Clara Anderson
Clara Anderson, 101, Lindsborg, Kansas, and formerly of Hayfield, died June 25, 1999 at the Bethany Home, Lindsborg.

She was born Jan. 24, 1898, in rural Sargeant, Mower Co., the daughter of Haldor and Ingeborg Berge. She married Carl Anderson on Nov. 14, 1920. After moving to Hayfield, she was active in Trinity Lutheran Church and senior citizens. She moved to Lindsborg in 1988 and into the Bethany Home in 1992.

She is survived by a daughter, Dolores Attleson, Lindsborg; eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews in the Cannon Falls area. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Eugene and Robert, two grandsons, one great grandson, four brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hayfield. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Hayfield. Memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church or Bethany Home.

Marie Endres
Marie C. Endres, 96, died at Our Lady of the Angels Care Center, Cannon Falls, on Friday, June 25, 1999.

She was born April 19, 1903, in Hampton Township, the daughter of Charles and Catherine Rother.

She married Peter Endres on June 17, 1926. He died May 21, 1999. She was a homemaker, and also baked pies for Little Oscar's Restaurant in Hampton.

She is survived by sons, Arnold (Cleo), Babbitt, and David (Darlene), Eagan; daughters Mary (Clifford) Frandrup, Randolph, and Helene (Terrance) Tri, Hastings; brother Carl (Dorothea) Rother, Cannon Falls; 20 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandchild, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Trier, Rev. Fr. Marvin Klaers and Valerius Messerich officiating. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, New Trier.

Pallbearers were Teisha Berger, Cheryl Endres, Cheri Frandrup, Shelly Kidd, Linda Laine-Alter, Susan Metcalf, Amy Peltier, Julie Tri, Bridgette Anderson, LuAnn Braun and Kathryn Lebewitz. Honorary pallbearers were Lois Bauer, Rosemary Lorentz, Alice Pasch, Kathleen Stein, Delores Kimmes, Jane Ludwig and Lenore Peine.

Oren Heath

Oren Elmer Heath, 76, Rochester, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.

He was born December 28, 1922 in Medford to Elmer and Sarah (McMartin) Heath. On June 5, 1945 Oren was united in marriage to Bernadeen Colleen Condon in Owatonna. He was a life-long resident of Rochester. Oren retired from Mayo Clinic-Rochester, where he was employed as a stock clerk for 33 years. Oren was a resident at Karrington Cottages in Rochester before moving to Pine Haven Care Center one year ago. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Elizabeth Harne and Evelyn Bailey.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Bernadeen Colleen (Condon) Heath of Rochester; seven children, Shirley Larson of Chatfield, Larry Heath of Rochester, Judy (Arnold) Abrahamson of Dodge Center, Beverley (Wayne) Harrington of Cannon Falls, Debbey (Ronald) Delaney of Red Wing, Bradley (Linda) Heath of Rochester, and Darcey Heath of Rochester. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Dean (Jenny) Fadness, Corey Fadness, Daniel Zeller, Anthony Delaney, Gregory Heath, Jessica Delaney, Nicholas Delaney, Kyle Heath, Kayla Heath and Kevyn Heath; one great-granddaughter Vanessa Delaney; two sisters, Pearl (Irving) Lueck of Owatonna and Alice (Edward) Jirele of Owatonna.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1 at the Hanson Funeral Home in Kenyon. Rev. Guy Redfield officiated. Interment was at Old Concord Cemetery in West Concord.

Oren and Bernadeen were so thankful for the assistance of the Rochester Area Red Cross during the flood of 1978, that in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Rochester Area Red Cross.

Marie Goudy
Marie Elizabeth Goudy, 90, Cannon Falls, died on Saturday evening, May 29, 1999 at Our Lady of the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls where she has been residing this past year.

Marie was born on October 3, 1908 in Stanton Township, the daughter of Nathaniel and Emma (Robinson) Goudy. She graduated in 1927 from Cannon Falls High School and then went on to nurses training at St. John's Hospital, retiring as nursing supervisor. She moved back to Cannon Falls in 1991.

Marie was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Cannon Falls. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in St. Paul. Marie enjoyed traveling, fishing, knitting and other crafts, and was an avid basketball fan.

She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Goudy of Cannon Falls; brother James Goudy of Cannon Falls; sister-in-law Dorothy Goudy of Austin; nephew James Goudy of Austin; niece Elizabeth (Richard) Alwes of Blooming Prairie; great nieces Thea Marie (Brandon) Day of Oronoco and Megan Alwes of Blooming Prairie; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Nathaniel and Francis Goudy.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Dr. Gary Titusdahl officiating. Interment was at the Stanton Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Kapp, James and Robert Goudy, Henry and Lowell "Dick" Daniels and Curtis Schmidt. Memorials are preferred to the church.

Cora Husbyn
Cora G. Husbyn, 98, Cannon Falls, died on Thursday morning, May 27, 1999 at Our Lady of the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.

Cora was born on September 5, 1900 in Goodhue County, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Soine) Brekke. She schooled in the Dennison area and later married Herman M. Husbyn on October 3, 1928 in Zumbrota. They resided in Dennison, Faribault and Nerstrand, prior to moving to Cannon Falls in the early 1950s. During this time she was a homemaker. She later worked for several years at Windy Acres, Home Cafe and the Cannonball, retiring at the age of 72 years. She and Herman enjoyed square dancing. Herman died on July 15, 1986.

Cora was an active member of the Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church where she was involved in the ladies aid, Bible study and sewing circle. She enjoyed cross-stitching.

She is survived by her children Doris Husbyn of Minneapolis and Dale Husbyn of Osakis; four grandchildren, Linda, Dean, David and Mark; four great-grandchildren, Shane, Jamie, Brittney and Paige; sisters-in-law Caroline Brekke of Frazee, Stella Loven, Nora Husbyn, Gladys Husbyn and Doris Husbyn, all of Cannon Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman; infant daughter Marie; three brother and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 29 at 2 p.m. at the Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott McLaughlin officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery

Memorials are preferred to donor's choice. Pallbearers were Dean, David, Mark and Shane Husbyn, Steve Loven and Dennis Husbyn.

Marion Gillispie
Marion August Gillispie, 85, Farmington and formerly of Inver Grove Heights and Stanton, died on Tuesday morning, June 1, 1999 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Drentlaw-Gillispie.

Arrangements are pending at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.

Inez Peterson

Inez Bertha Peterson, 96, Cannon Falls, died on Tuesday evening, May 11, 1999 at the Our lady of the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls, where she has been a resident for the past three years.

Inez was born on December 27, 1902 in Ainsworth, NE, the daughter of Martin and Dena (Rasmussen) Lauritsen. She grew up around Big Stone, met and married Archie W. Peterson on April 27, 1922 in Madison. They spent some years living in Wisconsin, later moving to Ortonville, where her husband worked in his father's ice and dray business. They made several moves before living in Glenwood. They operated the Lakeside Store on Lake Minnewaska for five years. Her husband later worked in Glenwood for the Polk county Highway Department until his retirement. Inez and Archie lived in Glenwood for nearly 40 years. In 1989, they moved to Cannon Falls and lived with their niece, Dena Stokke.

Archie died on September 7, 1991 in Cannon Falls.

She is survived by her sister, Verna Kunter of Colorado; and nieces and nephews, including local, Dena (Hank) Stokke of Cannon Falls. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Archie; two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service was held on Saturday at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Phillip Ruud officiating.

Active pallbearers were Maurice, Randy, Randy Jr. and Josh Karasch, Bill and Jason Otto and Gavin Hanson. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Otto, Clarence, Ken and Gregory Knutson, Leon Hanson and Chapin Mahoney.

Memorials are preferred to donor's choice. Interment was at Cannon Falls Cemetery.
