Johnson, Walter A.

MACEDON - passed away at Wayne County Nursing Home on December 24, 2012 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his grandson Adam Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth; children, Jack Johnson and Jill (Arnfinn); granddaughters, Sarah (Jason) and Audra; great grandchildren, Tyler and Jordyn; many nieces, nephews and friends. Walter retired from the American Can after 38 years of service.
A graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2013. Memorials in memory of Walter may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm.

Nagel, Agnes, C.

Pickens, SC/Ontario, NY: Went to be with her lord on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the age of 85. beloved mother of her sons John (Judith), James (Theresa), Jerome, Jeffrey, Joseph, Jay (Doris), Jason, and daughters; Judy (Winsor) French and Jan (Tom) Haller. Agnes is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents Zephir and Agnes Fountaine; husband, James T. Nagel; two brothers and three sisters.
Agnes was a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Agnes worked at Strong Memorial Hospital before beginning a long and successful career at Rochester General Hospital specializing in neo-natal intensive care. Agnes was an acive member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and following her retirement was involved with the Legion of Mary where she served as secretary for many years. Agnes will be lovingly and dearly missed by her family and friends for her enthusiastic and optimistic view of life.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be offered on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580. Interment will be held at Green Mount cemetery in North Dansville, NY at the convenience of the family. Memorials in memory of Agnes may be directed to the church, or a charity of your choice.

Toole, Claudia:

MACEDON - Peacefully on July 2, 2013 surrounded by her many family and friends. At the request of Claudia, and her family, her services and interment were held privately.

Wolf, Brenda A. (Johnson)

WALWORTH - Suddenly, Thursday June 27, 2013 at age 67. Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Georgia Johnson; sister, Janet; niece, Donna. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard "Dick" Wolf; children, Rich (Tammy) Wolf, Dave Wolf, and Kim Wolf; grandchildren, Alex and Ashley Wolf; sister, Dolores (Arlan) Farley and Margaret Greco; brothers, Bob (Judy) Johnson and Don Johnson; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; many dear friends.
Friends are invited to join the family Monday July 1, from 11 AM – 1 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY, where her funeral service will be held on Monday July 1, at 1 PM. Interment Macedon Village cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice, in Brenda’s memory.

Taillie, Eugene H.

ONTARIO - Tuesday June 25, 2013 at age 74. Eugene is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Taillie; sons, Bryan Taillie and Kevin Taillie; daughter, Tammy Taillie; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Benjamin, and Jamie Lynn Taillie; brothers, Lawrence and Dennis Taillie; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Friends are invited to join the family Monday July 1, from 4-8 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY, where his funeral service will be held Tuesday July 2, at ­­­1 PM. Interment Furnaceville cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pines of Peace, in Eugene’s memory.

Shay, Patricia L.
ONTARIO / Jamestown: Went home with Jesus on June 27, 2013 at age 79. Survived by sons, Harold & Bill (Danna); daughters, Tina Shay-Taylor and Teresa (Greg) Fish; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; special nephew Jack (Emile) Shay; sister Wilma Bartlett.
At Pat’s request, calling hours will not be observed with the courtesy of no flowers. Hobin, Claire England

WILLIAMSON - On June 17, 2013 at the age of 48. Claire is survived by her children Christina and Jeffrey Hobin, parents David and Margaret Hobin. Claire's services will be private.

Buchiere, Betty June

Lincoln: On June 20, 2013 at the age of 83. Betty was born on November 6, 1929 in Lackawana, NY. She lived for many years in the Hamlet of Lincoln located in the Town of Walworth. Betty was predeceased by her parents George and Eva Kahler and husband Angelo Buchiere. She is survived by her 9 children, Kathleen (Lee Crouch) Buchiere, Michael (Patricia) Buchiere, Patricia Donofrio, Barbara Buchiere, Thomas (Diane) Buchiere, Stephen (Anna) Buchiere, Paul (Mary) Buchiere, Christine Buchiere-Gee and Daniel Buchiere, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
No prior calling. Family and friends may gather for a celebration of Betty's life, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11AM at St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church, Walworth Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Inurnment will follow at Calvary cemetery. Memorials in memory of Betty may be directed to Walworth Ambulance.

Stager, Marianne Haders

PALMYRA - On Friday, June 14, 2013 at age 75. Marianne Haders Stager, a longtime resident of Palmyra passed away peacefully at her vacation home in Englewood, Florida after a difficult, yet graceful, struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Marianne was a 1955 graduate of Lourdes High School in Cleveland, OH and a 1959 graduate of Notre Dame College having completed her studies in Math and Physical Education. While in college, Marianne met Paul Stager and the two were married in Cleveland in 1961. Paul, Marianne and their 5 children moved to Palmyra in 1977 where Marianne raised her children and was a very active leader in the community. Marianne was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church where she taught religious education, served as a Stephen Minister, along with developing and directing a summer day camp in Palmyra that organized adventures for hundreds of children. Marianne earned her masters degree from Nazareth College and continued her vocation by working in special education at Williamson High School. In addition, Marianne enjoyed staying active by walking, biking, playing softball, skiing, golfing, gardening and visits with treasured friends and neighbors.
Marianne will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Paul; children Chuck (Luara), Kathy (Peter), Mike (Eloise), Don (Maureen) and Trish (John Mark); 18 grandchildren; extended family and friends.
All are invited to call on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 2-5PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra. Marianne’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 9:30AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Church St., Palmyra with interment following at St. Anne’s cemetery. Buck, Edith Chase

ONTARIO / Rockledge, Florida: Edie Buck, a longtime registered nurse at the doctor's ofices in Ontario, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2013 after a lengthy illness at the age of 92 in Rockledge, Florida. Edie was born on February 28, 1921 in Deer Lodge, MT. Edie's family moved to Painted Post where she attended and graduated from Painted Post High School in 1938 and went on to receive her nursing degree from the University of Rochester. While in School, Edie met Charles Buck of Albion, NY on a blind date. They went on to be married on July 25, 1943. Initially, they resided in Greece, NY but eventually moved out to their historic 1938 cobblestone on Walworth Road, Ontario in 1950. Edie became well known as a nurse and x-ray technician at the doctor's offices of Loomis, Goff and Koretz in Ontario. Edie was a woman of conviction and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ontario Center. Edie enjoyed golf, bridge, travel, baking, writing letters, crossword puzzles and crafts. Those less fortunate were often beneficiaries of her generosity. Above all, family gatherings were the most important activity in her life.
Edie was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 2009. Edie will be lovingly remembered by her five children; Jeffrey (Samantha) Buck of Newport News, VA, Cheri Mascitti of Penfield, NY, John Buck of Rockledge, Florida, Jamey Buck of Seal Rock, OR and David (Michele) Buck of Amherst, NY; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
No prior calling. A celebation of Edie's life will be offered on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 1638 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Memorials in memory of Edie may be directed to the church.

Welkley, Helen Louise “Whitenight”

WALWORTH - Went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, June 6, 2013. Born June 13, 1913 Louise was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Welkley, in 1977 and her son, Dean Welkley, in 1987. She leaves her daughter Jacklyn Ashby of West Chester, Pennsylvania and daughter Judith (Ron) Porray of Walworth, New York, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. No prior calling, all wishing to honor Helen are welcome to attend a graveside service, officiated by Helen’s nephew, Reverend Lee Welkley of Jacksonville, Florida, on June 22, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Furnaceville cemetery, Trimble Road, Ontario, New York. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Helen may be directed to Berkshire Christian College, P.O. Box 826, Haverhill, MA 01831.

Ellis, Marion E.

ONTARIO / Georgia: Died in Gainesville, GA. on March 11, 2013 at age 90. She is predeceased by her husband Luke Ellis, Jr; her sisters, Grace Laatsch, Doris Nortier & Eleanor Bird. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Jean & Ron Niedermaier; grandson Christopher Niedermaier; sisters, Lois Polkowski, Jane King & Gertrude Austin; & several nieces & nephews. A Memorial Service for Marion will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, June 18th at the Lincoln Baptist Church, 4966 Lincoln Road, Ontario. Interment immediately following at Furnaceville cemetery. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choice in Marion’s memory.

Kossuth, Helen E. (Murphy)

Ondra, Louise A.

Palmyra, NY: age 88, peacefully went to be with The Lord on Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home. Originally from Stickney, IL, Louise was the second child of Rudolph and Louisa Loula. Louise had an older brother, Rudy, who became a Chicago police officer, and a younger sister, June, who died tragically at the young age of 32 in a car accident. Louise's parents owned a vegetable truck and a corner grocery store in Stickney, IL, and the family lived behind the store. Louise graduated from Morton High School in 1943. She then worked as a secretary for a company writing government war contracts. Once she saved enough money to go to college, Louise attended Hope College in Holland, MI. Louise was an English major and won a number of oratory and writing competitions. Mom loved college and loved to tell stories of the people who she met and activities that she was involved in there! It was at Hope College that Louise met Robert Ondra. Louise and Robert were married on October 20, 1951. Robert attended seminary at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI, and it was there that they began their life together. The first church he took out of seminary in 1956, Robert and Louise served the Palmyra Reformed Church for 44 years, until Robert's passing in 2000. Louise continued to be a vital and supportive part of the Church and the community all of her life. Besides the immense task of being a minister's wife and raising seven children, Louise served as Sunday School teacher, in the Women's Ministries, The Palmyra King's Daughters Society, Historic Palmyra Docent, area coordinator for The Fresh Air Fund, Salvation Army, secretary of Religious Education for the Rochester Classical Women's group, Palmyra Senior Citizens, and always, always a prayer warrior.
Louise is predeceased by her husband, Rev. Robert Ondra and son, James Ondra Iati. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Nancy) Ondra, Emily (Patrick) Claudio, Carol (Michael) Barros, Donna Ondra-Hares, David Ondra, and Lisa (Petr) Premyslovsky; daughter-in-law, Donna Iati; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to join the family Wednesday June 12, from 4-8 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St. Palmyra, NY. Her funeral service will be held Thursday June 13, at 1 PM at Palmyra Reformed Church, 232 Canandaigua St., Palmyra, NY. Interment in Palmyra cemetery. Please consider donations to the Palmyra Reformed Church, in Louise's memory.

Schwartz, Cindy S.

MARION - Monday June 3, 2013 at age 44. Cindy is survived by her husband, Craig Schwartz; parents, John and Beverly Close; brothers, Tim Close, Ted (Heather) Close and Christopher Close; aunt, Harriet Nemitz; nephews, Kenny Close and Kyle Close; nieces, Amber Elliott and Jessi Elliott; many dear friends. She was predeceased by her favorite uncle, Ernie Holtz. Cindy worked at Walworth Animal Hospital for 15 years and had a love for all animals.
Friends are invited to join the family Friday June 7, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY, where her funeral service will be held Saturday June 8, at 10:00 AM. Roussey, Regis G. “Reggie”

Prattsburg/ONTARIO - On Sunday, June 2, 2013 at age 68 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Claudia; children, Master Sgt. Christopher James ( Tracy) Roussey, Cathy Roussey, Heather J. ( Matt) DeVries and Karyn S. (James) Murphy; siblings, Mabel Bond, Merle (Lamarr) Roussey and Gerri (Ken) Picard; 6 grandchildren, Logan, Marcus, Matthew, Travis, Joey and Ella; sister-in-law Debbie (Dennis) Mulcahy, many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Reggie worked at Taylor Instrument for 40 years.

Edith (Lindsay) Cornelius - Clement

Phelps: passed away peacefully at Vienna Gardens, Phelps, N.Y. on Jan. 11, 2013, at age 96. Edith was born in Palmyra on March 28, 1916. The daughter of Alvin and Violet Lindsay.In her younger days Edith was active in the Palmyra American Legion, Moose Club, and Eastern Star. She attended Palmyra First Baptist Church, worked and lived in the area all her life.Edith loved to write poetry, do crossword puzzles as well as take care of her precious pets.Edith is survived by her niece Ellen Marie Lindsay, nephews George H Lindsay II, James C. Lindsay, and Raymond Cornelius.Edith was preceded by Husbands Harold Cornelius and Howard Clement, Bother George H Lindsay and sister, Ellen who died as a small child.
Interment, Palmyra cemetery on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00am.
