Judy Tibor
Judy Tibor, 46, Bismarck, died June 17, 2007 at a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Church of Corpus Christi Bismarck with Rev. Paul Becker officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck where a rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Judy was born on July 2, 1960, the daughter of Harry and Ginny (Schmidt) Neuhardt in Bismarck. She attended schools in Bismarck where she graduated from CHS in 1978.
She attended the University of Mary and NDSU and received degrees in music. Through her previous marriage, she was blessed with her daughter Samantha. Judy worked as a massage therapist and was studying to become a medical transcriptionist.
Judy loved everything associated with the outdoors; animals, camping, hunting and fishing.
Judy was an accomplished musician and directed the choir at Corpus Christi.
Judy married Joe Tibor on June 3, 2005 in Bismarck. She and Joe had great times on their cycle.
Judy’s spirituality was central to her life and she shined with a caring attitude towards others. She was true to herself and very compassionate, gentle and loving to others.
She experienced great joy when her first grandchild Mackenzie Virginia arrived and was anticipating the birth of her second grandchild.
Judy is survived by her husband and soul-mate, Joe Tibor of Bismarck, ND; her daughter, Samantha (Daniel) Fuller of Minot, ND; her granddaughter, Mackenzie Virginia Fuller of Minot, ND; her father, Harry Neuhardt of Bismarck, ND; her sister, Nancy Neuhardt of Madison, WI; her step-sons, Joe Tibor Jr. of Hebron, ND, Michael Tibor of Bismarck, ND and David of North Carolina; her step-daughter, Melinda; her step-granddaughter, Gabriele.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Ginny.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Central Dakota Humane Society.

Gilbert Maas
Gilbert Gustav Maas, 83, died June 14, 2007, at the VA Medical Center in Fargo.
Interment was held Monday, June 18, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.
Gilbert was born on March 11, 1924, on the family farm west of Hebron, ND, to Gottlieb and Carolina (Meier) Maas. Gilbert worked for several farmers in the Hebron and Elgin areas until he enlisted in the Army on July 20, 1944, at Fort Snelling, MN.
He fought in the Battle of Huertgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, receiving several medals including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. A portion of Gilbert’s war diary may be found at https://home.scarlet.be/~cv920172/index.htm.
After separation from the Army June 20, 1946, in Fort Lewis, WA, Gilbert became a carpenter and worked for various construction companies, dams and air force bases. He belonged to the Carpenter’s Union Local 1091 for 55 years.
On October 22, 1950, Gilbert married Irene Staiger in Hebron, ND.
Gilbert is survived by his brother Clarence Maas, Fountain Valley, CA; a special cousin, Floyd Maas, Crocker, SD; his sisters-in-law, Pauline, Eleanor, and Leni Maas and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Christina, Louise, Sophia, Margaret, Ida, Elsie and Esther and his brothers, Philip Frederick "Fred", Theodore, Reinhold, Theodore "Ted", Henry and Harry.
The family prefers memorials to the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Eastgate Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Walter Gietzen
Walter Gietzen, 93, Glen Ullin died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. CT at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin.
Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Walter was born on a ranch in the Haymarsh area February 20, 1914, the fourth child of John and Eleanore (Wehri) Gietzen. Walter was educated in a rural school and spent his early life working on the farm as his father passed away when he was young.
He married Theresa Skalsky November 22, 1937 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. In the mid-40’s they bought their own place and farmed with his brothers and later with his sons.
Weather predictions and guessing what the weather would do by watching the sunsets and listening to nature was his hobby.
He was active in his community.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a 4th Degree Knight, state deputy of the Knights of Columbus and served on the North Dakota Board of Animal Health.
He served on local and county school boards, was chairman of the Pastoral Council under two bishops, was named Catholic Family of the Year and received the Man of the Year in Agriculture award.
Walter enjoyed and appreciated his opportunity to help people.
Left to share the legacy of his love are his wife Theresa, Glen Ullin, five daughters - Elaine (Allan) Streitmatter, Polson, MT, Joan (Gary) Weiand, Glen Ullin, Phyllis (Michael) Mackey, Davenport, FL, Maxine Schmautz, Jamestown, ND and Karen Gietzen, Bismarck, ND and five sons - Darrel (Janice), Minot, ND, Douglas (Debbie), Minot, ND, Arnold (Barbie), Dent, MN, Mark (Debbie), Bismarck, ND and Keith (Sherrie), Glen Ullin.
He also leaves 34 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brothers - Caroline Sebastian, Raymond, Arnold, Gilbert, Marcell, and Eleanor; step brothers and sisters - Peter, Edward, Bina and Anna and half brothers and sisters - Bernadine, Delores, Amos and Cyril.

Ervin Stiller
Ervin Stiller, 82, Hebron, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Medcenter One in Bismarck.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. CT at the St. John Church in Hebron.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery with military rites by Henry Biffert Post #100. Ervin was a member of Post 100 for 61 years.
Ervin was born May 29, 1925 at Eagles Nest, ND, the son of Peter J. and Petrine Maria (Olson) Stiller.
He was baptized at Sims Lutheran Church. He was raised in Hebron and attended the Hebron school, graduating from high school in 1943.
Ervin served in the US Naval Air Corp for two and a half years during World War II.
He married Muriel Rehm March 9, 1949 in Hebron. When the Korean War broke out, Ervin was recalled into the service for another 18 months and was awarded the Naval Air Medal.
He returned to Hebron and worked at the Hebron Post Office - first as a clerk and then for over 30 years as a rural mail carrier. He was awarded the million-mile safe driving award.
He served as a volunteer fireman and was a lifetime member of the North Dakota Firemen’s Assn.
Ervin served on the city council for many years, was a past president of the Hebron Credit Union, past Worshipful Master of the Hebron Masonic Lodge and member of the St. John Church.
In his spare time he loved flying, working with horses and cattle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Muriel, Hebron and a son Ross, Hebron.
He leaves two sisters - Verna Monson, Mandan, ND and Irene Roth, Clarkston, WA, a brother Melvin, Carson, CA and a number of thoughtful nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Thomas, Grover, Lawrence, Donald and Lester and sisters Sophie Rehling and Martha Jarnot.

Zachary Palmer
Zachary Palmer, 25, Hebron, died Thursday afternoon in the St. Alexius Medical Center following a three-week struggle for life, following an auto accident.
His funeral service was held Monday, September 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. CT in the First Baptist Church, Hebron.
Burial was held in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, Hebron.
Zak was born September 23, 1981 in Meridan, ID, the son of Earl and Diana Louise (Davis) Palmer. He was raised and began his education in Oregon.
He came to North Dakota in 1997 and attended school in Richardton. He worked for Craig Fischer and operated a custom combining service.
Zak met Ashlie Chase in 2001, their friendship blossomed into love and they were married May 14, 2005 in Dickinson.
Following their marriage they lived in Hebron where Zak worked for Aerial Crop Care. He earned his private pilot license and later his commercial pilot license. He was a proud member of the Aircraft Owners Pilots Association and the North Dakota Aerial Applicators Association.
Zak leaves the loves of his life - Ashlie, and his daughter, Anna.
He is also survived by his parents - Earl and Diana Palmer and his siblings - Melodie Hastrieder, Sherri (Rod) Sanders, Earl (Cindy), Breezy Palmer, Sam (Amie) Palmer, Jed (Heidi) Palmer, Whitney Palmer, Anthony Palmer, Katlynn Palmer and 19 nieces and nephews.
Grateful for having shared in his life are Keith and Cheryl Chase, Britni Chase and Pierson Chase, Craig and Amanda Fischer and their family, Brenda and Randy Kitzan and their family.
