Mary E Ghee
May 2, 2015

Mary Elizabeth (Lloyd) Ghee, of Great Falls, passed peacefully on May 2, 2015 from complications associated with renal failure.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at O’Connor Memorial Chapel, 2425 8th Ave North. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 9:00 am also at O’Connor Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Highland cemetery. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mary lived life to the fullest. Once she retired from her position as supervisor of the blood bank in the lab at Benefis (Deaconess when she started) after 25 years of dedicated service, she focused her extraordinary energies on her family, her church (Union Bethel A.M.E.), and her numerous charities. She was elected Grand Worthy Matron in her Eastern Star Grand Chapter, and Commander of the Montana DAV Auxiliary. If there was something that needed to be done, she managed to be involved in it. The Great Falls Rescue Mission, Mercy Home, Children’s Receiving Home, and the Veterans Ride Free program were but a few of the local charities that benefited from her involvement.
Born the third child of 13 children to Reverend Eugene Lloyd and his wife Emma, Mary began her journey through life on December 25, 1936 in Russellville, South Carolina.
An avid traveler, Mary attended church conferences, DAVA conventions, and Eastern Star-related events. She also traveled around the country and the world to visit her children and her friends.
Mary was a Veteran, having served in the USAF; working in the field of aerospace medicine. Since her husband of 56 years was also military, Mary made a home for her family in San Antonio and Abilene, TX and Cheyenne, WY, before they chose to retire from Malmstrom AFB and remain in Great Falls.
Mary is survived by her husband, Frank F. Ghee, Jr; daughters Francina (Crickett) Clayton, Genise (Candy) Ghee, Melony Ghee Griffith, and Frankie Valinda Ghee; sisters Doris Pyles and Gwen Robinson; brother William (Percy) Lloyd; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and innumerable sons, daughters, and grandchildren of her heart.
Mary was preceded in death by her only son, Howard Ghee, her parents and 9 of her 12 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to one of the charities listed above, or Peace Hospice House in Great Falls, MT.

She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Paris Gibson Junior High School and graduated from Great Falls High School, where she was a member of the Delphian Choir for many years.
In 1949 she met Costa Billinis (who was in the Greek Merchant Marine and was on leave in Vancouver) at a Greek wedding in Salt Lake City. Two Greek family friends introduced them and soon after they were engaged and got married November 12, 1950. Later that year they moved to Great Falls to take care of her ailing mother.
Angela’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a lifelong member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where she served in many areas. She loved to sing in the choir and was a member of the Ladies of Philoptpchos Philanthropic Organization.
In 1960 Angela and Costa scheduled a trip to fly to Greece to adopt a baby. TWA Airlines unexpectedly went on strike, so they decided to take the trip by boat all the way to Greece. Despite Angela’s extreme fear of drowning, since she didn’t know how to swim, she put her fears aside and spent many weeks on the ship, just to be able to get her baby. At the orphanage they chose a six month old baby girl named Maria, because Angela said that every time they went into the orphanage Maria would squeal at the top of her lungs.
Angela’s greatest joy in her life was loving and spending time with her granddaughters, Nicole and Jasmine! Whenever they would call her “Iyah!” she would beam from ear to ear, overflowing with joy!
Angela loved music and could play the piano by ear. She loved to sing, cook and serve her family and friends.
She loved her nieces, nephews and cousins very much! The times she spent with them brought her much happiness!
Angela will always be loved and remembered for her servant heart and her endless dedication to her family!
Angela is survived by her daughter; Maria of Great Falls; granddaughters Nicole and Jasmine Acord of Great Falls, brothers Harry Cladouhos of Washington D.C. and Peter (Doris) Cladouhos of Great Falls.
Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Costa Billinis; parents Vasilious and Chrisanthy Cladouhos; and sisters Agnes Karis and Catherine Thomas.

Iva Wiseman
May 19, 2015

Great Falls has lost one of its great ladies. Boots Wiseman passed away on May 19th at the age of 82.
Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Great Falls on Saturday, May 23rd at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home.
She arrived in Great Falls in 1971 as an Air Force wife with a passel of boys and a dog. She proceeded to build a career in nursing at Deaconess and Benefis which remains legendary today. She trained and supervised hundreds of nurses during her time there, and then proceeded to establish the infection control protocol that is used everywhere in the hospital to this day. Boots is still widely known and remembered throughout the Benefis organization, and by nurses all over Montana.
Born in Dust Bowl Oklahoma, Boots was raised all over Texas. Hard times required her to take care of her three younger brothers in Panhandle towns like Pampa, Borger, and Dumas. During high school in Dumas, she was in the marching band with a tall boy named Bill Wiseman, but didn’t care much for him. She went on to nursing school, and during Bill’s college career he began to look more attractive to Boots, and she to him. They married and embarked on an Air Force career that eventually landed them in Great Falls.
Along the way, they lived in 30 homes and travelled all over the world. Boots had the unique distinction of moving her family from Great Falls to Stuttgart, Germany, and then three years later, back to Great Falls.
After retiring, Boots remained active with many organizations, including the Montana Victim Witness program, the Salvation Army Auxiliary, PEO, the Great Falls Travel Club, and the First Presbyterian Church. She and Bill travelled to Latin and South America, China, and Europe.
As her health declined, Boots showed many mere men what double tough really looks like by enduring multiple surgeries, walking with great difficulty, yet still managing to take care of Bill during his own decline into multiple health problems. She was admired by many friends for maintaining two homes and an always classy personal appearance. She continued to learn new skills right to the end, as when she had to take over the family finances during the past several years. Boots taught us by example the simple lesson that you never, ever give up.
Boots is survived by her husband, Bill Wiseman; sons Don (Vicki) Wiseman of Ketchum, ID, Brady (Cyndy Andrus) Wiseman of Bozeman, and Kelly Wiseman also of Bozeman; and brothers Bill Libby and Dusty Libby, both of Texas.
The Wiseman family would like to express thanks and gratitude to the Benefis organization for its kind and compassionate care.
