MOHLER

Leola M. Mohler, 86, Lee's Summit, formerly of  Jefferson City, died Sept. 9, 2000, at Wilshire Lakewood Care Facility.

She was born Aug. 1, 1914, in Warrensburg, a daughter of Lee W. and Cora Emerson Hall. She was married June 26, 1934, to Arthur G. Mohler, who died June 18, 1998.

Survivors include: one daughter, Roberta Brown, Lone Jack; one son, James Mohler, Grayson, La.; one sister, Lula Mae Gallipeau, Sweethome, Ore.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg. The Rev. Dorothy Larimore will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

JENKINS

Mildred Jenkins, 89, Blue Springs, formerly of  Jefferson City, died Sept. 9, 2000, at Independence Health Care.

She was born Sept. 25, 1910, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Arnold and Catherine Pittrich Diedel. She was married to Carl Jenkins, who died in 1981.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Lorann Montgomery, Fayette, and Sue Bruckner, Blue Springs; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Masses at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Webb-Freer Funeral Home, Blue Springs.

McCOLLOM

Floyd H. McCollom, 82, Stover, died Sept. 8, 2000, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.

Arrangements are incomplete at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

CORRIGAN

Tabatha Lynn "Tabby" Corrigan, 15,  Jefferson City, died Sept. 8, 2000, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near California.

She was born Nov. 10, 1984, in Millington, Tenn., a daughter of James K. Jr. and Jeri Marie Fitzgerald Corrigan. Her father and stepmother, James K. Jr. and Laurie A. Corrigan, survive in Gulfport, Miss. Her mother, Jeri Marie Fitzgerald, survives in Ripley, Miss.

She attended Cedar Hill Elementary School and Lewis and Clark Middle School. She currently was a junior at Helias High School, where she was active in cheerleading, track and field, the LaSallion Youth Group and the Rainbows.

She was a volunteer at St. Marys Health Center from 1997 to 1999. She also volunteered at the YMCA Summer Camp in 1999.

Other survivors include: four half sisters, Jessica Corrigan, Cynthia Corrigan and Patricia Corrigan, all of Gulfport, and Joy Corrigan, Ripley; one half brother, Tommy Fitzgerald, Ripley; paternal grandmother, Shirley P. Corrigan, of the home; maternal grandparents, Shirley Elam and Richard Fitzgerald, both of Ripley; and paternal great-grandmother, Blanche M. Corrigan,  Jefferson City.

Services for parents, faculty and students will be at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at Helias High School Field House. Services also will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation.

BAGLEY

Marie Evelyn Krebs Bagley, 81, Mokane, died Sept. 9, 2000, at Riverview Nursing Center, Mokane.

She was born Sept. 23, 1918, a daughter of Gottlieb and Elsie Malcolm Krebs. She was married June 10, 1944, in Harrison, Ark., to Jewell Bagley, who died Sept. 10, 1974.

She wrote for The Missourian. She was a member of Mokane Methodist Church and Mokane Chapter 352 Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include: two nieces, Dora Smart, New Melle, and Helen Montgomery, New Bloomfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Bruce Bernard will officiate. Burial will be in Steedman Cemetery, Steedman.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Mokane Methodist Church Building Fund.

SCHMIDT

Frank J. Schmidt, 92, Loose Creek, died Sept. 9, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Frankenstein, a son of Joseph and Helen Kever Schmidt. He was married to Legora Strickland, who died Sept. 11, 1976. He was married April 15, 1978, in Loose Creek, to Nelda Mae Rustemeyer, who survives at the home.

He was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek, Carpenter's Local 945 and the Cattlemen's Association.

Other survivors include: two stepdaughters, Renilda Kliethermes, Loose Creek, and Shirley Ann Cotter, Belton; one sister, Clara Maassen, St. Louis; five grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 16 step great-grandchildren.

One son, John R. Schmidt, died Aug. 20, 1997. One stepdaughter, Bertha Rhoads, died April 1, 1997.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek. The Rev. Gregory Meystrik will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Church Cemetery, Linn.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

SEIGLER

Mable Seigler, 77, Dixon, died Sept. 9, 2000, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.

She was born May 14, 1923, in Stickney, a daughter of Emory and Frana Roberson Bull. She was married Jan.3, 1942, in Vienna, to Daniel Herndon Seigler, who died May 11, 1999.

She was a member of Kenner Church of God, near Dixon.

Survivors include: two sons,, Daniel H. Seigler Jr., Bay Shore, N.Y., and Franklin E. Seigler, Dixon; three daughters, Carolyn Wall, Beverly Avgeros and Mary Ann Polizzi, all of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; one brother, Alvin Bull, Dixon; two sisters, Evelyn Rolls, Excelsior Springs, and Polly Johnson, Odessa, Texas ; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Paul Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Kenner Cemetery, near Dixon.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Dixon.

SMITH

Services were today for Clarence LaVerne Smith, 81, who died Sept. 8, 2000, at Stockton Nursing Home, Stockton.

He was born Aug. 30, 1919, in Numa, Iowa, a son of Clarence M. And Maude E. Compton Smith. He was married March 3, 1939, to Marcella Porter, who died Feb. 17, 1987.

He was a graduate of Guthrie Center High School, Guthrie Center, Iowa. He worked in coal mines and at a steel foundry in Davenport, Iowa. He operated a five and dime Store in Eddyville, Iowa. In 1975, he moved to Columbia and opened a coin and stamp store. After retirement, he moved to the Lake area.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Versailles and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sandra Haimerl, Fort Scott, Kan., and Laura Springer, Ottawa, Kan.; one brother, Kenneth Smith, Salina, Okla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. The Rev. John C. Durling officiated.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the World War II Memorial Fund.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allee Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

WELLS

Donald E. Wells Sr., 72, Camdenton, died Sept. 9, 2000, at his home.

He was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Chicago, a son of Charles R. and Martha Bassiler Wells. He was married Nov. 5, 1947, in Truman, Ark., to Dolores M. Jennings, who survives at the home.

A former Decatur, Ill., resident, he owned and operated Don's Tavern, Decatur, for 37 years.

Other survivors include: four sons, Donald E. Wells Jr., Duane S. Wells, Danny T. Wells, and Douglas T. Wells, all of Decatur; one daughter, Debby S. Maxwell, Decatur; and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dawson-Wikoff Funeral Home, Decatur. Pastor Mark Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, Ill.

Visitation will be from noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

DAHMS

H. Jack Dahms, 76,  Jefferson City, died Sept. 10, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Byron, a son of Herbert W. and Flora Kruger Dahms. He was married Aug. 29, 1948, in Bland, to Gladys M. Young, who survives at the home.

A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, he attended school in rural Osage County. He joined Missouri Power & Light Company in 1946 as a line serviceman. In 1967, he moved to Linn to serve as district superintendent, retiring in 1982. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of VFW Post 4756, Linn. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a charter member of Osage County Country Club. He served as president of the Bland Board of Education and was a former city alderman and acting mayor of Bland.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Denise K. Rodden,  Jefferson City, and Deborah A. Dahms, Holts Summit; two sisters, Marilyn Kottwitz, Bland, and Marjorie West, Chesapeake, Va.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Doyle Sager and the Rev. David Phelps will officiate. Graveside services with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
