POLK
CLOVER, S.C. -- Mr. William Claude Polk Jr., 76, of 667 Bonum Road died Oct. 18, 2000, at Courtland Terrace in Gastonia following a 6 1/2 -year battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born April 15, 1924, in Mecklenburg County to William Claude Polk Sr. and Elma Gelenius Polk. Mr. Polk was a veteran of World War II. He was a pilot with the U.S. Air Force and flew missions in C.B.I. Fronts. He joined the N.C. Air National Guard in 1953 and retired in 1982 as lieutenant colonel. Mr. Polk was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School in Winston-Salem and a graduate of N.C. State. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Louise E. Polk of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia and Michael Clinard of Gastonia and Vicki and David Gluek of Bozeman, Mont.; four brothers, Robert L. Polk of Greensboro, James K. Polk of East Bend, Donald Polk of Lewisville and Charles Polk of Winston-Salem; and three grandsons, Scott and Leigh Clinard of Charlotte, Nick and Susan Clinard of McKinney, Texas, and Andrew Gluek of Bozeman, Mont. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Clover, S.C., conducted by Colonel (CH) Samuel D. Maloney. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the N.C. Air National Guard Scholarship Fund, c/o Lt. Col. PRAEGER
Mary "Polly" Wallace Praeger was born June 20, 1908, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Edwin Chapin and Carolyn Foster Wallace. She died Oct. 17, 2000, in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Praeger graduated from Saint Lawrence University in 1929, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She received her master's degree from Radcliffe College and also studied at Harvard and the University of Hawaii. Mrs. Praeger was an English teacher in New York, Ohio and Hawaii until she married her husband, Howard, in 1940. She later returned to work as the director of volunteer services at the Binghamton State Hospital in New York State. Mrs. Praeger's life was exemplified by service to others. She devoted countless hours in New York state to improve libraries on the local, county and state levels, serving as the president of the State Library Trustees Association. She received the Velma Moore Award for her "outstanding contributions to the expansion and improvement of library services in New York State". When she and her husband retired to Santa Barbara, Calif., Polly continued her involvement in local libraries, she served as chairwoman of the Santa Barbara Library Board of Trustees as well as the Three County Library Systems Citizens' Advisory Board and was director of the Friends of the Santa Barbara Library. Throughout her life, Mrs. Praeger was an active member of the American Association of University Women and the League of Women Voters. She served the Presbyterian church for many years as an elder, chairwoman of Missions Commission, co-chairwoman of the Committee on the Homeless and trustee of the Infant Day Care Center. In Santa Barbara her concern about the homeless led to her involvement in the founding of Transition House, an emergency shelter for the homeless. Mrs. Praeger moved to Winston-Salem in 1995 after the death of her husband and resided in Heritage Woods. She was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church. She is survived and deeply missed by her daughter, Pamela Kahl and her husband, Fred of Winston-Salem; her son, Geoffrey Praeger and his wife, Cynthia of Spokane, Wash.; four granddaughters, Catherine Kahl, Christina Kahl, Elisabeth Kahl DiPietro and husband, Gregg DiPietro and Tara Praeger; two nieces, Kathryn Hird and Sara Heitshu and her great-granddaughter, Isabella DiPietro. Her sister Carolyn preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland Presbyterian Church. SMITH
Mrs. Rosella Cunningham Smith, 77, of 1616 Emerald St. passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a period of illness. She was born in Heath Springs, S.C., to the late Robert and Sadie Cunningham. She attended First Assembly of God and was a retired employee of Forsyth Memorial Hospital in 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard N. "Mutt" Smith, and two daughters, Barbara Jean Cain and Phyllis Smith Penn. She is survived by a devoted son, Harold (Diane) Smith of Winston-Salem; a devoted daughter, Angelyn Smith of Winston-Salem; a loving stepson, Ezell Thompson of Winston-Salem; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lee Agnew of Winston-Salem, and Elizabeth (Randy) Harris of Bridgeport, Conn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at the chapel of the Russell Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Crump officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery. SPRINKLE
ELKIN -- Mrs. Sadie Benge Sprinkle, 75, of Zephyr Road died Thursday morning, Oct. 19, 2000, at the Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Sprinkle was born in Surry County on Nov. 26, 1924, to the late Clarence and Ida Coe Benge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Powers Sprinkle. Mrs. Sprinkle was retired from Elkin Valley Apparel and was a member of Salem Fork Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian "Doodle" and Monroe "Monk" McCraw of Elkin and Linda and Ronnie Spann of Elkin; a son and daughter-in-law, Myron and Dorcas Sprinkle of Dobson; five grandchildren, Vicky Presley, Jason McCraw, Patrick Spann, Brock Spann and Stella Lynn Sprinkle; a stepgrandson, Marty Dalton; a great-grandson, Kyle Presley; three sisters, Maggie Whitaker of King, Onita Riggs and Geraldine Martin, both of Mount Airy; and a brother, Cecil Benge of King. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Davis & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Salem Fork Baptist Church cemetery. STREETT
FLORENCE, S.C. -- Ruby E. Godwin Streett, 75, died early Thursday morning, Oct. 19, 2000, in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Godwin cemetery in Lake City, S.C. Mrs. Streett was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret Webster Godwin. She was a graduate of Lake City public schools and was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. Surviving are six sons, James E. "Butch" (Dianne) Streett and Rodney K. (Jeannie) Streett, both of Florence, Michael E. Streett of Thomasville, Joseph Mac (Nell) Streett of Charleston, S.C., Christopher V. (Melinda) Streett of Colorado, and Ben D. (Maggie) Streett of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Brenda K. Streett of W. Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Kent (Betty) Godwin of Florence, and Van (Elizabeth) Godwin of Olanta, S.C.; two sisters, Jean (Clyde) Carnes of Charleston, S.C., and Joan (Junior) Filyaw of Scranton, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her loving companion and fiance, Vaughn "Jack" Davis of Florence. VOGLER
Mr. Wade Victor Vogler passed away Oct. 19, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1921, to Charles and Mamie Todd Vogler. He was retired from R.J. Reynolds "R&D Research" after 30 years service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Tesh and Ula Frye; an infant son, Robah Charles Vogler; and a grandchild, Mark Johnson. Surviving are his wife, Doris Smith Vogler of the home; five daughters, Geraldine Charland and husband Lou of Pinnacle, Judy Bolin and husband Kenneth of Harmony, Sandra Hudspeth, Betty Cusson and husband Rick of Winston-Salem and Patricia Burke and husband Jimmy of Lewisville; a son, Wade Vogler Jr. of Winston-Salem; three stepdaughters, Teresa Fowler of Danbury, LaNeta Fowler of Charlotte and Donna McKinney of Lake Norman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gerald Vogler, Richard Vogler and Raymond Vogler, all of Winston-Salem; and four sisters, Dolly Riddle of Advance, Mary Jones, Garnett Bodford and Gladys Hockday all of Winston-Salem. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church cemetery on Jonestown Road. WHITE
Mrs. Zelma Carter White, 68, of 2106 Bertha St. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn D. Carter and Someria Lynette Robinson (Charles Sr.); two sons, Earl L. "Butch" Carter and William D. "Billy" Carter (Sonia); a sister, Lucy C. Slater (Willie Roger); three special grandchildren, Charlita, Charles Jr. and William "Little Billy"; three additional grandchildren; a niece, Jackie Redd; and a nephew, Javon Cook. Zelma also leaves to cherish her memory a very close friend, Gracie Oree, and a chosen son, James "Catfish" Parker. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. Samuel P.L. Hickerson presiding. WHITLOCK
HARMONY -- Mrs. Georgia Mae Myers Whitlock, 60, of 4795 Balsom Road, Pfafftown, died Wednesday at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. Born in Wilkes County on July 29, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Ethel Madison Myers. On June 28, 1996, she married Mr. Bobby G. Whitlock, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Arnold Pigman and his wife, Shelia, and Jody Pigman and his wife, Cristina, all of Hamptonville; and two daughters, Mrs. Carol Nicholson and her husband, David, of Statesville, and Mrs. Crystal Reavis and her husband, Patrick, of Hamptonville. Additional survivors include three stepsons, Steven Gray Whitlock of Lewisville, Timothy Joel Whitlock of Winston-Salem, and Tony Lee Whitlock of Pfafftown. Additional survivors include a brother, Charlie Myers of Olin; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Harris of Greensboro, Mrs. Geraldine Mitchell of Hamptonville, and Mrs. Alline Gregory of North Wilkesboro; six half brothers, Carl Myers Jr., Donnie, T.W., Dwight and Ricky Myers, all of Lexington, and Larry Myers of Love Valley; and two half sisters, Mrs. Betty Broadway and Miss Margie Myers, both of Lexington. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Sweet Home Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Redmond and the Rev. Steve Pope officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will assemble at the residence of a daughter and her husband, David and Carol Nicholson, at 417 Myers Mill Road, Statesville, and will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony.

BARLOW
THURMOND -- Mr. James Odell Barlow, 75, of Thurmond, died Monday, October 18, 1999 at 3:05 a.m. at Elkin Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 2:00 p.m. at Mtn. Park United Methodist Church by Rev. Tony Bowman and Rev. Jim Darnell. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Barlow was born in Wilkes County May 27, 1924 to James Monroe and Nancy Staley Barlow. He was a member of Mtn. Park United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II, where he was in the Battle of the Bulge, received three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was retired from Zwick Corp. Surviving are his wife, Irene Norman Barlow of the home; two daughters, Lisa Anice Barlow of Thurmond and Lynn and Ronald Potter of Monroe; one son Larry and wife, Lucille Barlow of Rock Hill, S.C.; three grandchildren, Jason Gowen of Monroe, and Chris Barlow and Anita Manion both of Rock Hill, S.C.; and two brothers, Claude Barlow of Fremont, Calif. and Elmer Barlow of North Wilkesboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home in Elkin.

BAILEY
LEWISVILLE -- Mr. Frank T. Bailey, Sr., 101, of Lewisville, died Saturday, December 4, 1999 at Vienna Village Retirement Home following a few months of declining health. Mr. Bailey was born April 25, 1898 in Forsyth County to Charles P. and Ellen Kiger Bailey. He was the seventh child and was the last surviving of 20 children. Mr. Bailey was a circuit preacher for 50 plus years in North Carolina and Virginia, for the Church of Christ. He was currently serving as an Elder with the Church of Christ at Ebert Street in Winston-Salem and his vocation was grocery store owner and later a contractor in Forsyth County. Mr. Bailey married Goldie Mae Lambert of Miami, Fla. on May 1, 1924. They traveled together extensively from their home on Dorse Road, near Lewisville, during their 67 years together, before she preceded him in death September 29, 1991. Mr. Bailey is survived by three sons and their wives, Max and Margaret, Lee and Joanna, Frank, Jr. and Eunilee. A forth son, Jack preceded him in death in 1983. He is the grandfather of 14; and great-grandfather of 15. Two of his grandchildren preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at Hayworth-Miller, Kinderton Chapel by Mr. Donald E. Bailey, Mr. Marvin Williams, and Mr. Joe McCullom. Burial will follow at Boyer's Chapel Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. BROWDER
ADVANCE -- Mrs. Jessie Smith Browder, 92, of Baltimore Rd., passed away Sunday, December 5, 1999 at her home. Mrs. Browder was born May 30, 1977 in Alexander County, N.C. to the late Jackson and Roberta Ford Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.T. Browder in 1979, after 49 years of marriage; two brothers, Jackson Smith and Gilbert Smith; and three sisters, Rowena S. Adams, Willie S. Campbell, and Johnsie S. Hedrick. Mrs. Browder spent her life taking loving care of her family. She was a member of Advance Methodist Church. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by one son, Ben Browder and wife, Ann of Advance, N.C.; two daughters, Ann B. Seamon of Mooresville, N.C. and Sue B. Folmar and husband, Paul of Advance, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Tom Browder, Angie Slabach, LuAnn Parker, Suzanne Merrill, Martha Landis, David Folmar, John Folmar, and Linda Plitt; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. at Advance Methodist Church in Advance, N.C. with Rev. Reg Alderman and Rev. David Childers officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 6, 1999 from 7-9 p.m. at Davie Funeral Service Chapel. COMBS
Mrs. Mary Morris Niestlie Combs, 91, a resident of The Oaks at Forsyth, died Saturday at the Oaks, where she had resided for several years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Loves United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Combs was born October 7, 1908, daughter of Moses W. and Elizabeth Caffey Morris. She was a longtime resident of the Walkertown community, and one of the oldest members of Loves United Methodist Church, where she faithfully worked as the church Treasurer and also taught the Lizzie Booe Clement Sunday School Class for many years. She was preceded in death by two husbands, John W. Niestlie, Sr. and Rev. Gilbert R. Combs; and by a son, John W. Niestlie, Jr. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Betty B. Niestlie of Westerville, Ohio; a granddaughter, Brenda M. Niestlie of Portland, Ore.; a stepson, Rev. William P. Combs of Roanoke, Va.; a stepdaughter, Julia C. Hanks of Houston, Texas; six step-grandchildren, Rev. Stephen R. Combs of Charlotte, N.C., Marion C. Gogel of Lynchburg, Va.; W. Jonathan Combs of Annandale, Va., Ruthmarie Siminski of Lake Toxaway, N.C.; Sallie H. Benton of Smyrna, Ga.; and Judybeth H. Wooten of Houston, Texas; a niece, Bette M. Garwood of Advance, N.C.; and a nephew, Michael F. Morris of Huntersville, N.C. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care Chapel, 401 South Main St., Kernersville, from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, and request that any memorials be made to Loves United Methodist Church.

DULL
Mrs. Eugenia Shore Dull, 76, of Winston-Salem died Friday, December 3, 1999 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, following several years of declining health. Mrs. Dull was born in Forsyth County on January 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Numa N. and Lillian Reed Shore. She was a graduate of Salem College. For several years, before her marriage in 1950 to Hubert Ray Dull, Sr., Mrs. Dull taught music in the public schools of Charlotte and Winston-Salem. She was a member of Calvary Moravian Church and the Old North State Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a Cellist with the Charlotte and Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestras. She was a devoted daughter and cared diligently for her father until his death in 1973. She was a beloved wife to her husband until his death in 1974. Mrs. Dull was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by four daughters, Lucy Donadio of Clemmons, Jane McCready of Fort Mill, S.C.; Betsy Reagan of Winston-Salem, and Anne Baird of Royal Oak, Mich.; one son, Hubert Ray Dull, Jr. of Winston-Salem; and 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Robin Baird, Daniel and David Reagan, Joseph and Charlie McCready, Brian and Katie Donadio, and Jordan and Sarah Dull. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 1999 at Calvary Moravian Church. Rev. Lane Sapp will officiate, assisted by Rev. David Merritt. Burial will follow in Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Vogler and Sons, Main Street Chapel and suggests that memorials be made to the Music or Band Funds of Calvary Moravian Church, 600 Holly Avenue, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the loving care given to Mrs. Dull throughout the years of her illness by many caregivers. They also wish to thank the doctors and staff of the 4th floor intermediate care unit and 7th and 10th floors of Reynolds Tower of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for their care and compassion during Mrs. Dull's most recent illness.

ELLIOTT
WALKERTOWN -- Mr. George Winford Elliott, 71, husband of Roslyn (Rosie) Kennedy Elliott, of Walkertown, N.C., passed away December 5, 1999 at Winston-Salem Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. Mr. Elliott was born June 23, 1928 to John Daniel and Nora Jean Conley Elliott. Mr. Elliott was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Old Domonion Box Co. Surviving are his wife, Roslyn (Rosie) Kennedy Elliott of the home; one daughter Charlotte Ann Young of Columbus, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, James and wife, Joan Elliott of Bucyrus, Ohio; one special nephew, Randy Rutledge and wife, Diane of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two grandchildren, Allison and Matthew Young; four sisters, Ruby Pigdon of Vanceburg, Ky., Garnet Holt of Vanceburg, Ky., Evelyn McKee of West Union, Ohio, and Louise Roop of Belsprings, Va.; and one brother, Howard Elliott of Christiansburg, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and Chapel in Pilot Mountain, N.C. by Rev. Roger Baker. Burial will be in the Brims Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Pilot Mountain, N.C. by Rev. Roger Baker. There will be no formal visitation. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Mr. Elliott's nephew, Randy and his wife, Diane Rutledge of 2875 Shiloh Church Road in Winston-Salem, N.C. FULK
WESTFIELD -- Mr. Royce William Fulk, 80, of 3433 Moores Springs Rd., Westfield, N.C., died Sunday, December 5, 1999 at his home. Mr. Fulk was born November 10, 1919 to James William Fulk and Maude Booth Fulk. He was a retired Farmer. Mr. Fulk was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mozelle Southern; and one brother, Earlie Fulk. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Southern Fulk of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, William Younger (Faye) Fulk of Westfield, N.C.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Amy (Jason) Inman of Shoals, N.C.; four brothers, Clyde Fulk, Percy Fulk, and Billy Fulk, all of Danbury, and David Fulk of Westfield; and two special nieces, Mattie Sue Mabe and Nancy Young, both of Westfield, N.C. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Charlie Stevens and Elder Ray Flinchum will officiate. JEFFRIES
Mr. Clarence Irwin Jeffries, 53, of 1319 East Clemmonsville Road, passed away on Friday, December 3, 1999 at Forsyth Medical Center following a period of illness. He was a native of High Point, N.C., born on June 20, 1946 and had lived in Winston-Salem, N.C. since 1995. He was a graduate of North Carolina Central University, Class of 1968, and was a member of the Mount Sinai Full Gospel Deliverance Center, where he was a member of the Usher Board. He was formerly employed as a dietary supervisor at Springwood Care at Forsyth Nursing Facility. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Watson Jeffries of the home; two sons, Craig Jeffries and Brian Jeffries, both of Columbia, S.C.; an aunt, Iola Moffit of High Point, N.C.; two uncles, Arthur McCloud of Washington, D.C. and Walter McCloud of High Point, N.C.; one niece, Yvette Sims of Greensboro, N.C.; one nephew, Roosevelt Kane of High Point, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mount Sinai Full Gospel Deliverance Center with Pastor Yvonne Hines officiating. Interment will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.(RUSSELL)

JONES
RURAL Hall -- Mrs. Linda Faye Oakley Jones, 57, of Rural Hall, died Saturday, December 4, 1999 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Jones was born June 24, 1942 in Stokes County to the late Foil and Ercie Moorefield Oakley. She was a homemaker and a member of Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Tom Jones of the home; one daughter, Beverly and husband, Mark Snow of Rural Hall; one grandson, Bryan Snow; and two sisters, Dorothy and husband, Aldine Shaffer and Marjorie and husband, Ted Grogan, all of Madison. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church. Rev. Jack Danley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home in Walnut Cove. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 419 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.

MAY
KERNERSVILLE -- Mr. Terry Lee May, Sr., 48, of 5190 Barrow Road, Kernersville, died at his home Saturday evening. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hew Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Charles Carver and Pastor Garry Snow. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Mr. May was born October 11, 1951 in Richmond, Va. He was a graduate of New Hope Bible College and was an Ordained Minister. He was a former member of the Ambassadors of Hope Quartet, a member of Damasus Road Ministries, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. May had been employed by WXII Television station for the past 14 years. Surviving are his wife, Jeannie West May of the home; one daughter, Courtney Lynn May of the home; one son, Terry Lee May, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his father and step-mother, William and Margaret May of Richmond, Va.; his mother and step-father, JoAnn and Al Atkins of Lawrenceville, Va.; four sisters, Brenda Saunders of Ashland, Va., Deanna Farley of Richmond, Va., Cheryl Taylor of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Donna Vaught of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Billy May of Chesterfield, Va. and Kevin Hegamyer of Williamsburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care Chapel, 401 South Main St., Kernersville, from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, and request that any memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church or to Solid Rock Bible Believing Baptist Church.
