RUSSEL
Gordon R. Russel Jr., 33, Rocky Mount, died Nov. 16, 2002, in Kaiser.
He was born Oct. 23, 1969, in Columbia, a son of Gordon Sr. and Cheryl Bobbitt Russel, who survive in Rocky Mount.
Other survivors include: two sons, Kassey Russel, Rocky Mount, and Kody Russel, Jefferson City; one daughter, Cheyenne Russel, Rocky Mount; one brother, Raymond Russel, Patton; paternal grandmother, Romina Russel, Holts Summit; maternal grandparents, Frank and Alice Bobbitt, Beaver City, Neb.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. The Rev. Kenneth Campbell will officiate. The body will be cremated.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
SCRIVNER
Maude M. Scrivner, 87, Sanford, N.C., formerly of Jefferson City, died Nov. 16, 2002, at Parkview Retirement Center in Sanford.
She was born Aug. 21, 1915, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Asa and Fannie Copeland Rowden. She was married in 1931, in Tuscumbia, to Joseph L. Sears, who died in 1956. She was married May 3, 1958, in Jefferson City, to Forrest Scrivner, who died Dec. 14, 1997.
A resident of the Jefferson City area until 1998, she worked for the Missouri Department of Agriculture for 25 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Jefferson City.
Survivors include: one son, Terry J. Sears, Sanford, N.C.; three stepbrothers, Buell Hutchinson, Jefferson City, Joe Hutchinson, Brumley, and Paul Hutchinson, state of Missouri; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
SNYDER
Lena Ann Snyder, 75, Eldridge, died Nov. 14, 2002, at her home.
She was born March 21, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Thomas and Luciel Barker Winegar. She was married May 29, 1943, in Chicago, to Orville Snyder, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Orville Snyder, Lee's Summit; two daughters, Brenda Evans, Labette City, Kan., and Donna Garrett, Eldridge; two brothers, Nephi "Bob" Winegar, Lebanon, and Ammon Winegar, state of Washington ; one sister, Dorothy Heather, Sugar Creek; one half-brother, Charles Hobin, state of Washington ; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Pastor John Angst will officiate. Burial will at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Missouri National Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday.
SPARGO
William James "Bill" Spargo Sr., 81, Mexico, formerly of Jefferson City, died Nov. 17, 2002, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Sept. 13, 1921, in St. Louis, a son of William J. and Ethel Newell Jacquemin Spargo.
He moved to Jefferson City in 1981 from Annapolis, and then to Mexico in 1997. He was a self-employed automobile dealer for 50 years and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: two sons, James William Spargo, Mexico, and William James Spargo Jr., Fenton; one daughter, Shirley Hannah, Camdenton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Parklawn Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Pickering Funeral Home, Mexico.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
ASKIN
Services were Monday for Nora Ann Askin, 76, Sunrise Beach, who died Nov. 14, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System.
She was born Oct. 10, 1926, in County Mayo, Ireland, a daughter of Austin and Annie McMara Frazer. She was married April 23, 1955, to Joseph F. Askin, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Laurie, and the Osage Community Lady Elks.
Other survivors include: two sons, Joseph Askin, Parkville, and John Askin, Oklahoma City; one daughter, Gina Lundberg, Boone, Iowa; one brother, four sisters and four grandchildren.
Services were at the Shrine of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. Msgr. Gerard Poelker officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
GRAY
Eddie H. Gray, 62, Jefferson City, died Nov. 18, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Beckley, W.Va., a son of Hubert and Dorothy Painter Gray. He was married Feb. 15, 1981 in Cedar City, to Yvonne M. Bugbee, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated Eddie Gray's Auto Body for 20 years. He previously worked for Ewers Tires and Precision Machine in Jefferson City. He was an evangelist and a race car driver for many years.
Other survivors include: two sons, Cameron Lupkey and Ed Harrison, both of Jefferson City; two brothers, Forrest Gray, Beckley, W. Va., and Don Gray, Norfolk, Va.; and one sister, Ann Smith, Beckley, W. Va.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City.
The Rev. Brad Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to Shiloh Methodist Church.
HEALEY
Michele Healey, 40, Los Angeles, died Oct. 21, 2002.
She was born Aug. 5, 1962, in Columbia, a daughter of Dr. William and Phyllis Healey, who survive in Las Vegas.
She lived in Jefferson City from 1962-1965. She received a degree in political science and psychology from the University of Arizona in 1986 and graduated from George Mason University School of Law, Arlington, Va., in 1989. She served as a legislative intern for the late U.S. Rep. Morris Udall. She worked with the National Marketing Association; Gibson, Dunn, and Crutcher International law firm and Merrill Lynch. She was a specialist in high technology and held legal and management positions with The Geosphere Project and Sonic Foundry prior to becoming president of the company she founded in 2001, American Communications Network.
Other survivors include one sister, Melissa Smith, Richland, Wash., and one grandmother, Annabelle Finger, North Carolina.
Private services will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Abbott-Hast Funeral Home, Los Angeles.
JUDD
Gary L. Judd, 64, Jefferson City, died Nov. 17, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born June 13, 1938, in Ottawa, Kan., a son of Arlie E. Sr. and Pauline Munsinger Judd. His mother survives in Higbee. He was married Aug. 19, 1960, in Mexico, to Rebekah J. McCoy, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Mexico High School and was a resident of the Jefferson City area since 1973. He worked for the Missouri Office of Administration as state printer for the past 33 years. He was a member of the Southridge Baptist Church.
He was a charter member of the National State Publishing Association, serving as Midwestern region director from 1989-1990 and as treasurer in 1992, vice president in 1993 and president in 1994. He was the conference chair for the annual meeting in Kansas City and served various committees of the organization. He was a committee member of the Second State Capitol Commission; was the Office of Administration employee of the month in March, 1984, and was a member of the In-plant Printing Management Association, serving on the editorial advisory board in 2002. He was a member of the graphic arts advisory board for the Moberly Area Community College. He served in the Missouri Army National Guard from 1958-1964.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Jody L. Thomas, Jill C. Hansen and Jennifer B. Judd, all of Jefferson City; one brother, Arlie E. Judd Jr., Ft. Worth, Texas ; one sister, Phyllis C. Hall, Higbee; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Jim Walker and the Rev. Jim Shaver will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Music Fund at Southridge Baptist Church.
