STOCK
Esther Louise Stock, 87, Boonville, died Feb. 11, 2003, in Boonville.
She was born Oct. 19, 1915, in Prairie Home, a daughter of Emil and Sophie Marie Kaiser Klatt. She was married April 6, 1947, to George Ransberger, who died July 18, 1978. She was married Nov. 11, 1980, to Elmer Stock, who died Nov. 21, 1991.
A lifetime resident of Cooper County, she graduated from Boonville High School in 1935. She worked at Selwyn Shoe Factory and the Missouri Training School for Boys. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: two stepsons, Ed Stock, Jefferson City, and Elmer Stock Jr.; three stepdaughters, Jane Stuart, Betty Yeager, and Yvonne Coleman; one sister, Viola Hein, Boonville; 10 step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jerry Riggert will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Thacher Funeral Home, Boonville. Additional visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid.
ROSENMAN
Bea Rosenman, 82, Ottumwa, Iowa, died Feb. 11, 2003, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born Aug. 11, 1920, Otley, Iowa, a daughter of John and Cornelia Kleinendorst Leydens. She was married in 1964 to Eli Rosenman, who survives.
She was president of Rosenman's Inc. She was a member of the Ottumwa Airport Advisory Board and of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was an adviser for the Ottumwa Public Library Board and treasurer of Hadassah. She was one of the first women in the Midwest to fly in the Powder Puff Derby. She endowed scholarships at several colleges.
Other survivors include one brother, Harold L. Leydens, Jefferson City, and one sister, Jenella Hull, Holts Summit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Reece Funeral Home, Ottumwa. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Pella, Iowa.
Memorials are suggested to the Ottumwa Public Library, the Indian Hills Community College Foundation or Ottumwa Regional Health Foundation.
BUECHLER
Joseph A. "Joe" Buechler, 67, Freeburg, died Feb. 15, 2003, at the Westphalia Retirement Center.
He was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Freeburg, a son of Alois and Cecilia Kloeppel Buechler.
He was a farmer in Osage county.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, the Cattleman's Association and the Knights of Columbus Council 9700.
Survivors include three sisters, Carol Sandbothe, Jefferson City, Martha Kliethermes, Westphalia, and Mary Ann Wildhaber, Freeburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Fr. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the Holy Family Church restoration fund, the hospice of the donor's choice or masses.
MURDOCK
Michael Joe "Micky" Murdock, 41, Gravois Mills, died Feb. 14, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 14, 1961, in Salinas, Calif., a son of Nolan E. and Myrtle L. Anderson Murdock, who survive in Gravois Mills.
He was a produce manager at Albertsons in the state of Texas and the Laurie Market.
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael J. Murdock and Justin S. Murdock, both of Wichita Falls, Texas ; one daughter, Victoria L. Murdock, Wichita Falls; and two brothers, James E. Murdock and Herbie L. Murdock, both of Gravois Mills.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel.
BUMGARNER
Norma E. Bumgarner, 90, of Gravois Mills, died Feb. 13, 2003, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Harrisonville, a daughter of Henry and Mary Norman Dickinson. She was married June 30, 1934, to Earl Bumgarner, who died Sept. 14, 1994.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Richard Bumgarner, Gravois Mills; one daughter, Patricia Dahl, Billings, Mont.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Allison, who died Aug. 26, 1999.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie. The Rev. Jerry Piker will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Opened Door Christian Fellowship Building Fund in Laurie.
MILLER
William David Miller, 90, of Gravois Mills, died Feb. 14, 2003, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.
He was born July 30, 1912, in Winslow, Ark., the son of Oda S. and Hattie Pearl Guinn Miller. He was married May 29, 1940, in Kansas City, to Mattie Lee Williams, who survives at the home.
He worked at the General Motors Leeds Plant in Kansas City for several years and later was co-owner of Miller Brothers Sinclair Service Station in Northeast Kansas City. He owned and operated Millers Shady Rest Resort near Laurie for about 12 years prior to retirement.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #5178 in Gravois Mills, the Methodist Church and 50-year member of the Northeast Sheffield Masonic Lodge in Kansas City.
Other survivors include: one brother, Charles (Chuck) Miller of Versailles; and five sisters, Kathleen Williams and Lilah Riddle of Lancaster, Calif., Pearl Patten, St. Croix, Wis., Gloria Coats and Nita McMann, both of Albuquerque.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. The Rev. Jim Lawley will officiate. Military honors and burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.
A Masonic Service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by visitation from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested the charity of the donor's choice.
MILLER
Rollin Gene "Ronnie" Miller, 67, Camdenton, died Feb. 11, 2003, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
He was born Aug. 22, 1935, near Stoutland, a son of Rozel J. and Cora Crabtree Miller. He was married May 12, 1957, to Billie Max Parish, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in Stoutland in 1953. He co-owned and co-operated B and M Manufacturing Company, Camdenton, for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Camdenton, where he served as a deacon. He served on the board of directors of First National Bank and was a past member of the board of trustees at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar. He served as a city councilman in Camdenton and on the Camdenton school board for several years.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Ronda Samuelson, Camdenton, Sondra "Sonnie" Blair, Buffalo, and Stacey Ruder, Springfield; four sisters, Berniece Hillhouse, Austin, Texas , Verberie Joyce, St. Louis, Corriene Starks, Richland, and Forrestine Clark, Fort Collins, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Aubuchon will officiate. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at Allee-Holman Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Additional visitation will be from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the church.
MORTON
Lonell Oliver Morton Sr., 76, Wellsville, died Feb. 11, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born May 31, 1926, in Danville, a son of Ellis O. and Lucinda Baker Morton. He was married to Susie Mozee. He was married to Corrine Connor Morton, who died Sept. 3, 1997.
He attended schools in the Danville area and Montgomery City High School. He worked for New Florence Lumber Yard. He worked for Montgomery County for several years and retired from LaCrosse Lumber Company. He was a member of Harper's Chapel United Methodist Church, Montgomery City. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: one son, Joseph Morton, Jefferson City; two daughters, Ethel Mathews, Troy, and Robyne Mahaney, Montgomery City; his twin sister, Fontell Logan, Danville; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Lonell Oliver Morton Jr., died in 1977.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Harper's Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Russ Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Montgomery City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Schlanker Funeral Home, Montgomery City.
