He retired in 2002 as a consultant for InfoMatic in Fishkill after 10 years. He was a former business manager for Stockbridge Valley schools, Poland schools, Cazenovia schools and Garrison school district. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Mattydale and on the board of West Side Ministries in Syracuse. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater.
