Harvey E. Secor Sr. 79, a resident of Rio Rancho passed away on January 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Hazel Secor of the family home; one daughter, Dawn Jaramillo of Midland, TX; two sons, Jack Secor and wife, Lucy of Colorado Springs, CO and Harvey Secor Jr. and wife, Kathy Franchini of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Mario, Joshua, Devin, Allie and Giovanna. Harvey served in the U.S. Army and was a WWII Veteran. He graduated from Colorado College and attended graduate school at the University of Michigan. Harvey was a member of St. Frances Episcopal Church in Rio Rancho. He owned and operated The Rug Dr. Distributorship for New Mexico since 1979. Harvey was a former assistant Boy Scout Master, he enjoyed hunting, the love of his grandchildren and his family. Service will be held Friday, January 25, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (three blocks North of Paseo Del Norte) with The Reverend Leonard Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitations for Ms. Petra Tafoya (La Cucharita) will be this evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at San Clamente Cemetery in Los Lunas, NM. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th Street NW, 898-3160.

Sandra Ann Taylor, 57, a resident of Rio Rancho and the Albuquerque area for 27 years, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2002. Sandra was born August 17, 1944 the daughter of James E. and Sally Esther Wolfgang Baldino in Moorestown, New Jersey. She had been the Conference/Travel Coordinator with the Albuquerque Academy. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho. Sandra is survived by her husband, Lynn E. Taylor of the family home, two children, James A. Yeager of Los Lunas, NM and Sherrie A. Cordova of Bernalillo, NM; and two grandchildren, Dakota James Yeager and Charles Dante Romero. The Visitation for Sandra will be today, Thursday, January 24, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be on Friday, January 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 19th Ave. and Rio Rancho Blvd., with Pastor Si Budager officiating. Cremation will follow. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho, 892-9920.

Harriet Ann Trone, 59, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002, after a long courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born in Denver, CO, February 16, 1942 to Stella and Harry Jessing. Harriet attended Durango High School in Durango, CO where she met, Donald, her future husband, at The Malt Shop where she worked in her junior year. After graduating, she and Don married July 2, 1960 and moved to New Mexico in 1964. Besides her husband of 41 years, the great loves of her life were her three children, Bob, Donna and Charlotte. Harriet was a marvelous homemaker who was known for her Italian cooking. She enjoyed her gardens and was an avid swimmer at Los Altos Pool. Harriet loved having breakfast with all of her swim friends. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with family and friends and she was a mother figure and mentor to many. She had volunteered for Hospice where she helped many people transition over peacefully. In addition to her husband and her children, Harriet is survived by her brothers, George Whitworth and Richard Jessing, his wife, Ruth of Denver, CO and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and special friend, Carrie Bailey. Her husband and children extend their heartfelt appreciation to all involved with Harriet's care including the staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and Hematology-Oncology Associates in Albuquerque, and all those who called, sent letters, cards, gifts and prayers of love. Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 24, 2002, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Deacon Frank See reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 25, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas NE, with Father Francis Malley, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, January 24, 2002, 4:00 p.m. until time of Rosary.
Harriet remains a shining light to all that knew her and will be forever missed.

Enriques Trujillo Sr.
1910-2002. Enriques Trujillo Sr., 91, a resident of Casa Colorada, peacefully passed away at his home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Louisa Trujillo; two sons; one daughter; and six brothers. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his loving wife, Juanita; his son, Johnny Trujillo and wife, Frances of Casa Colorada; his daughters, Sofie Baca and her husband, Tony of Belen, Mary Leyba and husband, Bennie of Santa Fe, Perfie Chavez and husband, Ray of Barstow, California, Linda Moya and husband, Chester of Pecos; his daughter-in-law, Carmen Trujillo and her family; his brothers, Herman Trujillo and wife, Drucila of Bosque, Willie Trujillo and wife, Florinda of Barstow, California; 29 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Mr. Trujillo will be recited on Thursday evening January 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Casa Colorada, led by his granddaughter Audra. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday January 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Casa Colorada with Father Vincent Nicosia officiating. Burial will follow in the Casa Colorada Cemetery. His Urn Bearers will be his grandsons Steven Trujillo and Michael John Trujillo. Arrangements by Riverside Funeral Home in Belen.

Glenith M. VanVickle, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Saturday, January 19, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Amendt and husband, Mike of Calhan, CO and Rita VanVickle of Albuquerque; son, Terry VanVickle of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Matt Amendt of Iowa, Travis James Amendt and Tye Weston Amendt, both of Colorado, and Shane Amendt of Iowa; and sister, Delores Wilson of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elden M. VanVickle in February 2001. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2002, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.

Margaret Velasquez, 83, a resident of Albuquerque passed away Monday, January 21, 2002. She is survived by her grandchildren, Vera Chavez and husband, Chris, Nick Brito and Jolynne Nieto, Richard Velasquez and wife, Margarita and Lorenzo Gallegos and Elizabeth Martinez; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, Paul Ray, Natasha, Isaiah, Vincente, Markeith, Paul, Ray, Jr., Tina, Chris, Trinity, Veronica, Richard, Amanda and Lorenzo; sisters, Ologia Sanchez, Emalda Chavez, Elsie Barela, Genny Sarracino; and brother, Eli Sarracino. Memorial Rosary will be recited, Friday, January 25, 2002, 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 462 Atrisco, Dr. SW with Memorial Mass to follow at 9:00 a.m.

Buddy D. Wagoner was born near Lance Creek, Wyoming on January 13, 1936 to Roy and Laura Wagoner. He died suddenly Sunday, January 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Derrek from Sun Valley, AZ and Ilene, their five children, Bryce, Nevada, Rietta, Elaina and Buddy Reese; a daughter, Teri from Albuquerque; son, Choc from Albuquerque and Sandy, their four children, Cody, Tyler, Mandy and Garrett; and daughter, Sheri Willcox from Milan and Claude, their two daughters, Dakota and Kacy. He is also survived by his brothers, Don and Rodney Wagoner; and sister, Arly Mack; and numerous nieces and nephews. Buddy graduated from high school in Douglas, Wyoming where he was active in sports. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958 where he received an honorable discharge. He and Carolyn Keeler, a teacher from Lewis, CO were married in August of 1958 and moved to Las Vegas, NM where he began careers in the livestock marketing business and ranching. In 1965, he founded Valley Livestock Auciton and in 1967 built a new, large facility in Albuquerque. In 1984, he purchased a livestock auction in Sun Valley, AZ and in 1986, built a livestock auction in Milan, NM where they moved in 1999. Buddy was an active 4-H leader for 15 years, president of the NM High School Rodeo Association, the PTA, and president of the Livestock Marketing Association for several years. He loved his life, family grandchildren and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Memorial Services will be Thursday, January 24, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Valley Livestock Auction, 7715 Broadway SE, in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the NM Boys and Girls Ranch at 6209 Hendrix, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 in memory of Buddy Wagoner would be appreciated.

Adelina (Lena) Chacon, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 20, 2002 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her nephew, Jaime I. Chacon; niece, Yvonne Pitts; grandnieces, Jolene Peralta and husband Jerry, Michele Akers and Robin Pitts; grandnephew, Jimmy Chacon and wife Lori; great-nieces and nephews, Monique and Jeremy Peralta, Casey and Cody Chacon, Alexis and Shane Akers; cousins, Rose Marie Parker and husband, Matthew, Cathy Haley, Fred Garcia and Frances Garcia; and many other loving family and friends.
She was born October 23, 1910 to Ireneo Eduardo Chacon and Maria de la Soledad Chavez, who was the first woman acting Governor in the United States.
Lena was married to David Ward on October 29, 1938, which all three have preceded her in death including her brother, Santiago (Jim) Chacon.
Lena attended and graduated from the University of New Mexico.
She taught school in Albuquerque for six years.
She went into the loan business in Albuquerque for ten years and then moved to Chicago, IL and worked for Montgomery Wards for seven years.
She went to work for the NM State Bureau of Revenue in 1961 where she retired at the age of 60.
Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE with Deacon Jose Lucero reciting.
Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 Plaza NW, Old Town.
Cremation will take place after the service and a private burial will take place at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Jaime I. Chacon, Jimmy Chacon, Jeremy Peralta, Fred Garcia, Teddy Chacon and Matthew Parker.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Anna Kaseman Hospice Unit for all their loving and compassionate care given to Lena.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, P.O. Box 26666, 87125. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Richard Krafft Weishaupt passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2001, in Phoenix, AZ.
He was born in Columbus, OH on April 15, 1931.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Danny; and his parents, Joseph M. and Chlio L. Weishaupt.
Dick attended schools in Washington Court House and Lancaster, OH graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
He was a member of the Phoenix Board of Realtors.
Dick is survived by his wife, Wanda; and step-daughters, Teresa Marshall of Loudon, TN and Kimberly Yarosh of Harriman, TN and their children, Jamie, Ashley, Adam, and Kirsten.
He is also survived by his brother, Joseph M. Weishaupt, Jr. and wife, Georgia of Santa Fe, NM; and his sister, Louise Weishaupt of Albuquerque; nephew, Michael Weishaupt and wife, Sandra of Albuquerque; niece, Tracy Ann Weishaupt Hyde and husband, Edwin of Santa Fe; nephew, James Christian of Mission Viejo, CA; grandnieces and nephews, Jessica, Matthew, Andrew and Michael Hyde of Santa Fe, Heather Christian of San Diego, CA and Kyle Christian of Mountain View, CA, Troy Cucchiara and wife, Sherry of Santa Fe, David Cucchiara and wife, Gina of Brighton, IA; great-grandnieces and nephew, Oriah, Kieghla, Elianna and Demetrial Cucchiara and many Krafft, McConnaughey and Murphy cousins in Ohio.
Cremation took place.
Funeral Services were conducted on Wednesday, December 5, 2001 by Phoenix Memorial Mortuary.

Earl Charles Young, age 80, died Monday, January 21, 2002. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Ruth Anna Young.
He is survived by his children, Tom Young of Albuquerque, David Young and wife, Glendora of Belen, Karen Metelits and husband, Irv of Albuquerque, Jackie Thompson and husband, Gary of Los Alamos, Bonny Nead and husband, Ken of Rio Rancho; and by 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Earl was born in Herrington, Kansas on July 13, 1921, but was raised with his 12 brothers and sisters in Albuquerque.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was present at the Battle of Midway.
He was a painter by trade, an artist by heart, and a lover of people by nature.
His enthusiasm and out-spoken personality made him a one-of-a-kind man, yet it is these characteristics that will cause him to be greatly missed.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the exemplary care given to our father by the compassionate staff of Manor Care Sandia and the employees and volunteers of Vista Care Hospice. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2002 at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. with Pastor Patricia Walker officiating.
Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.

MERCEDES GALLEGOS, 92, of Hernandez, died Wednesday.
He was the son of the late Hilario and Isabel Gallegos.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Gallegos; six brothers, Jose Francisco, Samuel, Frutoso, Benseslaous, Steven and Eduardo Gallegos; two sisters, Refugio Griego and Adelina Lobato; and a godson, Joe H. Baros.
He is survived by his special nephew, Joe M. Griego and wife Beatrice; grand-nephews, Pat and Max Griego of Espanola; a godson, Joseph Gallegos of San Pablo, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Isabel Valdez and husband Amadeo of Denver, Carmel Gonzales and Melita Lobato of Pueblo, Colo., Lolita Lawson and husband Arthur Lopez of Espaņola; Ramon Gallegos, Ben Gallegos and wife Lucy, Filimon Lobato and wife Isabel and Beatrice Lobato, all of Hernandez; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today, and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Block-Salazar Mortuary.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at the San Jose church in Hernandez.
Interment will follow at the San Jose Cemetery in Hernandez.

MARY R. TUCKER LAEMMLE, 90, of Santa Fe, died Sunday.
She was born Sept. 7, 1911, in Santa Fe.
She was an active parishioner of St. Francis Cathedral and a loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David R. Laemmle; sister, Ida Sosaya; brothers, Jim Tucker, Joe Tucker and Raymond Tucker; and granddaughter, Corlaine Clark.
She is survived by her daughters, Eileen Laemmle, Viola Laemmle and Bobby and husband John Armitage; sons, David Laemmle, Rick and wife Kay Laemmle and Ray and wife Liz Laemmle; brother, Willie Tucker and wife Cuca; 13 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Cathedral.
Interment will follow at Rosario cemetery.

ELOY MAESTAS, 87, of Talpa, died Tuesday at home with his family.
He was born in Taos on Sept. 22, 1914, and spent his life working with the acequias and was a member of the San Francisco Church in Ranchos.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen.
He is survived by his daughters, Millie Amaya and husband Valerio, and Joan Maestas and husband Rick Hammitt; son, Freddie Maestas and wife Patricia; grandchildren, Dilia, Randi, Freddie Jr., and Rikki; children he helped raise, Richard Hammitt, Jane Plowden-Wardlaw and Richard Vigil and wife Cindy.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today at the Sisneros LaFollette Funeral Home, and a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. at San Francisco Church.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at the Talpa Cemetery.

HELEN MCNEELY, 88, of the Las Vegas area, died Tuesday at the Northeastern Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, N.M., following a sudden illness.
She was born in Poplar Ridge, N.Y., on April 26, 1913, to the late Isaac Hazard and Elizabeth Lawton Hazard.
She retired from the Marcellus Library in Marcellus, N.Y., where she was employed as librarian for seven years.
She received her master's degree at Cornell University in 1935.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Elizabeth Hazard, and husband, William McNeely.
She is survived by daughter, Kathy Varela and husband Joseph of El Pino; son, John McNeely and wife Martha of Bangor, Maine; granddaughter, Amy McNeely; sister, Alice White and husband Henry of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, William Hazard and wife Elizabeth of Olympia, Wash.; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today at the Rogers Chapel.
Cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity of your choice. Rogers Mortuary.

JOE VINCENT ROMERO, 63, died Friday.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosina; father-in-law, Joe B. Gonzales; sister-in-law, Patti Gonzales; children, Theresa and husband Jacob, Sylvia and husband Ramiro, Daniel, Michael and wife Kimberly, Dorothy and husband Jay, and Florinda; nine grandchildren; brothers, Elroy and wife Adelmeda, and Ernie and wife Estella; sisters, Lucy and husband Jim, Lorraine and husband Bill, Margie and husband Cipriano, and Rachel; and many beloved friends.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. and a rosary will be recited 5-6:30 p.m. today at Berardinelli Family Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Reception to follow burial at the Eagles Club in Santa Fe.

ROSA SANDOVAL, 75, of Rio Lucio, died Tuesday at the family home following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donaciano and Piedad Vasquez; brother, Benigno Vasquez; sister, Lorenza Griego; and uncle, Filemon Romero.
She is survived by her husband Ernesto Sandoval of Rio Lucio; children, Dan Sandoval and wife Marcella of Colorado, Louella Scott and husband Jack of Albuquerque, David Sandoval and wife Tina of Colorado, Arturo Sandoval of Texas, Glenda Sandoval and Margie Sandoval both of Penasco, and Debra Lopez and husband Julian of Rio Rancho; sister, Ramona Vigil of Rio Lucio; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. today at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at the Llano Presbyterian Cemetery.
