FEDELINA GARCIA
Fedelina Garcia, 94, of Willard passed away Feb. 13, 2008 at her home with her loving family beside her.
Fedelina was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Punta De Agua, N.M., to Salvador and Maria (Jaramillo) Griego. Fedelina married Salomon Garcia in 1932. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Eucharistic League of St. Charles. Fedelina was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Earnestine Garcia; sisters, Adela Chavez; Manuelita Herrera; brother, Sisto Griego; grandson, Joe A. "Chip" Garcia Jr.; granddaughters, Jamie Garcia, Celina Salgado; son-in-laws, Terrel J. Vickoren; William Brown, sister-in-laws, Florinda Chavez and Clorinda Garcia. Fedelina is survived by sons, Chris Garcia and wife Jeannine of Willard; Joe A. Garcia Sr. of Willard; Herminio Garcia and wife Anita of Albuquerque; daughters, Rose Brown of Willard; Nora Tenorio and husband Richard of Albuquerque; Prescilla Vickeron of Lake Side, Ariz.; Miguela Tackett and husband Randy of Ft. Sumner; Gloria Padilla of Albuquerque; Ramona Sanders and husband Dave of Camp Verde, Ariz.; Lorella Alderete and husband LeRoy of Torreon; brother, Pedro Griego of Albuquerque; sisters, Virginia Aragon of Albuquerque; Carmen Thompson of Albuquerque; Mary Griego of Albuquerque; 34 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; and 27 great-great grandchildren. A rosary was recited Feb. 17 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard.
The mass was celebrated Feb. 18 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard. Burial followed at the El Rosario Cemetery in Willard. Pallbearers were Chris Garcia, Joe A. Garcia Sr., Herminio Garcia, LeRoy Alderete, Johnny Garcia, and Dave Sanders. Honorary pallbearer was Adam Garcia.

Wilburn "Sandy" Wayne Haag, 60, of Edgewood passed away Feb. 15, 2008 at home with his loving family beside him. Sandy was born July 7, 1947, in Artesia, N.M., to John Frederick and Bessie (McClure) Haag. Sandy was a member of the First Christian Church. Sandy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by sisters, Mary Beverage of Arizona; Barbara Welsh of Edgewood; nieces, Laura Sandison and husband David of Edgewood; Beth Lynn and husband Eugene of Silver City; nephews, Warren Welsh; Fred Beverage and wife Karlene; Kevin Beverage; great nieces and nephews, Bonnie Welsh; Tyler Sandison; James Sandison; James Welsh; Emily Welsh (Emily was Sandy's Godchild); Jessey W. Simpson; Jason Beverage; Brittany Beverage; John Beverage; Justin Beverage; Sister Bobbie Gibbons. A Memorial Service was held Feb. 20 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Edgewood; Donald Ellibee officiated.

CORY ARAGON
Cory Aragon died Feb. 24 at his home at the age of 23, 2008.
Cory was a young man with a gentle spirit and a cheerful and pleasant disposition. He was a hard worker who gave of himself freely. He loved playing music and being with family. Cory was a very talented writer.
Cory was an active member of the First Mountain Chapter of ABATE and shortly after joining the New Mexico Motorcyclists Rights Organizations (NMMRO) he took on the duties of secretary in that organization. He was very passionate about motorcycle rights and he was in the process of putting together his first bill to be presented to the legislators next year.
Cory will be sorely missed by both his ABATE and NMMRO families. He will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Kathy Aragon; his brothers Damon Frank Anthony Aragon, Sean Ryan and Greg Ryan; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at The Canyon de Carnuel Land Grant
Hall on March 2.

Richard William Ruhn, 54, of Edgewood passed away on March 1, 2008 at his home in Edgewood.
Richard was born on Feb. 15, 1954, in Aurora, Ill., to William Robert and Virginia Florence (Tidholm) Ruhn. Richard was preceded in death by his father. Carol Frances Mudd, 68, of Edgewood passed away March 6, 2008 at her home in Edgewood with her loving family beside her.
Carol was born November 28, 1939, in Louisville, Ky., to Charles and Margret (Pope) Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol is survived by her son, Larry Darnell; daughters, Phyllis Russell; Cyn-D Darnell; brother, Charles Wright; sisters, Marti Martinez; Peggy Munford; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held March 12 at the Mudd/Russell Family Home; Pastor H.M. Sams officiated.

GUADALUPE ANGIANO RAMIREZ
Guadalupe Angiano Ramirez, 71, of McIntosh passed away March 15, 2008 with her loving family beside her.
Guadalupe was born Dec. 25, 1936, to Gregorio and Francisa (Salinas) Angiano. Guadalupe married Reyes Vela Ramirez on Oct. 11, 1958, in Stanton, Texas, and was a member of the East Mountain Assembly of God Church in Moriarty. Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Reyes; sons, Reyes Ramirez Jr., George Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Ramereo Ramirez; daughters, Maria Rosas, Francisca Frausto, Mary Lou Ramirez, Christina Ramirez, Romona Rodgriquez, Lupe Esparza; sisters, Paline Rodriques, Manuela Flores, Chavela Carnero, Juanita Ramirez; 43 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing was March 17 and March 18 at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty. Funeral services were scheduled March 19 at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. Pastor Larry Cox officiated. Interment followed at the McIntosh Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ildefonso Galindo, Juan Galindo, Emilio Ramirez, Reynaldo Montoya, David Reggaro, Manuel Gonzales, Reyes Ramirez III, Antonio Tarango and Efren Olivas.

Flora Chavez, age 78, and Christopher Robin Chavez, age 10, residents of Mountainair, passed away on Wednesday, April 8.
Flora was a secretary for the Spanish Assembly of God Church in Mountainair, where she was a member. Flora liked cruising around town and was involved with the Mountainair Senior Citizens Center. She retired from the Mountainair Public Schools summer lunch program where she worked for 17 years. Flora enjoyed reading books, the Bible and gardening. She also liked to cook, especially desserts, and took lunch to her grandson at school every day.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Abelino; and four brothers, Santiago, Markie, T.J. and Pete.
She is survived by two brothers, Filemeno and Filbert of Mountainair; two sons, Arthur and Janie and Pete, both of Mountainair; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Christopher was a fourth-grade student at Mountainair Elementary School. He loved video games and his iPod, riding his bike, hunting and jumping on the trampoline. He was an avid sports fan, especially basketball, and his favorite football team was the Atlanta Falcons, despite his dad being a Dallas Cowboys fan. Christopher loved playing the keyboard, drums and guitar and reading Goosebumps novels.
He was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God Church in Mountainair and also attended the Christian Center on Wednesday evenings for Bible study.
Christopher is survived by his dad, Pete Chavez; mother and step-father, Ann Marie and Rusty Rippetoe; sisters, Alexandria, Amy and Angie Rippetoe; grandparents, Hannelore and Charles Parker; uncle, Rev. Arthur Chavez and his wife, Janie; godparents, Auntie Polly and Uncle Adolph Padilla and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
All services were held in the main chapel of the Mountainair Activity Center, beginning with the family receiving friends on Sunday, April 12 with a celebration of life held afterward. Funeral services followed on Monday, April 13, with interment at the Mountainair Cemetery.
Pallbearers for Flora were David Baca, Ruben Archuleta, Sammy Archuleta, Jay Issacs, Carl Archuleta and Juan Jantez. Honorary pallbearers for Flora were Azan Chavez, Vanessa Chavez, Abelino Chavez, Jennifer Chavez, Irijah Chavez, Jerika Chavez, Polly Padilla and Adolph Padilla.
Pallbearers for Christopher were Jon Phillips, Frank Rippetoe, Azan Chavez and Abelion Chavez, with his fourth-grade class and Irijah Chavez serving as honorary pallbearers.

Dale Winiford Goar, 42, of Rio Rancho passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009. Dale was born on April 3, 1967, in Albuquerque to Glenn Winiford and Lynda Christine (Engle) Goar. He was a resident of Rio Rancho since 2001, formerly of Mountainair. Dale is preceded in death by his grandfather Darnell Goar; grandparents, W.H. & Clara Engle; and niece, Ashley Renee` Goar. He is survived by his father Glenn W. and mother Lynda Goar of Mountainair; brother, Dewayne and his wife Darla Goar and nephew, Glenn Tyler Goar of Alto; grandmother, Pearl Goar of Mountainair; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was employed as an IT Computer Program Specialist at Educational Retirement Board (ERB) of NM. On May 17, 1983, he was inducted to the High School National Honor Society of secondary schools at Mountainair High School. He graduated from Mountainair High School in 1985 as salutatorian. He received a bachelor of science in computer science and mathematics in 1991 from Western New Mexico University in Silver City. As an avid fan of Rio Rancho High School sports, he received the Adult Category Class AAAAA Sportsmanship Award from the New Mexico Activities Association in 2005. Services were held Tuesday, April 14, at the First Baptist Church of Mountainair. Burial was at the Mountainair Cemetery. Rev. Paul Gerritson and Rev. Albert Hagan officiated. Pallbearers were Dewayne Goar, Ty Goar, Chuck Montjoy, Charlie Montjoy, John Montjoy, Leon Autrey, and Larry Autrey. Honorary pallbearers were Valerie Duran and all former and present co-employees of the ERB. MARION (MOTT) HENSON
On April 13, 2009, Marion (Mott) Henson, of Moriarty passed away in his home after a lengthy illness. Mott was born to the home of James Milton and Ola Christina Henson in Encino on September 2, 1920. After graduating from Estancia High School, he enlisted in the Army serving in communications. After four years of service to our country he was given the Good Conduct Medal and the Bronze Arrowhead. Mott received an honorable discharge in 1945. He met Lillie Mae Beck and married her on June 21, 1947. Starting as a dry land bean farmer he moved to driving a milk truck, and then went to work for the Moriarty Schools in the maintenance department where he retired in 1982. Shortly after his retirement he and Lil began Mott's Cabinet Shop, as well as his long fishing and fish frying career. He was a member of the Moriarty Volunteer Fire Department, Horseshoe Pitching Club, bowling leagues and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where he played a key role in remodeling and maintenance of the building. Mott was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Henson; father, James Henson; mother, Ola Christina; brothers, Elmer, Marvin, and Lester Henson; and great-granddaughter, Hydee Irwin. He is survived by his sister, Lottie Mae Beck; and brother, Otis Henson, both of Albuquerque; daughters, Barbara and her husband, Birchie West of Moriarty; and Sharon and her husband, Field Irwin of Ft. Sumner; grandchildren, Brandy Barrett of Ft. Worth, Texas, Buffy and Sid Ware of Moriarty, Becky and Paul Crow of El Paso, Holly and Wally Senetra of Rio Rancho, Guy and Melanie Irwin of Bozeman, Mont., and Levi and Susan Irwin of Clayton, N.M.; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Moriarty on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tom Schenk officiating.
