Alyce Danielson
Kearney resident, 94
KEARNEY - Alyce V. Danielson, 94, of Kearney, formerly of the Holdrege area, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at O'Brien-Straatmann-Apfel Funeral Home in Kearney with the Rev. Ken Fairbrother officiating. Burial will be at Moses Hill Cemetery near Holdrege.
Visitation will be one hour before service time Wednesday.
She was born
Nov. 26, 1909, near Wilcox to Theodore and Sophia (Lewis) Bomark.
In 1941, she married Fred Gerhardt. They later divorced.
In 1949, she married Carl Danielson. He died in 1968.
Survivors include her son, Rex of Hildreth; and sister, Lorraine Danielson of Fremont.
Additional survivors include daughter-in-law, Twila of Hildreth; granddaughters, Colleen of Kearney and Stacie of Fort Collins, Colo.; great-grandson, Drew of Kearney; and 10 nieces and nephews.
She rode a horse and buggy each day to attend Harmony Rural School in Wilcox. She later attended school in Holdrege.
In 1923, the family moved to a farm near Edison. She graduated from Edison High School in 1927.
She attended Green Gables Nursing School in Lincoln and graduated as a registered nurse in 1930.
She was a special duty nurse and provided nursing to patients still living in their own homes.
She was later employed at a veterans hospital in Milwaukee and later at a hospital in Wadsworth, Kan.
Her fiancé, Jack Meyer drowned in a boating accident in Kansas.
She was later employed at the Holdrege hospital.
She and her second husband lived on a farm near Elm Creek. They moved to Kearney in 1960.
She had lived at St. John's in Kearney for some time before her death.
She was a member of the Ladies Club while living on the farm.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Vincent Bomark; sister, Inez Hall; and daughter-in-law, Carole (Altmeyer) Danielson.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney.
Orval Foster
Lexington resident, 88
COZAD — Orval L. Foster, 88, of Lexington died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Southview Manor Care Center in Cozad.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Todd Karges officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
He was born
May 12, 1916, in Altoona, Kan., to William and Maude (McClure) Foster.
On Oct. 1, 1939, he married Dorothy Way in Smithfield.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Dennis of Stone Mountain, Ga., Steve of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Ronald of North Platte; brother, Fred of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Mary Ridgely of San Antonio, Texas, Ferril Allard of LaJunta, Colo., and Eva Truskett of Liberal, Mo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Russell Clark
Former Lexington resident, 38
GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Russell Ray Clark, 38, of Garden City, formerly of Lexington, Neb., died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at his home in Garden City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Garden City with the Rev. Lyle Stuehrenberg officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
He was born
March 15, 1966, in Enid, Okla., to Jerry and Janice (Johnson) Clark.
On May 29, 1999, he married Lindsay Jarmer in Garden City.
Survivors include his wife; son, Tristan of Garden City; his parents of Enid; brother, Rodney of Burleson, Texas; sister, Tonia of Enid; and grandmother, Frances Johnson of Enid.
G. Elaine Hannon
Wood River resident, 87
WOOD RIVER - G. Elaine Hannon, 87, of Wood River died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at the Western Hall County Good Samaritan Center in Wood River.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River with the Rev. Karen Kennerly officiating. Burial will be at Wood River Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Wood River Foundation or the Wood River Cemetery.
She was born
April 1, 1915, in Memphis to Arthur and Gertrude (Pickering) Ullstrom. She grew up in Memphis and graduated from Ashland High School in 1933.
On Feb. 6, 1935, she married Earl Luehr. They lived four years in Scottsbluff. They moved to Alamosa, Colo. Four years later, they moved to Central City, where they lived for a year before moving to Wood River in 1943. He died July 24, 1959.
On April 15, 1968, she married Mike Hannon. They lived in Wood River. He died March 6, 1993.
She was an active member of the Wood River Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include her sons, Loyd and William Luehr, both of Wood River; sister, Donna Epler of Riverton, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
Betty Jean "Red" Morris
Bertrand, 53
BERTRAND - Betty Jean "Red" Morris, 53, of Bertrand died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at her home in Bertrand.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Harris Funeral Home in Holdrege with Darrel Wissmann, PMA, officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Nelson-Harris Funeral Home in Holdrege.
She was born
Oct. 16, 1948, in Wilsonville to Maurice and Helen Keyser. She graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1966.
She married David Donaly. They lived in Lexington, and she was employed by Sperry New Holland. She also worked at Monroe Auto Equipment in Cozad and at Tri-County Hospital and the Vets Club in Lexington.
Later, she married Sonny Morris in Lexington. They lived in Lexington.
She moved to Bertrand in 2002.
She enjoyed antiques, quilting, canning, fishing camping, collecting dolls, watching Nebraska and Denver Bronco football, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her son, Robert Donaly of Bertrand; daughter, Victoria Haley of Breckenridge, Texas; stepfather and mother, John and Helen Pinner of Holdrege; brothers, Jerry Keyser and Mike Keyser, both of Wichita, Kan., Thomas Keyser of Lincoln and Craig Keyser of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters, Marjorie Hansen of Staplehurst, Dorothy Barber of Bertrand, Cookie Bradley of Holdrege, JoAnn Wagner of Barnhart, Mo., and Patty Sisneros of Frederick, Colo.; nine grandchildren; six stepbrothers and stepsisters; and special friend, Johnny Murphy of Bertrand.
She was preceded in death by a son, her father, a brother and a sister.

Ex-Arapahoe, 85
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - Ella G. Johnson, 85, of Greenwood Village, formerly of Arapahoe, Neb., died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Mariner Health Center in Greenwood Village.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. Dr. Hyeongdong Baek officiating. Burial will be at Arapahoe Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Williamson-Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe.
Loene Sherbeck
Broken Bow, 91
BROKEN BOW - Loene Sherbeck, 91, of Broken Bow, formerly of Ansley, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Ansley with the Revs. Mel Shepherd and Jim Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at Ansley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 am. to 8 p.m. Monday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow and from 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church in Ansley.
Memorials are suggested to the Ansley Rescue Unit.
