LYNN

Forrestine Smith Lynn, 83, Corpus Christi, Texas , formerly of  Jefferson City, died June 12, 2001.

She was born in Richmond, Mo., a daughter of former Gov. and Mrs. Forrest Smith. She was married in 1946 to Arthur Dare Lynn, who survives.

She attended school in  Jefferson City and graduated from the University of Missouri.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Kappa Alpha Theta alumni, United Methodist Women, Lantana Garden Club, Monday Forum and Twenty-One Study Club.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Mary Josephine Kaufman and Elizabeth Louise Lynn; one sister, Mary Josephine Teterus, and two grandchildren.

Services were held June 15 at First United Methodist Church.

SMITH

Kathi Ann Smith, 19,  Jefferson City, died July 8, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Dec. 29, 1981, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Jess W. and Judy K. Reed Smith. Her parents survive in  Jefferson City.

A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, she attended Cole County R-5 School, Eugene. She was employed at Break Time Convenience Store.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Kurt Prenger, Jacksonville, Fla., and Doug Albert,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Michelle R. Albert,  Jefferson City, and Kristin Trenary, Barnett; and maternal grandparents, John and Catherine Reed,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

STEWART

Helene W. Stewart, 91,  Jefferson City, died July 8, 2001, at Capital Health Care Nursing Center.

She was born May 20, 1912, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Richard and Emma Benke Williams. She was married Nov. 29, 1935, in Perry, Okla., to Maurice L. Stewart, who died Jan. 21, 1992.

A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, she graduated from  Jefferson City public schools and attended  Jefferson City Junior College.

She was employed with the Missouri Governor's Office during the terms of Gov. Phil Donnelly, Gov. James Blair and Gov. John Dalton. She was a secretary for Judge Robert Welborn of the Missouri Supreme Court until her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the  Jefferson City Public Schools Alumni Association. She received the  Jefferson City Public School Distinguished Alumni Award in 1982.

Survivors include: two nieces, Mara Kay Beck, Santa Fe, N.M., and Carolyn Field, Topfield, Mass; and one nephew, Bill Stewart, El Zerrito, Calif.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

TAYLOR

Services were today for Dylan Bradley Taylor, infant son of Chad and Michelle Donathan Taylor, who was stillborn July 6, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

His parents survive in Macks Creek.

Other survivors include: maternal grandparents, Gary and Debbie Donathan, Macks Creek; paternal grandparents, Larry and Judy Taylor, Macks Creek; maternal great-grandmother, Julie Collins, Macks Creek; maternal grandfather and step grandmother, Ralph and Dorothy Donathan, Springfield, Tenn.; maternal great-grandparents, Carl and Jackie Flanery, Citrus Hill, Calif.; maternal great-great-grandmother, Vera Brink, Lincoln, Calif.; paternal great-grandmother, Peggy Clopp, Macks Creek; and paternal great-grandparents, John and Olive Taylor, Macks Creek.

Services were at First Baptist Church, Macks Creek. The Rev. Terry Gentry Sr. officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.

ROBERTSON

Katherine L. Robertson, 81,  Jefferson City, died July 9, 2001, at  Jefferson City Manor Nursing Center.

She was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Centertown, a daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Koegler Witthaus. She was married Nov. 9, 1940, in Montgomery City, to William Harold Robertson, who survives.

A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she attended school in Jamestown. She worked at the Oberman Shoe Factory and later with the Department of Social Services until her retirement.

She was a member of the Central United Church of Christ and was active in the church bazaar.

Services and entombment will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The Rev. Stephen Buchholz will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

FLOYD

John Harold "J.H." Floyd, 88, Versailles, died July 8, 2001, at Capital Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 13, 1912, in Linn Creek, a son of Leonard L. and Emma Richards Floyd. He was married April 1, 1934, to Genevieve Lutman, who died Jan. 9, 1990. He was married in 1993 to Lucille Eskridge, who survives at the home.

He graduated from Versailles High School in 1931. He farmed in the Versailles area until he moved to Platte City in 1951. He farmed until his retirement and returned to Versailles in 1979. He was a member of United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Emily Miller, Mission Hills, Calif., and Sheila Maser, Pearl River, La.; three stepsons, Michael Arnold, Annapolis, Md., Stephen Arnold, Weatherby Lake, and Earnest Arnold, Bethel, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.

One daughter, Margo Hampton, and one grandchild preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Kan.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to Versailles United Methodist Church.

HEALD

Paul Everett Heald, 78, Sunrise Beach, died July 8, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Jan. 8, 1923, in St. Joseph, a son of Gordon E. and Etta Becker Heald. He was married Aug. 11, 1943, to Marcia McSpadden, who survives at the home.

He had lived in Topeka, Kan., and was a Navy veteran. He moved to Kansas City in 1967 and was employed as a electrical superintendent for the Kansas City Water Department until retiring after 18 years. He then moved to the Lake.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion of Laurie.

Other survivors include: two sons, Doug Heald, Sunrise Beach, and Mike Heald, Topeka, Kan.; one daughter, Diane Mulroy, Loveland, Colo.; two brothers, Gordon Heald and Mark Heald, both of Topeka; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Private family services will be in Allee Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the Lake Regional Hospital Foundation or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

MARTIN

Services were today for Robbie Martin, 56, Dixon, who died July 8, 2001, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, Springfield.

She was born Feb. 23, 1945, in Knoxville, Tenn., a daughter of Jesse and Pearl Branson Talley. She was married Aug. 23, 1972, in Lake City, Tenn., to Walter Martin, who survives in Rolla.

She was a member of High Point Church of God, Dixon, and was a secretary for the Army and Air Force Exchange.

Other survivors include: one brother, Fred Roberts, Clinton, Tenn.; and one sister, Evelyn Ficke, Hemet, Calif.

Services were at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. James D. Bailey officiated. Burial was in Dixon Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to High Point Church of God, Dixon.

McDOW

Robert E. McDow, 89,  Jefferson City, died July 9, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born June 23, 1912, in Easley, a son of James A. and Chloe Garrett McDow. He was married Aug. 31, 1935, in Boonville to Jewell Lee Daly, who preceded him in death. He was married in June 1983 in Hermann, to Pat Hohman, who survives at the home.

He was a carpenter for 60 years and a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 945. He was of the Baptist faith.

Other survivors include: one son, Ira Emerson McDow, California; one daughter, Joy B. Skinner, Quitman; two stepchildren; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. The Rev. Don Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 30638, Columbia, Mo. 65205 or the Wolfner Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, 600 W. Main,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.

TIGHE

John Anthony Tighe, 70, Thornten, Colo., died June 4, 2001, in Denver.

He was born April 9, 1931, in Crocker, a son of John and Electa Kay Tighe. He was married Dec. 29, 1976, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Mary Jeanette Wogan, who died Nov. 30, 1999.

He graduated from Francis Howell High School, Weldon Springs. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He taught diesel mechanics.

Survivors include: one son, Roger Tighe, Thornten; three sisters, Theresa Talbot, Carlsbad, Calif., Frances Delaquil, Warrenton, and Mary Dunlop, Crane; one brother, David Tighe, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and one grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Holts Summit. The Rev. Fred Elskamp will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
