Ruggiero, Guido: Suddenly, March 28, 2000 in Indian Shores, FL. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret. Survived by his cherished wife, Janis Granite Baker; dear daughter, Cynthia (Tommy) Driver; devoted son, David J. (Linda) Ruggiero of PA; son, Professor Guido Ruggiero Jr. of PA; brother, George (Ann) Ruggiero of FL; sister, Attilia Tomaino of CT; grandsons, David C. and Jason F. Ruggiero of PA; loving step-daughter, Florence (Frank) Stadler; stepson, Steven C. Baker of TX; dear step-grandson, Aaron Stadler; brother-in-law, Dr. James R. (Dr. Betsy) Granite of PA; many dear friends, especially Angelo Sorbello and Carl S. Baker.
He was one of the most kind and loving of men. Those whose lives he touched have been truly blessed. He was one of G-D's most precious possessions and will be painfully missed.
Friends and family are sincerely invited to attend Guido's service Wednesday, April 5, 12 noon at the Anthony Funeral Chapel, Inc., 2305 Monroe Ave. 14618. Burial will be in Honeoye Falls Cemetery on Clover St. followed by a celebration of Guido's life to be held at the Spring House, 3001 Monroe Ave. 14618 immediately following the burial. Stone, Ruth E. : CHILDWOLD: Age 81, died Sunday, April 2, 2000 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. She was born on June 1, 1918 in Rochester, the daughter of Peter and Cora (Brizee) Young. Mrs. Stone attended Rochester schools and married Gordon Stone on August 19, 1939. Mrs. Stone worked as a clerk at a drug store and operated a Nursery School at Greece Baptist Church in Rochester. She and her husband retired in 1976 and moved to Childwold. She is survived by her husband of 60 years; 2 sons, Jon of Williamson, NY, Douglas of Rochester; 2 daughters, Donna Amoroso of Childwold, JoAnne Stone of Penfield, NY; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Schultz of Childwold and 1 brother, Peter DeYoung of Rochester.
There will be no calling hours. Burial at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Childwold Presbyterian Church at a later date. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider High Peaks Hospice, Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Childwold Presbyterian Church. Bill owned and operated Penman Associates in Rochester for many years. He was a former Mason, Lions Club member and current member of the Greater Rochester Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Assoc. He founded Youth football in Chili and was the owner/head coach for the Monroe Mustangs, semi-pro football team. He was proud of his family and his service to his community and country.
