Cecelia Bara
AMSTERDAM - Mrs. Cecelia Furman Bara, 87, of Grand Street, died Sunday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home.
Born in Amsterdam, Mrs. Bara was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Bara was a burler at the former Mohasco Industries for 42 years. She later worked for Coleco Industries before retiring.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and the St. Stanislaus Seniors.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Bara, whom she married Nov. 9, 1983; a daughter, Catherine De Voe of Amsterdam; a sister, Katherine Skrzynecki of Amsterdam; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church St., and at 9 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church. Calling hours will be from 4 this afternoon until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church or school.

Doris Haff
DUBLIN, Ga. - Mrs. Doris L. Haff, 63, of Dublin, formerly of St. Johnsville, N.Y., died Saturday at a hospital in Dublin.
Mrs. Haff lived in St. Johnsville before moving to Dublin 34 years ago.

Mrs. Haff was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dublin.

Mrs. Haff was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 121.

Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Haff; a son, Jason Haff of Dublin; a daughter, Denise Jump of Dublin; her mother, Blanche Plank of Fort Plain; three sisters, Shirley Wittmann of Albany, Kathy Meehan of Scotia, and Marshia Seeley of Fort Plain; and four grandchildren.

The service will be held at 11 this morning at the First United Methodist Church, Dublin.

Burial will be in Northview Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Townsend Bros. Funeral Home, Dublin.

Earl Schaufelberg
TOWN OF FLORIDA - Earl F. Schaufelberg, 86, of Route 30 South, died Sunday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a short illness.
Born in the Town of Florida, Mr. Schaufelberg was a 1932 graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch High School and a 1934 graduate of the New York State Ranger School in Wanhkena. He was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Schaufelberg was a farmer and co-owned and operated the Chuctanunda Farms in the Town of Florida.

He was a charter member of the Florida Volunteer Fire Department and was a former superintendent of the Chuctanunda Cemetery Association for 55 years. He was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Schaufelberg attended the Family Bible Church.

His wife, Helen Sievers Schaufelberg, whom he married Oct. 8, 1949, died in 1983.

Survivors include a brother, Donald H. Schaufelberg of Minaville; and four sisters, Grace Grantier of Central Bridge, Ruth Neznek of Scotch Bush, and Marjorie Hugg and Jeanne Schaufelberg, both of Minaville.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Spring burial will be in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Volunteer Fire Department or the Family Bible Church.

George Durocher
LATHAM - George J. Durocher, 92, of Latham, died Monday at home.
Born and educated in Cohoes, Mr. Durocher was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.

He was a machinist at the Watervliet Arsenal for many years before retiring.

Mr. Durocher was a member of the Mechanicville Golf Club.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Harriet Campbell Durocher; and a brother, Henry Durocher of Ballston Lake.

The services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, and at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road.

Calling hours will be from 5 this afternoon until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Gladys Chrysler
ROTTERDAM - Mrs. Gladys Bradt Chrysler, 89, of Princetown Road, died Sunday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Chrysler was a homemaker. She was also a cafeteria worker at the Jefferson School for about five years.

Mrs. Chrysler was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge and the former Helderberg Grange.

Her husband, Floyd Chrysler, whom she married Oct. 6, 1928, died in 1976.

Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Mangrum of Rotterdam and Melvia Palmer of Esperance; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway at Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Spring burial will be in Viewland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rotterdam Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

NISKAYUNA - A memorial service will be held for H. Gladstone McKeon, who died Feb. 10.
It will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Niskayuna Reformed Church, Troy-Schenectady Road.

Jeannette Prizant
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Jeannette Prizant, 80, of Schenectady and Margate, Fla., died Sunday.
Mrs. Prizant was born in Brooklyn.

She lived in Ferndale, Sullivan County, most of her life, moving to Schenectady five years ago.

Mrs. Prizant was a member of Pythian Sisters in Ferndale.

She was the widow of Cecil Prizant.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Prizant of Arlington, Mass., Arlene Prizant-Riley of South Natick, Mass. and Alice Birnbaum of Schenectady; and several grandchildren.

A service will be held at 3 this afternoon at the Beth Israel Cemetery Chapel, Abbottsford Road.

A period of mourning will be observed at the home of Alice and Jay Birnbaum, 842 Dean St., Schenectady through Sunday evening.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205; or Community Hospice, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.

Arrangements are by the Levayah Chapels.

John `J.A.' Ennello
MECHANICVILLE - John "J.A." Ennello, 65, of Park Avenue, died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a long illness.
A lifelong Mechanicville resident, Mr. Ennello was a 1951 graduate of Mechanicville schools.

He was the superintendent of water for the City of Mechanicville when he retired with 38 years of service in 1993 from the Mechanicville Department of Public Works.

Mr. Ennello was a co-chairman and charter member of the Mechanicville Family Day Committee.

He was the treasurer of the Mechanicville City and Classic bowling leagues for many years.

Mr. Ennello was a member of the Italian Fraternal Society and the Plum Brook Fish and Game Club.

He was a member of Assumption-St. Paul Church and a member of its Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife, RoseMarie Perretta Ennello, whom he married Oct. 5, 1963; two daughters, Deanna Butler of Mechanicville and Dana Wrobel of Stillwater; his mother, Rose DeVito Ennello of Mechanicville; a sister, Rosemary Rubino of Mechanicville; and three grandsons.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Assumption-St. Paul Church, William Street. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mechanicville Family Day Committee or the Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute.

Joseph Cardenas
GUILDERLAND - Joseph M. Cardenas, 34, of Beckley Mobile Home Park, died Sunday at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born and reared in Newburgh, Mr. Cardenas moved to the Capital Region seven years ago.

He was the manager for KEM Cleaners on Route 155 for the past six years. Previously, Mr. Cardenas worked for Economy Cleaners in Newburgh.

Survivors include his mother, Bernadette Fonseca Guevara of Guilderland; a sister, Justine Cardenas of Newburgh; and a brother, Edward Cardenas of Texas.

A service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hearley and Son Funeral Home, 1561 Western Ave. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Newburgh.

Memorial contributions may be made to the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York, 88 Fourth Ave., Albany, NY 12202; or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Scotia.
