SHAW — Funeral services for Floyd Ware, 77, of Shaw will be Saturday at noon at Mt. Zion MB Church, Choctaw. He died March 22, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Mt. Zion MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

Mr. Ware was a retired farmer and contractor. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Vivian Ware, and one son, Floyd Ware Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Ware of Shaw; six daughters, Dorothy (Joe Willie) Shelton of Chicago, Freddie Ware, Flora (Reginald) Lewis and Contessia Jenkins, all of Portland, Ore., and Earnestine Rucker and Alexis Ware, both of Shaw; four sons, Jimmy (Mildred B.) Ware of Boyle and Carl (Doretha) Ware, Percy Ware, Larry Ware and Joseph (Jackie) Ware, all of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Annie Silas of Shaw and Elnora Fly of Chicago; one brother, Lee Lenathaniel Ware of Shaw; 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

The Rev. W.E. Tinson will officiate.

Christian

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Sadie Lee Christian, 81, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died May 23, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

Dixon

DODDSVILLE — Funeral services for Antwan Dixon, 9, of Doddsville will be today at 2 p.m. at Ruleville Central High School, Ruleville. He died May 15, 2002, at North Sunflower County Hospital, Ruleville. Burial will be in Gilfield Cemetery, Doddsville, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Ruleville.

Pastor Eddie Johnson will officiate.

Ford

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Dr. Carolyn Brown Ford, 61, of Greenville and formerly of Itta Bena are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died May 23, 2002, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson.

Gillespie

MOUND BAYOU — Funeral services for Mary Gillespie, 65, of Mound Bayou will be today at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Mound Bayou. She died May 21, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Pace, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

The Rev. W.B. Bridges will officiate.

Gober

GREENVILLE — Graveside services for Pearl Evelyn Markham Gober, 99, of Greenville will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Greenville Cemetery. She died May 24, 2002, at her home. Burial will be under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mrs. Gober was born Sept. 12, 1902 in Clarksdale, the daughter of Daniel and Rosaline Markham. She was a resident of Mississippi Extended Care Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lee Roy Hall and Oscar L. Gober; a son, Lee Roy Hall Jr.; and two daughters, Christine Hall Ferrell and Rose Marie Hall Rummell.

Kline

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Henry Kline, 62, of Greenville were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Springfield MB Church, Greenville. He died May 15, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Metcalfe, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Kline of Greenville; five sons, Henry Kline, Earnest Kline, Charles Kline and Ben Kline, all of Atlanta, Ga., and Marcus Kline of Greenwood; three stepsons, Leo Johnson, Eddie Johnson and Robert Johnson, all of Greenville; three daughters, Anita Kline of Atlanta, Ga., Latorya Kline of Chicago and Marilyn (Marcus) Miller of Greenville; two stepdaughters, Mary Johnson and Wanda Johnson, both of Greenville; three brothers, William T. Allen of Charlotte, N.C., Jerry Allen of Dallas and Cleo (Earnestine) Allen of Greenville; one sister, Lena (Willie) Brown of Greenville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The Rev. Earnest Haywood officiated.

Warren

INVERNESS — Funeral services for Joshua Warren, 1, of Inverness will be today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Church, Indianola. He died May 21, 2002, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

The Rev. Terry Cobbs will officiate.

Williams

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Willie Mae Williams, 76, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died May 24, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis.

Baker

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Willie Lee "Dolly" Green Baker, 56, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New White Stone MB Church, Greenville. She died Sept. 24, 2002, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted son, Cedric D. (Theresa White) Green of Greenville; two daughters, including her loving and devoted daughter, Shareda Y. (Terrell Ashford) Baker, and Natasha A.M. (Dwight) Baker-Russell, both of Greenville; one stepson, J.W. Brown of Greenville; a loving and devoted sister, Herticene B. (W.S.) Kelly of Greenville; one brother, T.R. (Claudette) Cochran of Shellville, Ga.; four loving grandchildren, Jarvouse L. White, Jai'me T.D. Albert and Jerome X.D. Ashford, all of Greenville, and Kiara L. Gibson of Evansville, Ind.; seven stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; three aunts, Berndene Brady and Beatrice Goldman, both of Greenville, and Laura Watson of New Orleans; five special cousins, Mary Walker, Dorothy Barnes, Willie Mae Sanders, Emma Johnson and Demetria Edwards, all of Greenville; her father-in-law, Frezel Baker of Lake Providence, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A life lived as Sister Willie Lee "Dolly" Green Baker cannot die, but will live on in all hearts and memories of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Rev. E.P. Powell is pastor of the church. The Rev. Kenneth Davis will officiate.

Broom

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Ellie Broom, 88, of Greenville are pending at Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Sept. 29, 2002, at his home.

Caffey

CLEVELAND -- Funeral services for Pinkey McChristian Caffey, 89, of Cleveland and formerly of Ruleville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at United Baptist Church, Cleveland. She died Sept. 28, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Green Grove Cemetery, Linn, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at T.L. Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Cleveland.

Cobb

BELZONI -- Funeral services for Ernest Lee Cobb, 63, of Belzoni, a retired catfish farmer, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Belzoni. He died of cancer Oct. 1, 2002, at his home. Burial will be in Greencrest Cemetery, Mississippi 12, Belzoni, under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Master Sgt. Ernest Cobb was a 30-year veteran of the Mississippi National Guard, having retired after a career of distinguished service. He was a 33rd degree Mason, Jackson Scottish Rite Bodies, and a member of Indianola Lodge No. 450. Ernest worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an animal health technician for 18 years. Since 1998, he had served as Humphreys County safety coordinator. He was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni. He had led his church's Outreach Ministry as the lead teacher/trainer of Evangelism Explosion.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harper Cobb, and one sister, Marguerite Lloyd.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Cobb of Belzoni; one daughter, Connie (Keith) Wells of Isola; two sons, Robert E. "Bobby" Cobb and Thomas Sidney Cobb, both of Belzoni; one sister, Annie Ruth Millsaps of Greenwood; three brothers, Harper Leon Cobb of Dallas, and James Richard Cobb and Edward Earl Cobb, both of Isola; and three grandchildren, Ora Sidney Barger and Leah Christina Barger, both of Isola, and Morgan Brittany Wells of Morton, Miss.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, Belzoni.

The Rev. Richard Wiman will officiate.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 73, Belzoni, MS 39038.

Davis

EUDORA, Ark. -- Funeral services for Alma Davis, 95, of Eudora will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holly Grove MB Church, Eudora. She died Sept. 27, 2002, at Chicot Memorial Hospital, Lake Village. Burial will be in Holly Grove MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville, Miss.

DeLoach

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Ida Pearl DeLoach, 88, of Greenville are pending at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Oct. 1, 2002, in Sardis.

Dodd

INDIANOLA -- Funeral services for Loyd Allen Dodd, 61, of Indianola will be today at 2 p.m. at Card Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Oct. 1, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery, Ruleville.

Mr. Dodd was born in Sunflower County to John Howard and Willie Mae Gibson Dodd. After graduating from high school, he entered the Army. Because of his exemplary character and background, his honesty and trustworthiness, he was selected to serve in the Signal Corps of the White House during the Eisenhower and Kennedy terms of office. He traveled with the presidents and their families to handle coded messages for the presidents and to protect their families.

After his military service, he returned to Sunflower County to farm with his family and eventually to serve as Sunflower County unit road manager.

He leaves his family and many friends with the knowledge that he dedicated his life to the service of others.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Carr Dodd of Indianola; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Dodd of Leachville, Ark.; one son, Thomas Walter Dodd of Sylacauga, Ala.; his father and stepmother, John Howard and Alice Holeman Dodd of Sunflower; one sister, Janie Marie Dodd Fales of Binghamton, N.Y.; and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
