Jeanne Cleary
Jeanne Cleary, 78, of Loganville, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Mary and Earl Kidney, a sister Erla M. Kicklighter; a son, Edward Michael Cleary III; granddaughter, Nancy Jeanne Kuykendall, and a grandson Aaron Michael Cleary.
Surviving are her husband Edward M. Cleary; children Peggy Leicht of Loganville, Tom and Janet Cleary of Norristown, Pa., Robert and Gail Cleary of Monroe, Mary Kay and Flynn Clyburn, Madison; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cleary was a member of the St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, Snellville.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004 at the St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, Snellville. Father Jim Herrault will serve as the celebrant. Interment Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville.
Frank Riddel
Frank Richard Riddel, 57 formerly of Bellaire, Ohio, passed away Feb. 11, 2004, at Heartland Nursing Home in Hyattsville, Md.
Preceding him in death are his parents Frank and Mildred Riddel of Bellaire, a sister Victoria Riddel.
He was a Vietnam veteran and an active member in the American Legion Post 41, Silver Springs, Md.
Frank was a carpenter and contractor in the Washington, D.C. area for the past 30 years.
Frank is survived by family members and special friends, Darrell, Dolores, Lara, and Stephen Pytlik of St. Clairsville, Eric Finnicum of Bellaire, Raymond Howitz, Chip and Leah Rood, Mary Rein, and Lorin Hamlin of the Washington, D.C. area.
A memorial service will be held March 6, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Takoma Park Presbyterian Church. a reception will follow at the American Legion Post 41, 905 Sligo Ave., Silver Spring, Md.
Billy T. Wise
Billy T. Wise, 61, of New Martinsville, W.Va., died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday with services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jarvis Funeral Home, New Martinsville, W.Va.

Dorothy B. Creamer
Dorothy B. (Young) Creamer, 89, formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at Bell Nursing Home, Morristown, Ohio.
She was born July 20, 1914 in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late Frank R. and Maude (Lilly) Young.
She was formerly with the Times Leader Newspaper and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Creamer, a grandson Kent Creamer, three brothers, Fred, Robert, and Thomas Young, and two sisters Virginia Kildow and Lora Shriver.
Surviving are a daughter Carol Suriano and her husband Frank of Martins Ferry; a son Wayne W. "Wally" Creamer and his wife Pat of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; two sisters Betty Roth and husband Richard of Martins Ferry and Blanche Glavaris of St. Clairsville; three grandchildren Kelly Suriano Wolske, Nicole Slogar and Kyle Creamer, and two great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Sunday, noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, Ohio where services will be held Monday, March 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Thomas N. Thomas officiating.
Entombment follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
Robert Mowder, Sr.
Robert Ernest Mowder, Sr., 74, of Wheeling Island, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Wheeling Hospital.
Bob was born Feb. 14, 1930 in Wheeling, a son of the late Ernest H. and Carolyn Diehl Mowder.
He was retired from Carolina Freight, Martins Ferry, Ohio, was the former owner of Wheeling- Barnesville- Woodsfield Express and was vice-president of R. Mowder Real Estate Holdings, Inc. of Marathon, Fla. Bob was also a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheeling; a 32nd degree member of Scottish Rite, Wheeling, The Wheeling Blue Lodge #1, Wheeling, Osiris Shrine, Elm Grove, the Wheeling Court 13 of the Jesters, Captain of the Arab Patrol in 1971 and was a U.S. Navy Reserves veteran, having retired as chief petty officer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mrzlak Mowder in 1972 and a son-in-law, Chester G. "Chet" Fry in 1999.
Surviving are his loving companion, Sally Jo Breiding Traversa of Wheeling; four children, Kathy Lynn Fry of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Robert Ernest Mowder Jr. of Marathon, Fla, Sara Jo Snider and her husband Joe of Wheeling and Christy Lee Mowder of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, Terra Lyn Mowder, Seth Robert Mowder, Kari Elizabeth Mowder, Rachel Aurelia Mowder and Lakin Elizabeth Snider; a great granddaughter, Marissa Renee Mowder and several friends and neighbors.
Friends will be received from noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at McCoy - Altmeyer Funeral Home, 44 15th Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, with Masonic graveside services provided by the Wheeling Blue Lodge #1.

Ruth V. Johnson
Ruth Victoria Johnson,77, of Bethesda, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
She was born April 19, 1926 at Jacobsburg, Ohio, daughter of the late George Washington "Leroy" Underwood and Mary Evelyn Johnson Underwood.
She was a retired employee from Riesbeck's Food Market at St. Clairsville and a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Johnson; four brothers, Arthur, Harold, Louis and Ralph Underwood; and six sisters, twins Beatrice and Bernice Underwood, Edna Hines, Grace Saffell, Mary Homan and Alice Bumgardner.
Surviving are two sons, Edward Lewis Johnson of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Dennis Allan Johnson of Statesville, N.C.; two brothers, Floyd Underwood of Bellaire and Robert Underwood of Delaware; a sister, Alberta Shaw; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 5 p.m. until time of services at 8 p.m. with Reverend Wayne Ickes officiating.
Richard King
Richard Patrick King, 53, of Lafferty Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 in East Ohio Regional Hospital at Martins Ferry.
Richard was born Aug. 22, 1950 at Martins Ferry, the son of the late Walter L. and Josephine Loughnane King.
He didn't have the opportunity of getting a formal education, but was very proud of his responsibility at the Belco Sheltered Workshop/MRDD at St. Clairsville and was loved and will be missed by his "family" and friends at the Lafferty Road Group Home.
Richard was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lafferty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael King.
Richard is survived by his brother Gerald King of Belmar, N.J.; his two sisters, Josey Isvoranu of San Francisco, Ca., and Christine and her husband George Kaplet of St. Clairsville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, including John Kaplet of St. Clairsville and Michelle Kaplet of Stuart, Fla.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, Ohio on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Father Chester Pabin, officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Sylvia Owens
Sylvia A. Owens, 86, of Belmont, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Ohio Valley Medical Center.
She was born April 19, 1917 in Moundsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry F. Owens and Lona Rothenbuhler Owens.
Sylvia was a retired librarian for the Union Local High School and a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Franklin Owens.
Surviving is her special friend Linda Hogue of Belmont, and many other friends and neighbors.
Friends will be received Monday 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda, Virginia Geiger officiating. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bethesda.
Nota DiLoreto
Nota DiLoreto, 73, Sinclair Avenue, Yorkville, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Bell Nursing Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
Nota was sustained by her faith and her devoted husband.
She was born Feb. 5, 1931 in Weirton, W. Va., daughter of the late Sam and Stella Mavromatis Frangos.
She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Life Giving Fountain, Martins Ferry, Ohio, participated in the choir and served as treasurer, and was on the kitchen auxiliary and the Ladies Philoptochos Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Stacia Barbour of Portsmouth, Ohio.
Surviving are her devoted and loving husband of 36 years, Henry DiLoreto, a brother, John Frangos and his wife, Helen, Yorkville, Ohio, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation, Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Life Giving Fountain with Father Menelaos Papageorgiou officiating. Burial follows at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.
Trisagion service, 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
