Cristobal H. Salazar, 93, of El Guache Died Sunday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josefita "Josie" Salazar; parents, Francisco and Teresita Salazar; and many brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Corraine Salazar of Albuquerque and Dorothy Serna of El Guache; three grandsons; special friend, Ben Trejo; and many other relatives and friends.
A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass will tentatively be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Please contact Block-Salazar Mortuary office for confirmation.

PAUL MEDINA, 55, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Monday. He was born in Farley to the late Jose Manuel Medina and Antonia Frances Martinez. He worked for many years as chef for Theresa's Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Antonia Medina; one grandson; sister, Virginia Medina; brothers, Johnny Medina and Paul Medina. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Tutor and husband Jason and Deborah Ortiz and husband Anthony, all of Roswell; son, Michael Pogue of Albuquerque; Mary Stroud and Jody Roybal, both of Las Vegas, N.M., and Juanita Dominguez and husband Freddie of Rio Rancho; brother, Raymond Medina and wife Geneva of Clayton; half sisters, Rafaelita Derrera and Agnes Romero, both of Denver; half brothers, Al Medina and Max Medina, both of Denver; and many other relatives and friends. A public visitation will be held all day today until time of rosary at the Rogers Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. ALBERT SANCHEZ, 82, died Monday. He was born in San Marcial. He served his country as a corporal in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for the railroad, was the first motorcycle police officer for the Santa Fe Police Department, and later retired from Mountain Bell. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Tessie Sanchez; daughters, Mildred Sanchez, Evelyn Sanchez and Diana Rivera and husband Louie; three grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held 6-7 p.m. followed by a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at McGee Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. McGee Memorial Chapel Mortuary, 983-9151.

BENITO L. TRUJILLO, 61, of Los Cordovas died Monday in Rachos de Taos. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edwina Valdez; parents, Demetrio and Celia Trujillo; brother, Clarence Trujillo; and sisters, Fabiola Romero and Anita Casias. He is survived by his daughter, Carmela Armijo and husband Albert; one granddaughter; sisters, Manuelita Mondragon and husband Levi Jr; brothers, Pacomio Trujillo and wife Betty, Wilfred Trujillo and wife Rebecca, Eloy Trujillo and wife Lorraine; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. STEVE BRITO, 45, of Ranchos de Taos, died unexpectedly on Monday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Obed and Aurelia Brito. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Brito of Albuquerque; brothers and sisters, Rose Baxter and husband Martin, Orlando Brito and wife Alice, Beatrice Abeyta and husband Roy, Chris Brito and wife Frances, and Frances Sauceda and husband Raul; special aunt and uncle, Arsenio and Dora Brito of Questa; and several nieces and nephews. MILTON A. SANDOVAL, 31, of Llano de San Juan, died Sunday of injuries from an accidental fall. He enjoyed hiking, fishing and being in the mountains. He was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Peñasco. He was preceded in death by his niece, Crystal Sandoval; grandfather, Fedelino Rodriguez; aunt, Cora Pacheco; and cousin, Gregory Pacheco. He is survived by his mother, Lillian Padilla and husband Larry of Llano de San Juan; brothers and sisters, Joyce Rodriguez of Albuquerque, Joe Sandoval and companion Lisa Schafter of Santa Barbara, John Sandoval and companion Mary Alice of Las Vegas, N.M., Kalvin Sandoval and Theresa Sandoval, both of Llano de San Juan, Mickey Trevino of Washington, Raymond Sandoval and fiancé Sarah Lopez of Llano de San Juan, Clyde Sandoval and wife Janice of Dixon, Pearla Sanchez of Llano de San Juan, and Nathan Rodriguez and wife Jamie of Rio Rancho; very close nieces and nephews, JoJo Lopez, Cheyenne and Cherie Sandoval, Crystal Rodriguez, Dejah and Raven Sandoval, Johnny Sanchez, David and Elijah Fresquez; and his godparents, Ed and Eva Martin of Albuquerque; and numerous other aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. DARRELL RANDY TRUJILLO, 35, of Pecos, died Sunday from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was born July 9, 1969, in Grants, the son of Lee and Orlina Trujillo. He was employed by the El Dorado Community Improvement Association. He was preceded in death by Macaila Gallegos and Nabor Gallegos. He is survived by his parents, Lee and Orlina Trujillo; brother, Marty Trujillo; sister, Jackie Trujillo; brother, Jesus Trujillo; daughter, Valerie Mazanares; sons, Darrell Trujillo Jr. and Andrew Trujillo; nieces and nephews; grandmother, Emma Trujillo; uncles and aunts; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation begins 6 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Berardinelli Family Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. JOSE "LUIS" TRUJILLO, 80, of Storrie Project, Las Vegas, N.M., died Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe following a sudden illness. He was born March 24, 1924, in Meyers to the late Brijido Trujillo and Marcelina Martinez. He married Clorinda Baca on March 1, 1949, in San Miguel. He was a lifelong Catholic and member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. He retired in 1981 from the New Mexico Highlands University print shop, where he was employed as a printer for 28 years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. He had a nickname for each of his grandchildren. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and his ranch work. He had numerous close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lawrence Trujillo; brother, Ramon Trujillo; sisters, Aurora Trujillo and Cerillia Gomez; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hipolito and Mariquita Baca. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Clorinda Trujillo of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons, Louis Trujillo and wife Cindy of Rio Rancho, and Gene Trujillo and wife Darlene of Las Vegas, N.M.; daughters, Lucy Trujillo, Yolanda Roybal and husband Henry, Rose Gonzales and Marvin Dominguez; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at the Rogers Chapel and 7 p.m Friday at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the same church with military honors outside the church. Cremation is scheduled. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at San Antonio Cemetery in Los Montoyas.
