Bonnie Keairnes
Bonnie K. Keairnes, 53, of West Des Moines, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004.
Bonnie Kallweit was born July 10, 1951, in Columbus to Dayle and Dolores Kallweit of Platte Center. She attended District 28 Elementary School in Platte Center and was a 1969 graduate of Columbus High School. She attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont. She married Mark Keairnes on Aug. 18, 1976. She worked for TWA Airlines for 24 years, first in St. Louis, Mo., and later in Omaha and Des Moines.
She had been a member of Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines for 10 years.
Survivors include: her husband; three sons, Erick, Drew and Ryan Keairnes; her mother, Dolores of Platte Center; three sisters, Cynthia Hopp of Omaha, Carol Lackey of Tulsa, Okla. and Janice Flemming of Castle Rock, Colo.; three brothers, Steven Kallweit of Columbus, Keith Kallweit of Sausilito, Calif. and David Kallweit of Tulsa, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lutheran Church of Hope Chapel, 925 74th St. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials have been established to Lutheran Church of Hope and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Yvonne 'Maxine' Nash
79, Junction City, Kan., formerly Lincoln, died Friday (8/27/04). Born, Lincoln.

Service: No services; cremation.
Family Gathering:
cemetery: Wyuka cemetery.

Family includes: sisters, Bonnie Hill, Bear, Del., Dwanna Henson, Madison, Tenn.; nieces, Carla Ooten, Lincoln, Penny DeWitt, Waverly. Preceded in death by son, Eddie Nash; brother, Ivan DeWitt.

Helen M. Gillham
10/1/1921 - 2/21/2004
Helen M. Gillham, 82, Fremont.
Died Saturday Morning at Fremont Area Medical Center.
Born October 1, 1921, in Riverdale, Nebraska. Was raised and went to school there. When she was 18 years old she moved to Oregon and then moved to Fremont in 1949. She went to work for Babendure Egg Company for about 5 years, then worked for the Campbell Soup Company until 1971, both in Fremont. She then devoted the rest of her life to being a homemaker to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a active member of the Salvation Army in Fremont.
She married John Gillham on November 29, 1951. He preceded her in death.
Survived by daughter Pat (husband Russell) Dowty of Fremont. Step-daughter Loretta (husband Jerry) Sievert of Fairmont, Nebraska. 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, February 24th, at 2:00 p.m. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Capt. Abe Tamayo of the Salvation Army will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, February 23rd from 3:00PM to 8:00PM, with family present from 6 to 8. Burial will be in Ridge cemetery. Memorials to the family.

Treva R. Conrad

Treva R. Conrad, 81
Fremont - Died at Merrick Manor Friday Morning.
She was born January 9, 1923 at Hooper, Nebraska and was raised there graduating from Hooper High School in 1940. She worked at the Dodge County Extension Office and the Nebraska Savings and Loan before joining her husband at Nebraska Printing and Litho where she worked until her retirement in 1981.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where she was in the Choir and taught Sunday School and was active in the Hospital Auxiliary and the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
Treva R. Wagner married Harold Conrad July 15, 1946 at Hooper, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established to Salem Lutheran Church and the Alzheimers Asscociation.

Julie Ann Petrow

Julie Ann Petrow, 47
Lincoln - Died on Tuesday at Monarch Hospice in Lincoln after a valiant 8 year battle with a Brain Tumor. She was born in Fremont May 20, 1956 to Jack and Madalen Petrow.
Julie Graduated from Archbishop Bergan Catholic High School in Fremont in 1974. She went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in elementary education. Her career, and the center of her social life was her 23 years working at Misty's Restaurant in Lincoln. This last year, Julie struggled with the loss of her father, Jack, and her beloved dog Jackson.
Julie leaves behind her life partner, Eric Miller of Lincoln, her mother Madalen Ortmeier Petrow of Fremont, a brother and sister in law George and Cynthia Petrow of Greenwich, CT., and three nieces, Lucy, Eleni, and Madeline.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Rev. Owen Korte officating. There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held on at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1720 Lake Street in Lincoln. Memorials have been established to Golden Retriever Rescue in Nebraska, Monarch Hospice in Lincoln, and Archbishop Bergan High School in Fremont.

Marguerite F. McCardle

Marguerite F. McCardle, 85
Fremont - Died at Hooper Care Center Monday morning. She was born July 25, 1918 at North Bend and was raised in the Pleasant Valley area. She graduated from North Bend High School in 1935 and the graduated in Business from Midland College. Marguerite worked for Equitable Savings and Loan before becoming administrator of Arbor Manor Nursing home where she worked for 15 years.
Marguerite Dunker married Derrold McCardle October 11, 1940 at Pleasant Valley. He Died September 11, 2003.
Survived by:
2 daughters: Derrolynn Weller (husband Richard) of Rapid City, South Dakota
Mary Singer (husband Chester) of Springfield, Missouri
1 son: D. Raymond McCardle of Seattle, Washington
6 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

Kenneth V. Rohrs
3/18/1924 - 1/18/2004
Kenneth V. Rohrs, 79 of Fremont died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Marquis Place Assisted Living in Elkhorn.
Born March 18, 1924 in Johnson, Nebraska. Raised in the Auburn, Nebraska area and graduated from Auburn High School in 1941. Went to Peru State College until enlisting in the Army Air Corps in 1943. Served with the 463rd Bomber Group in Italy. Was a prisoner of war in Vienna, Austria after being shot down over Vienna. He attained the rank of first lieutenant and received a purple heart.
On returning after the war, he married Glendora Galloway on July 26, 1945, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He went back to college at the University of Nebraska and completed his degree in civil engineering. Went to work for Nebraska Crib and Silo, which became Stor-Mor where he was general manager. When it was sold to Fuqua he became President of the company until his retirement in 1985.
Survived by his wife Glendora of Fremont.
2 sons- Ron Rohrs of Fremont, and Rick (wife Cyndi) Rohrs of Lincoln.
2 daughters- Patty (husband Mick) Mott of Omaha and Teri (husband Jim) Merriman of Fremont.
Brother- Dennis (wife Margaret) Rohrs of Whitewater, Wisconsin
3 grandchildren- Jared Rohrs, Courtney and Meg Merriman.
Memorial Services will be Thursday, January 22nd at the Presbyterian Church at 11:00A.M. with Rev. Richard Meyer officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
Inurnment will be at 1:00 pm at Memorial cemetery

Metta J. Marr

Metta J. Marr, 91
Omaha - Died in Omaha Thursday night.
She was born at Dawson, Iowa May 27, 1912 and moved to Fremont as a child with her parents. She graduated from Fremont High School and attended LIndenwood College at St. Charles, Missouri. She moved to Omaha in 1953. In 1965 she was employed at the library of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and in 1968 moved to Washington, DC as a researcher for U.S. News and World Report. She lived in Lincoln from 1978 to 1994 when she returned to Omaha.
She married Charles J. Marr at Marysville, Kansas July 18, 1932. He died December 5, 1965.
Survived by:
1 daughter-Julie Marr Robinson of Tucson, Arizona
2 sons-Charles James Marr (wife Pat) of Omaha
Louis Peter Marr (wife Kathy) of Beverly Hills, Florida
1 brother-Stephen E. Lewis of Fremont
9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren
Private family services will be held. There has been a memorial established to the Omaha Public Library Foundation.
