CALVIN

Frances M. Calvin, 65, Columbia, died Feb. 25, 2000, at her home.

She was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Curryville, a daughter of Ralph L. and Helen V. Lewellyn Saylor. She was married Dec. 7, 1956, in Boone County, to William Calvin, who survives at the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Kevin Calvin, Columbia; one daughter, Teresa "Terri" Quick, Columbia; three sisters, Carolyn Gruber, Columbia, Mary Kilbourn and Denise Link, both of  Jefferson City; one brother, Ralph W. Saylor, Kirksville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Columbia Community Nazarene Church. The Rev. William Calvin and the Rev. Chuck Barsamian will officiate. Burial will be in Woodcrest Cemetery, Ashland.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Nilson Funeral Home, Columbia, with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mark Diemer.

Memorials are suggested to Columbia Community Nazarene Church, 1900 Chapel Hill Rd., Columbia, Mo. 65203.

JACKSON

Ray L. Jackson, 46, Camdenton, died Feb. 24, 2000, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

He was born March 13, 1953, in St. Joseph, a son of George and Ida Adams Jackson. His mother survives in Camdenton. He was married Nov. 8, 1970, in Camdenton, to Vicki Hanks, who survives at the home.

A Navy veteran of Vietnam, he owned and operated a heating and air conditioner contracting business. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Camdenton.

Other survivors include: one son, Kenneth Jackson, Camdenton; three brothers, Owen Rogers, Southfield, Mich., Brian Jackson and Steven Jackson, both of Lee's Summit; two sisters, Carol Brim, St. Joseph, and June Townsend, Troy, Mich.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Clifford Canon will officiate. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to Lake Area People First, P.O. Box 753, Camdenton.

MURPHY

William Dale Murphy, 77, Fulton, died Feb. 24, 2000, at Fulton Presbyterian Manor.

He was born Feb. 8, 1923, in Webster County, a son of Henry and Gladys Hunt Murphy. He was married April 23, 1948, in  Jefferson City, to Bonnie Schneider, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran, he was an electrician at Central Electric Manufacturing. He was a member of Fulton VFW Post 2657 and Electrical Workers Local 257.

Other survivors include: one son, Dennis Murphy, Sturgeon; one daughter, Deborah Murphy, Spring, Texas ; four sisters, Mary Lou Atkinson, McCredie, Jerldean Pugh, Ruby Beatty and Kathleen Sprahue, all of Fulton; three brothers, Ned Murphy, Greenville, Ind., Donald Ray Murphy and John Murphy, both of Fulton; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to Fulton Presbyterian Manor.

BAER

Harold Lee Baer, 79, Harrisonville, died Feb. 25, 2000, at the V.A. Medical Center, Kansas City.

He was born May 3, 1920, in Moniteau County, a son of John C. and Anna Kiel Baer. He was married Nov. 20, 1961, in Kansas City, to Thelma Ellen Rodgers, who survives at the home.

He was owner-operator of Country Club Plumbing in Kansas City before retiring in 1970. He worked as a postmaster in Peculiar from 1975 to 1980.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, and a Mason of the Grandview Lodge, Kansas City. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite and Ararat Shrine, both in Kansas City. He belonged to the Cass County Shrine Club.

Other survivors include: two sons, Rex Baer, Harrisonville, and Roger Hubbard, Belton; two daughters, Patricia Brewer, Albany, Ore., and Patricia Hisic, Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Iola Hartman, California, Mo.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville. The Rev. Kyle Evans will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. Graveside services will follow in Moniteau Advent Cemetery north of California.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

BEMBOOM

Imogene F. Bemboom, 75,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 26, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Jan. 30, 1925, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Elmer and Cha-rlsie Snelling Martin. Her mo-ther survives in  Jefferson City. She was married Jan. 16, 1943, in St. Louis, to Joseph H. Bemboom, who died May 12, 1995.

A member of Immaculate Conception Church, she worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for more than 20 years.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Charlotte Hackman, Wilmington, N.C.; one son, Russ Bemboom,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Anne McDowell and Brenda Keyes, both of  Jefferson City; one brother, Kenneth Martin, Warrensburg; and two grandsons.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Greg Higley will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Taylor G. McDowell (son of Rick and Sally McDowell) Scholarship Fund, c/o  Jefferson City High School.

PATTEN

Alice Marie Patten, 62, St. Martins, died Feb. 25, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Oct. 11, 1937, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Wil-liam J. and Mary Henrietta Borg-meyer Kirkweg. She was married Feb. 20, 1960, in St. Elizabeth, to Linus Henry Patten, who survives at the home.

She was employed for several years with St. Marys Hospital and later worked in line production at Cargill in California for 20 years before retiring in 1998.

She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.

Other survivors include: three sons, Rick E. Patten, St. Joseph, Terry L. Patten, Taos, and Allen G. Patten, California; two daughters, Joyce M. Weider, Centertown, and Janet R. Moore, Russellville; six sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Alvera Holliday and Dolores Bax, all of  Jefferson City, Rosalie Hentges, California, Rita Braun, Centertown, and Delphine Toebben, Taos; three brothers, Cornelius Kirkweg, St. Elizabeth, Clarence Kirkweg,  Jefferson City, and Alfred Kirkweg, Centertown; and 10 grandchildren.

One grandson, Joshua Mitchell Moore, preceded her in death.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Masses or the American Cancer Society.

TRIPLETT

F. Glenn Triplett, 56, Fredericksburg, Va., formerly of  Jefferson City, died Feb. 24, 2000, at Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Va.

He was born July 9, 1943, in Hannibal, a son of Forrest and Virginia Triplett. His mother survives in  Louisiana, Mo. He was married April 21, 1963, in Warrenton, to Margaret R. Henderson, who survives at the home.

He was raised in the Clarksville and  Louisiana, Mo., area, before moving to  Jefferson City in 1972. He left  Jefferson City in 1987.

He worked at Pitney Bowes in St. Louis and  Jefferson City, but spent a majority of his career working for Westinghouse (now ABB) in  Jefferson City and Pittsburgh. He also worked as a trade show exhibitor for a firm in Virginia until his retirement.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church while living in  Jefferson City.

Other survivors include: one son, Charles Triplett, St. Louis; two daughters, Heather Biehl, Boston, and Amy Groetsch, Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren; and his grandmother, Ruby Rubemeyer,  Louisiana, Mo.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church,  Louisiana. Private burial will be in the cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), P.O. Box 13770, Richmond, Va. 23225-8770.

UFFELMAN

Lillian K. Uffelman, 88,  Jefferson City, formerly of Chamois, died Feb. 26, 2000, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born Sept. 9, 1911, in Chamois, a daughter of Samuel and Catherine Richard Henderson. She was married Dec. 17, 1932, to Elbert J. Uffelman, who died Oct. 1, 1989.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one daughter, Jane Bardwell, Chamois; one sister, Bertha Yeargain, Cahokia, Ill.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Joan Uffelman, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Ken Harland will officiate. Burial will be in Gasconade Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Gasconade Cemetery.

McKEE

Paul S. McKee,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 26, 2000, at Hospice of  Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.

He was born May 20, 1916, in Centertown, the son of Patrick H. and Lela Shannon McKee. He was married Sept. 13, 1941, in Grinnell, Iowa, to Dorothea K. Heidbreder, who survives at the home.

He was a 1934 graduate of Centertown High School and was a 1941 graduate of Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg. He received his masters degree in 1951 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a coach and school administrator for 37 years at several Mid-Missouri schools.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church,  Jefferson City, and a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association.

Other survivors include: three sons, Robert N. McKee, Cleveland, Ohio, Jerome D. McKee, Yorba Linda, Calif., and Rodney J. McKee, Clarkston, Wash.; one daughter, Peggy S. Vincent, Chapel Hill, N.C.; two brothers, Ralph McKee, Centertown, and Ronald McKee, Goleta, Calif.; two sisters, Marjorie McDaniel, Goleta, and Wanda Haworth, Centertown; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. David Scudder will officiate. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of  Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri, 601 E. High St.,  Jefferson City, MO 65101.
