PIERCE

Shalynn Pierce, 15, of Dixon, died Friday, April 11, 2003 at Cox Hospital in Springfield.

She was born May 18, 1987 at Rolla, a daughter of Scottie and Starletta Belvins Pierce. She attended Dixon R-1 High School, was Little Miss Missouri Sweetheart, enjoyed softball and soccer and was a talented artist.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2003 in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, with Pastor Helen Winters officiating. Interment in Pisgah Cemetery, Dixon.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 and 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2003 in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.

RICHARDSON

Peggy Lou Richardson, 75,  Jefferson City, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at her home.

She was born May 27, 1927, in Marion, Kansas, a daughter of Floyd Leonard and Helen Marie Manahan Eilerts.

She was a 1945 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Kansas and a 1948 graduate of the Cadet Nursing Program at Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Hutchison, Kansas. She was married August 14, 1948, in Hutchison, Kansas to John Kennett "Jack" Richardson, who survives at the home.

She worked for the  Jefferson City Public Schools as a Registered Nurse for fourteen years and the Melville School District in St. Louis, Missouri as a Registered Nurse for eleven years. She also previously worked for St. Lukes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri; Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and Bernard Nursing Home. She also worked in private duty nursing, school nursing and camp nursing, where she served a number of years at Rickman Center and was a Christian Regional Youth Nurse. She was a member of Community Christian Church for twenty-eight years, where she was also a member of the Church Choir. She was also a member of the Lioness Club; the Retired Teachers Association and the Lincoln Investment Club.

She is also survived by one son: Mark Douglas Richardson of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter: Lori Lou Raithel of  Jefferson City; one brother: William Lee Eilerts of Costa Mesa, California; one sister: Darlene Elizabeth Anderson of Collinsville,  Oklahoma and four grandchildren; Ashley D. Richardson, Blake K. Richardson, Alyssa P. Richardson and Connor D. Raithel. She was preceded in death by a son: Craig Kennett Richardson; two sisters and three brothers.

Friends will be received from 5:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors  Jefferson City Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2003, at the Community Christian Church, with Rev. David Avery officiating. A Private Family Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Community Christian Church, or to  Jefferson City High School for Nursing Scholarship in Memory of Peggy L. Richardson. Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors  Jefferson City Chapel, 2613 West Main Street; 636-3838.

FLIEGER

Clifford Raymond Flieger, age 77, of Tipton, MO died at his home on April 14, 2003.

He was born in St. Louis, MO on Oct. 8, 1925, the son of Emil & Clara Kissler Flieger. He married Melba Duncan on June 24, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. She survives in Tipton.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2003 at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, MO. The Rev. Harold Nicks will officiate. Burial will be in the Syracruse Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at the Funeral Home.

HUFFENDICK

Dorothy M. Huffendick, 88, of Salem, OR, and formerly of California, MO passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003.

She was born May 21, 1914 in Centertown, MO the daughter of Benjamin Harvey and Hattie West Stark who preceded her in death. She was married April 16, 1940 in Carrollton, MO to Arthur J. Huffendick who preceded her in death.

She worked at various rural schools in Missouri and California R-1 School as a teacher and teacher's aide for 29 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church, California, MO. She graduated from Centertown High School and received a teaching certificate from Central Missouri State Teachers College.

Survivors include 6 daughters: Carol Huffendick of Salem, OR, Mary Varcoe of Salem, OR, Julia Thomas of Wilsonville, OR, Nancy Schmidt of Rowley, MA, Debbie Arnold of Bend, OR and Cathy Hight of Centralia, MO; 1 son Jim Huffendick of Salem, OR; 1 sister, Irene Garnett of Centertown, MO; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Johnny Huffendick.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Friday, April 18, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Morrow and Elder Danny Hight. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery, California, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2003, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimers Association, Mid-Missouri Chapter, 1121 Business Loop 70 East, Columbia, MO 65201 or First Baptist Church-Building Fund, 208 South Oak Street, California, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO.

ROBINSON

Ann E. Robinson, 93, Waterloo, IL, formerly of  Jefferson City, MO & North Ft. Myers, FL, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Canterbury Manor Nursing Center, Waterloo, IL.

She was born August 8, 1909, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Edward & Caroline Turbett nee Van Houten.

She was married to Delmar L. Robinson, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Robinson was retired.

Survivors include: a daughter, Phyllis (Frank D.) Bollinger of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren, Tom (Janice) Bollinger, Diane (Jim) Weihrauch, Sue (Tom) Farr, Ann (Steve) Winterowd, Patti Bollinger; great grandchildren, Tom Jr., John, Bill, and Jill Bollinger, Joseph Weihrauch and Allison Farr.

She was preceded her in death by her parents, her husband, son Jack Robinson, a sister and three brothers.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2003 at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, IL with Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery,  Jefferson City, MO.

Memorials suggested to SS Peter & Paul School Building Fund.

ROSE

Delmar F. Rose, age 75, of Sunrise Beach, MO died Monday morning, April 14, 2003, at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Delmar was married on February 8, 1947 to Dolores Thompson, a US Army Veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge No.152, he owned & operated the Bass Point Resort in the Sunrise Beach, Mo. area.

He is survived by his wife: Dolores Rose, of the home, one son: Buddy Rose and wife Candy, of Gravois Mills, Missouri; one daughter: D'anne Ellis and husband Dan of Camdenton, Missouri; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Masonic services will be held Wednesday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Entombment will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Jr. Golf League c/o Dogwood Hills Golf Course, 1252 Rt. KK, Osage Beach, MO 65065. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.

SIDEBOTTOM

Allen G. Sidebottom, 67, of  Jefferson City, died April 14, 2003 at his home.

He was born March 23, 1936, in Gravois Mills, a son of Charles H. and Martha G. Bolser Sidebottom. He was married to Pauline Marriott who preceded him in death.

He retired from Florsheim Shoe Company,  Jefferson City.

He is survived by one sister, Thelma Williams, Versailles.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles. Internment will be in Versailles Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.

DAVIDSON

Clyde Davidson, 81, of  Jefferson City died Friday, April 18, 2003 .

He is survived by his wife; Betty Davidson of  Jefferson City, MO, 5 children: 5 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Spencer Funeral Home in Salem, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Spencer Funeral Home.

ROBY

Ola Roby, 96, Holts Summit, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at her nieces home in Holts Summit.

Arrangements are pending with Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, 540 South Summit Drive; 896-5959.

FISCHER

Florence Elizabeth Fischer, 87, of  Jefferson City, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1916 in Meta, the daughter of Stephen and Christina Schanzmeyer Luebbert.

She was married on April 8, 1940 in Meta to Elliott William Fischer who died on Sept. 27, 1997.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include a daughter: Mary E. Fischer,  Jefferson City; a brother: Francis Luebbert, Meta; and two sisters: Marie Bacon,  Jefferson City, and Dorothy Donehue, Enid,  Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond Luebbert and Henry Luebbert; and a sister, Clara Lock.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

DILLINGHAM

Mary Lou Dillinghan, 70, of Eldon, died April 19, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Arrangements are at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
