Hattie Bolduan, 89, formerly of 504 1/2 S. Minnesota St., New Ulm, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at the Wabasso Care Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by a daughter, Lavonne "Lonnie" Rudell of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Cleo Bolduan and Ron and Linda Bolduan, all of New Ulm; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ruth Clyne and Betty Clyne, both of New Ulm and Marie Clyne of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester J. Bolduan in 1967; sisters Lilly Postel and Nita Paa; and brothers, Golden, William, John, Martin, Joe, Oscar, Repass and Pete Clyne.
She was born July 29, 1911, in Spencer, Iowa, to Sam and Edna (Harris) Clyne. She worked at Stork Brothers in New Ulm. She married Lester J. Bolduan on Jan. 6, 1931, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. She was a homemaker and lived in New Ulm until entering the Wabasso Care Center in 1997. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.

Theone Andreasen, 79, of Madelia, died Dec. 30, 2000, at Madelia Community Hospital.
A private family service will be held Wednesday at the Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Nancy of Lake Crystal; daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Richard Menne of Eagle Lake; son-in-law, Bill Slattery of Maple Grove; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Nylo and Mary Schmalz of Westbrook, Gene and Norma Schmalz of Windom and Dale and Joane Schmalz of Mora; sister and brother-in-law, Cleo and Don Baker of Walnut Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; daughter, Patricia, in 1999, and two grandchildren.
She was born Nov. 10, 1921, to Henry and Tempa (Clark) Schmalz in Westbrook. She graduated from Westbrook High School in 1939. She married William Andreasen in 1940. They lived in Heron Lake, Storden, Westbrook and moved to Madelia in 1953. She worked at Jacobson's Grocery Store and at the Madelia Community Hospital.

Emma Siem, 80, of St. James, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church, with burial in West Sveadahl Lutheran Cemetery, St. James.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home and one hour before the services t the church.
She is survived by her husband, Dale of St. James; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Curtis Greig of New Brighton; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Gail Larson of St. Bonifacius; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Neubauer of Mesa, Ariz.; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lonnie Larson; an infant sister; and two infant brothers, Walter and Frederick Neubauer.
She was born Dec. 1, 1920, to Robert and Mary Anna (Schleh) Neubauer in St. Paul. She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1938. She married Lonnie Larson on Nov. 28, 1940, near Sveadahl. They farmed for seven years before buying the Sveadahl Station which they operated until Lonnie died on May 21, 1962. She married Dale Diem on July 30, 1966, at Long Lake Lutheran Church. They lived in St. James. She belonged to Augustana Lutheran Church, Happy Helpers and Christian Women.

James Jemmings, 86, of Morgan, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center, Redwood Falls.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Morgan, with burial in the church cemetery at a later date.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, Morgan, and at the church Thursday, one hour prior to the service. A parish prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanore of Morgan; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Pam of Morgan; daughter, Sharon Lund of Redwood Falls; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters and a brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Howard Christensen and Clara Cleveland, all of Canby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lawrence, Henry and Art.
He was born Sept. 11, 1914, to Albert and Sophie (Pohlen) Jemmings in Hospers, Iowa. He moved to Canby in 1930. He moved to Morgan in 1938. He married Eleanore Ricke on Oct. 25, 1938, in Morgan. He owned and operated Jemmings' Trucking in Morgan for 60 years. He retired in the fall of 1998. He belonged to St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Bernice Schenk, 83, of Sanborn, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Faith Evangelical Church in Sanborn with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-11 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and will continue one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by husband, Alfred of Springfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Mary Schenk of Sanborn, Curt and Jackie Schenk of Sanborn, daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerome Graff of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edna Schwarzrock, Esther Mathkan, Elnora Hanson; and a sister in infancy; and a brother, Herbert Schwarzrock.
She was born April 4, 2001, in Springfield to Edward and Louise (Helle) Schwarzrock. She moved with her family to Mahnomen in 1920. She graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1935.
She married Alfred Schenk on July 15, 1943, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mahnomen. They farmed in Germantown Township. They lived there until she entered St. John Lutheran Home in Sept. 1996. They joined Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn and became a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1960. She was active in the church's women's group.

Richard Haack, 73, of San Diego, formerly of New Ulm, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at La Jolla Care Center.
A Catholic Memorial service will be held Thursday at El Camino Memorial Park with a submarine Veteran Honor Guard, "Gone on Last Patrol-Sailor Rest Your Oars."
Burial with military honors will be held at El Camino Memorial Park.
He is survived by wife, Jane; daughter, Mary Catherine and husband Bruce Cahill of San Diego, Calif., son, John of San Diego; sister, Donna Scharf of New Ulm; brothers, Robert (Dale) and Agnes of New Ulm, Gordon and Karen of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Doris Griebel of New Ulm; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David on May 3, 2000; granddaughter, Jessica; sister and brother-in-law,Twyla and Hubert Lindmeier; brother Earl (Wayne) Haack; and nephew, Hubert Lindmeier, Jr.
He was born Oct. 13, 1927, to Richard and Josephine (Soligny) Haack in Gaylord.
He married Jane Seitz on Dec. 1, 1951, at All Souls Catholic Church in Alhambra, Calif. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1945 and entered the Navy. He was in the submarine service for nine years, serving in World War II and Korea. He served in the Naval Reserve for six years and the Army Reserve for 23 years. He graduated from Pasadena City College and Whittier College. He was the district supervisor for AT&T until his retirement. He was an active member in the submarine veterans organization and the 50 Holland Club. He was also a member of the Rolling Teepees Club.

Daniel A. Grosam, 76, of rural Gibbon died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline Grosam of rural Gibbon; daughters, Linda Grosam, Cindy Ahlbrecht and her fiancé Galen Elwood, all of Gibbon; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Jeannine Grosam of Gibbon and Gary and Roberta Grosam of New Ulm; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Amelia Sauser of Lakeville and Rosaria Harris of Winsted; and brother, Walter Grosam of Cedar Lake, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant grandsons, Christopher, Joey and Travis Grosam; sisters, Elsie Olson, Veronica Kokesch, Myra Kokesch and Florimunda Wendorf; and brothers, Leo, Ambrose, Clarence and John Grosam.
He was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Severance Township, Sibley County, to John G. and Anna (Schwab) Grosam. He attended country school in the Gibbon area and Holy Trinity Catholic School in New Ulm. He married Adeline Leske on Aug. 9, 1949, at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. They farmed in Severance Township, Sibley County, for 60 years until ill health forced his retirement. He also was a bundle delivery route driver for the New Ulm Journal for the last ten years. He was a member of St. Willibrord's Catholic Church.

Thomas Bowles, 91, of Mesa, Ariz., died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Valley Lutheran Hospital, Mesa.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Vernon Center, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
He is survived by his sister Emma Mack of Amboy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eldora; one half-sister and a half-brother.
He was born June 21, 1909, in Ceresco Township, Blue Earth County, to Thomas and Emma (Gerberding) Bowles. He grew up in Ceresco Township, where he attended rural District 14 schools. He married Eldora Pietsch on Aug. 15, 1930, at Lewisville. They lived and farmed the family farm until retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Vernon Center, where he served on church boards.

Loretta Kiecker, 89, of Fairfax, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Fairfax Community Home.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax, with burial in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cairo Township.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-11 a.m. Saturday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerome and Laura of Fairfax; daughter-in-law, Doris of Sleepy Eye; eight grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Hildegarde Kiecker, of Hopkins and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and a son, Reuben.
She was born March 5, 1911, in New Ulm, to Andrew and Elizabeth (Holm) Prokosch. She married Walter Kiecker on Jan. 2, 1930, in Fairfax. She worked at A.J. Pietrus & Sons in Sleepy Eye for 16 years. She and her husband later moved to Fairfax. She lived at Fairview Apartments and the Fairfax Community Home after her husband died.

Julius Weber, 90, of Springfield, formerly of Wanda, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. A Knights of Columbus and parish prayer service is 8 p.m. at the funeral home today. A men's rosary is 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathryn and Alfred Liebl of New Ulm, Doris of Springfield, Audrey and Michael Wagner of Sleepy Eye, Arlene and Edward Nelson of Clements and Judy and David Lipetzky of Springfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Colleen of New Ulm, Ralph and Judi and Larry and Marg, all of Sanborn, and Daniel of Wanda; 40 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Agnes Weber of Springfield, Ida Eichten of Wanda, Leona and Jerry Jenniges of Mendota Heights, Clarence and Magdalyn Steffensmeier of Morgan, and Gladys Steffensmeier and Rita Steffensmeier, both of Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard in 1938; three grandchildren; brothers, Frank, Edward, Otto, John, Vincent; twin brothers in infancy and a sister, Martha.
He was born June 20, 1910, in Wesley, Iowa, to Frank and Katherine (Fessler) Weber. He married Beatrice Steffensmeier on Nov. 13, 1934, in Morgan. They farmed in Burnstown Township near Springfield and Willow Lake Township. He helped organize the Wanda Co-op Creamery that merged with the New Ulm Creamery and later became part of Associated Milk Producers Inc. He served on the creamery board of directors. He was director of the Wanda Farmers Elevator for several years. He was a former member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda. He joined St. Raphael's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, Springfield, in 1991.

Gertrude 'Gertie' Clobes, 83, of 1014 6th N. St., New Ulm, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at the Oak Hills Living Center, New Ulm, from complications of cancer.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, and 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, and there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She is survived by a daugher and son-in-law, Karen and Steven Mueffelman of Oldsmar, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Pamela Clobes of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Myron Clobes of rural New Ulm, and Warren and Denise Clobes of Janesville, Wis.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Norbert Gleisner of Leesburg, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Alfred J. Brey of Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter J. Clobes on Jan. 30, 1988; a daughter, Mary Clobes on April 4, 1998; and sisters, Florence Altmann and Agnes Brey.
She was born Nov. 30, 1917, in West Newton Township, Nicollet County, to Andrew and Mary (Brey) Gleisner. She married Walter J. Clobes on Oct. 14, 1940, at the St. George Catholic Church, St. George. They farmed in Ridgely Township, Nicollet County until retirement in 1976 when they moved to New Ulm. She was a homemaker. She was a resident of the Oak Hills Living Center for the past six weeks.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the Christian Mother's Society, and St. Monica's Society, all in New Ulm. The family prefers memorials to the New Ulm Area Catholic Schools (NUACS).

Everetta Wenner, 95, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday and and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. A Parish Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and at St. Anne's CCW. A Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Clancy Aerts, both of Hart, Mich.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon Wenner of St. Petersburg, Fla; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Ralph Wenner in 1964; and sisters, Magdalen Wolf Macha and Mildred Wolf.
She was born Oct. 16, 1905, in Jordan to Francis X. and Elizabeth (Thill) Wolf. She married Dr. Ralph Wenner on June 25, 1932, in Jordan. They moved to Springfield in 1933. She taught primary grades, elementary music and ballroom dancing at St. Raphael's Catholic School. She belonged to St. Raphael's Catholic Church, St. Anne's CCW, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Comfrey Public School Education Association, the Teacher's Retirement Association, the Hospital Auxiliary and the church choir.
