Peoples
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Hilbert Peoples, 65, of Greenville, a retired foreman, will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. He died July 26, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville.
Mr. Peoples was born May 20, 1938, to Louis and Bessie Bruce Peoples in Grace, Miss. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Peoples Sr.; two brothers, Louis Peoples Jr. and Jeffery Peoples; and three sons, Johnny Peoples, Hilbert Peoples and Anthony Peoples.
Survivors include his mother, Bessie B. Peoples of Greenville; three sons, Michael Johnson of Greenville, Kevin (Tracy) Peoples of San Diego, Calif., and Derek W. Peoples of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Carla Peoples and Kimberly Mills, both of Greenville; one sister, Nettie P. (Fred) Cummings of Richmond, Calif.; four brothers, Andrew (Sherry) Peoples, Frank Peoples, Thomas Peoples and Bennie Peoples, all of Greenville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one uncle; six aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral home chapel, Greenville.
Pastor Charles E. Bass will officiate.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Roberta Tubwell, 83, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died July 30, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

CLEVELAND -- Funeral arrangements for Isabelle "Bell" Christian, 87, of Cleveland, are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. She died Aug. 25, 2001, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.
Cire
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Susie Pearce Cire, 98, a retired homemaker, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Aug. 25, 2001, at Mississippi Care Center, Greenville. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
Cire was born in Clay County. She had lived in Greenville since 1926. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenville. She was the former manager of the old Paramount Theater during WWII.
Cire was preceded in death by husbands, Rene Cire and Leon Richard Schoonover, and two sons, Fred Lewis Schoonover and Eugene Pearce Schoonover.
Survivors include one son, Ray Richard Schoonover of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home in Greenville.

Gower
LELAND -- Funeral services for Joseph Wilburn "JoJo" Gower, 62, of Leland, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. He died Aug. 26, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, of heart failure. Burial will follow in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Gower was a native of Leland, where he graduated from Leland High School. He was employed at Moso Screw Mfg. as a machinist and later with Westinghouse-Ocean Research and Engineering Co. in Annapolis, Md., and in Austin, Texas. He made his home in the Dallas, Texas, area where he was employed with Otis Engineering before he became a truck driver with Frozen Foods Express and Jim Dandy Trucking. He was a member of the Bogue Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Hiram Lodge No. 107 since 1969.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph W. "Lyle" Gower III.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele G. Glaser of Dekalb, Ill., and Elizabert G. Balascio of Aubrey, Texas; a son, Danny Ray Gower of Jackson, Tenn.; a stepson, James E. Grubbs of Celina, Texas; his mother, Dorothy Caudle Gower of Leland; a sister, Louise G. Etheridge of Leland; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral home in Leland.
Neese
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Linda Neese, 43, of Greenville, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville. She died Aug. 25, 2001, of heart failure. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
Neese was born March 17, 1958, in Attala County to Haywood and Beatrice McDaniel. She moved to Forest, Miss., at an early age where she attended Forest Public Schools. She has been a resident of Greenville since 1981. She was a member of Colorado Baptist Church in Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice McDaniel, in 1991.
Survivors include her father, Haywood McDaniel of Forest; one daughter, Tracy Neese of Greenville; one son, Christopher Neese of Greenville; four sisters, Alline Threet of Greenville, Bessie Tharp of Jackson, Sherry McDaniel of Cleveland and Theresa McGinnis of Brandon; seven brothers, Marcus McDaniel, Don McDaniel, Bobby McDaniel, Jimmy McDaniel, Billy McDaniel, Keith McDaniel and Terry McDaniel, all of Forest.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville.

INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Lula Mary Bryce, 62, of Indianola will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mount Beulah MB Church, Indianola. She died March 25, 2002, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Arrangements are under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Ethel) Taylor of Indianola and Marvin (Nina) Bryce Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Develyn (Sammie) Durn of Ruleville and Peggy (Will) Dollison of Virginia Beach, Va.; five brothers, Leroy Doyle and James Abbeys, both of Chicago, Arnold Doyle of Leland, and Eddie Doyle and Kenny Doyle, both of Los Angeles; and three sisters, Barbara Washington of Los Angeles, Fannie Abbeys of Gary, Ind., and Lucy Abbeys of Chesapeake, Va.

Mitchell
INDIANOLA — Graveside services for Cecil Roy Mitchell, 84, of Indianola, a retired construction contractor, will be today at 2 p.m. at Indianola Memorial Gardens, Indianola. He died of heart failure March 25, 2002, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Indianola.
Mr. Mitchell served in the Army from 1943 to 1946.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Jo Dieu of Coquille, Ore.; one son, Michael Mitchell of Coquille, Ore.; six sisters, Willie Sue Crimm of Jackson, Sarah Weeks of Haughton, La., Ruth Gould of Richland, Dixie Wray of Kilmichael, Mary Rosson of Lake Village, Ark., and Anne Hodge of Indianola; and two brothers, George Mitchell of Parson, Tenn., and Billy T. Mitchell of Colorado Springs, Colo.

CHEROKEE VILLAGE, Ark. — Funeral services for Robert C. Morris, 89, of Cherokee Village and formerly of Leland, Miss., will be today at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Cherokee Village. He died March 21, 2002, at his home. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Columbarium under the direction of Heath Funeral Home, Hardy.

CLEVELAND — Funeral services for Frankie Lee Nash, 94, of Cleveland will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at United Baptist Church, Cleveland. She died March, 21, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Macedonia MB Church Cemetery, 2 1/2 miles north of Pace, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
Frankie Lee Nash was born March 10, 1908, in Jackson, Miss., to the late Savannah and Amanda Lee.
She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Earnest J. (Althea) Johnson of Mystic, Conn., Jerry D. (Lynette) Nash of Glendale Heights, Ill., Scott Nash of Madison, Wis., and Frazier (Edna) Nash of Cleveland; nine daughters, Maple McDale, Hattie (Willie) Anderson, Sarah (Jessie) Wilson and Violet (Donald) Simpson, all of Cleveland, Gertrude Fox of Shelby, Ruthie Kinney of St. Louis, Mo., Gean (Joseph) Young and Ruby L. Gillespie, both of Milwaukee, and Kattie J. Jackson of Madison; one adopted daughter, Fay (Willie) Ward of Cleveland; one brother, Grant Lee of Greenville; 110 grandchildren; 192 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Allen Peoples, 42, of Greenville will be Friday at noon at Sisson Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville. He died March 24, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Alps Cemetery, Grace.
Survivors include one sister, Mary (Freddie) Knox of Grace; four brothers, Louis Peoples, Henry Peoples and Willie Peoples, all of Saginaw, Mich., and Robert (Jo Ann) Peoples of Greenville; and three aunts, Nettie Andrew and Rosetta Wilson, both of Fresno, Calif., and Bessie Peoples of Greenville.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.
