Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Neb. She was baptized on her confession of faith on Aug. 30, 1942, and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Carson Township, where she was a lifetime member.
She married Jean Suderman on Jan. 26, 1952, in Delft. They lived and farmed in Dale and Carson Townships. She taught Vacation Bible School with the American Sunday School Union, and was active in her church in teaching Sunday School, was organist for many years, and sang in the church choir. She was chairman of the Women's Missionary Society, active in the Mennonite Central Committee with the Care and Share Store in Mountain Lake, and was active in the Lois Club. She helped make many quilts for third world countries, and was a volunteer in eastern Kentucky and Mali, West French Africa.

Charles Domeier, 96, of Fairfax died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at the Fairfax nursing home.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hantge-Hauser Funeral Home in Fairfax and will continue one hour prior to the time of service at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Ethel M. Seybert, 92, of Springfield, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999 at the Springfield Medical Center, in Springfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial in Lamberton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. Visitation will also continue for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by daughters Dorothy Hagen of Fairfax, Charlotte and Linus Salfer of Wabasso, Jeanette and Gordon Dey of New Ulm; son-in-law Charles Riederer of Sleepy Eye; daughters-in-law Irene Becker of Springfield and Ruth Becker of St. Paul; 33 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hawk of St. Paul, Lola and Lester Schultz of Faribault and Millie and Castle Norcutt of Lucan, Eloise Kretch of Renville, and Dagmar Dagner of Lamberton.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands John Becker in 1968 and Harlan Seybert in 1990; sons Eugene, Christ, Faye, John Jr.; a daughter Margie Riederer, a brother Leslie; sisters, May Lensing, Christine Blum, and Garnet Strutman, and sons-in-law Lester Hagen and Marvin Salfer.
She was born Dec. 28, 1906 to Christ and Maggie Larsen in Charlestown Township, Redwood County. She attended grade school in Charlestown Township.
She married John Becker on Dec. 30, 1924, at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. She and her husband raised eight children. Following John's death in 1968, she moved to Springfield in 1971.
On March 11, 1972, she married Harlan Seybert at the United Methodist Church in Springfield. She worked at Tony Down Foods in St. James for 16 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and was a lifetime resident of Redwood and Brown Counties.

Raymond Brandt, 89, of Hanska, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at the Lutheran Memorial Home in Madelia.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Firle Funeral Home in Hanska and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by her sons Malcolm and Gervaise Brandt of Madelia, B. Peter "Barry" and Vera Brandt of Mt. Morris, NY, Marlin and Diane Brandt of Riverside, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mae Olson and husband Donald of Hanska; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, four step great grandchildren; an adopted brother Vincent Gilson of Chicago; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Borghild and Evelyn; three brothers Uclair, Elmer, and Lester, an adopted sister Charlotte; and two grandsons Mark and Paul Brandt.
He was born Dec. 22, 1909, the son of Carl and Anna (Frenzel) Brandt in Mankato. He spent most of his youth in the Madelia area where he attended country schools and grew up on the family farm. He married Borghild Sorheim on April 14, 1928 in Hanska. They lived in Milwaukee and later returned to the Hanska area where they farmed from 1934 to 1963. After retiring from farming, he worked as a salesman for the Hanska Farmers Coop. His wife died in 1983 and he later married Evelyn Johnson. They made their home in Hanska. She died in January1998. He became a resident of the Lutheran Memorial Home in Madelia in November of 1998. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska.

Viola A. Dingfelder, 84, of Hutchinson, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Hutchinson.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church, Sleepy Eye with burial in the Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by her children Sofianne and James Evers of Mountain Lake, Julie Dingfelder of New Ulm, Ronald and Gloria Dingfelder of Big Stone City, South Dakota and Linda and Gregory van der Hagen of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Daisy Jones of Oregon City, Oregon; sisters-in-law Helen Lendt of New Ulm and Lydia Dingfelder of Rochester, and a brother-in-law Harold Krzmarzick of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, four brothers and one sister.
She was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Sleepy Eye, the daughter of Hans and Sofi (Anderson) Syverson. She grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye. She married Harold G. Dingfelder on March 25, 1937 in Sleepy Eye and they made their home in Sleepy Eye. They owned and operated Dings Roller Rink in the communities of Sleepy Eye, Springfield, Comfrey and Bird Island.
In 1933, she entered the Sleepy Eye Care Center and eventually moved to Hutchinson. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye and its Ladies Aid. She was also involved in the Sleepy Eye Senior Citizen's and the A.R.C.

Charles G. Domeier, 96, of Fairfax died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Fairfax Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. today at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the service on Monday.
Hauser-Hantge Chapel handled arrangements.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Mary Domeier of Redwood Falls, Larry and Sharon Domeier of Phoenix, Ariz., Raymond and Carol of Fairfax, Robert and Rose Domeier of Crystal; and daughters, Sister Renee Domeier of St. Joseph and Joan Steins and her husband, George of Duluth; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Rose Marlowe of Fairfax and Ceil Odom of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; brothers, Frank, George, Robert, Louis, Joseph in infancy; sisters, Martha, Mary and Clara.
He was born June 26, 1903, in Bandon Township, Renville County to Frank and Christina (Schroedl) Domeier. After finishing school, he worked as a hired man until 1928, when he married Rose Frassel at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. The farmed. After retirement, he worked on the Mayflower Golf Course. He served on the creamery board, as a trustee of St. Andrew's Catholic Church for 11 years, and as financial secretary for St. Joseph's Aid Society.

Maynard Firchau, 76, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Madelia Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the Riverside Cemetery in Madelia.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia and one hour preceding the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Madelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bernard Kunz of Madelia, Linda and Postel of New Ulm, Norma and Frank Henefield of Blooming Prairie, eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hildegard Sieg, Irma Krueger, and one brother, Rienhold Firchau.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
He was born March 8, 1923, to Albert and Caroline (Krause) Firchau, in South Branch Township. He attended South Branch Lutheran School. On Nov. 21, 1944, he married Donna Harris at the First Baptist Parsonage in Madelia. He entered active duty in the U.S. Army on Dec. 13, 1944 and served in Japan until his honorable discharge in November 1945. He was employed at M.B. Peterson for several years as a truck driver. He also worked for Gopher Concrete and later as an independent carpenter until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of the American Legion Lewisville and the VFW in Madelia.

Clarence Tarter, 90, of Westbrook, formerly of Jeffers, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Amo United Methodist Church, Storden, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Jefferson. and continues 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Amo United Methodist Church, rural Storden.
A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Walter L. Kasch, 86, of St. James died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in St. James.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pease Funeral Home in St. James with burial with military honors at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Carolin and John Petterborg of St. James, Connie and Ivan Groff of New Ulm, three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; sister, Alvina Keenan of Mankato and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn in 1972; an infant son; brother, William and three infant brothers and sisters Ida, Lena, Sofie, Jeanette and Doris.
He was born on Oct. 20, 1913, in South Branch Township, Watonwan County, to Fred and Carrie (Hecht) Kasch. He attended school in South Branch. He worked with his father in the well digging business for several years and then as a mechanic at the John Deere dealership in St. James. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1946 as an airplane engine mechanic. He married Evelyn Orr on Dec. 23, 1946, in Mankato. After his military service he returned to work at the John Deere dealership in St. James, where he worked for more than 43 years.
After his retirement in 1975 he worked as a handy man for Nelson Ford in St. James until it closed. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in St. James until it closed and a member of the St. James American Legion. He had been a resident of the Pleasant View Nursing Home since 1995.
